Vintage Mid Cent.German Black Forest Coffee Table + 2 End Tables Hand Carved
Up for bids is a very unique set of 3 1950's Hand Carved Black Forest tables. You are getting a rectangle coffeee table and 2 end tables. The coffee table measures 18 3/4 tall by 55 inches long and 22 inches wide. There is some slight wear on the top around the outside of the inlaid carvings. It appears to be either fading or some slight water damage. Nothing in our opinion that cannot be repaired. The metal table edging does have sone scrapes and a small crack. The inside carved area is in perfect condition.The 2 end tables are 2 tier and they measure 20 inches wide by 26 1/2 long by 26 inches tall. Each table has a crack in the glass where the upper tier braces connect to the bottom. One crack is all the way across and the other is just an inch or so. Overall these tables are in great condition for there age. We will not ship due to ... morepossibly causing more damage. These items will be a local pick up only and will not ship.

Comes with 3 leaves that extend the table to over 100" inches. Measures 64.5" inches as shown in the pictures without the leaves. In good condition with some age related wear, a fantastic family table. In May of 1946 Carroll and Mary Henkel along with a close friend, John Harris, started a business building furniture in the basement of the Henkel home on Amherst St in Winchester, VA. The first piece was a corner cabinet, it was too big to come out of the basement in one piece, so they cut it in half, brought it out and glued it back together. It was taken to Washington D.C. and sold quickly. Soon, they moved their operations to a small ... morewarehouse next to the Henkel home. In the early 50s they moved to 660 North Loudoun Street in Winchester and their reputation for quality furniture spread rapidly. In 1954, John Harris sold his interest in the company to the Henkels. Henkel Harris employed 22 craftsmen at that time and their reputation for building quality furniture continued to spread. Carroll Henkel designed and built a new state of the art manufacturing facility in 1964 that became a model for the industry. This plant is still being used today, functioning smoothly with today's technological advances. Each piece of Henkel Harris furniture is still detailed and finished by the hands of a skilled craftsman. This is a beautiful CLOISONNE top coffee table. It is a vintage item and came from an estate. The table is in very good condition. The wood base and legs are of a red/brown wood with nice grain and heavy. The top is black and has hand painted gold decoration. It is inlaid with 3 13" genuine cloisonne panels. The 2 on the ends are the same design. But done in reverse of each other, The center one is different. The table is 48" long x 18" deep. and about 6" high. There is some minor paint wear to the gold decoration, mostly at the corners, so please see the photos. This is all hand painted so could easily be touch up if you so desire. They have scalloped top edges and curved fronts with a curved bottom tier/shelf. This fabulous pair feature a painted and distressed finish with French Country/Provincial style. The tops of the pair have a large, harlequin diamond pattern in white with gold over glaze. There are gold painted"dots" between the diamonds. The balance of the pair are black with gold accents and a slightly distressed finish with some brown wood showing through. They have a large drawer on the front with an ornate brass pull. The drawers have a beautiful"decoupaged" feature on the inside bottom. This is a French, toile style accent. Each drawer bears the Hammary stamp. However, the top split at some point and was repaired on one side. On the other side the split has left a noticeable gap. Despite this, it is still sturdy and usable as-is since it's well-supported from beneath. A few light scratches on top, but the finish and paint are still very nice. This auction is for a wonderful Fluer de Lis side table. This would make a great little cocktail table. The fluer de lis are gold and the top is marbled white looking laminate. It measures 17 1/4" tall and 14 1/2" diameter. The base and spool stand are in excellent condition. There is a light ring around the outside of the design, I'm not sure if they will come off. This furniture series was very popular with architects and designers for their offices and homes. Manufactured for commercial use and distinguished by steel cable cross braces and a heavy-duty. Welded, gloss-black steel frame with adjustable glides. Can also be used as a table desk. Overall dimensions are 30" x 60" x 29 3/4" high. Glass top is 3/4" thick with slightly rounded. Polished edges. The frame ends are rectangular and the steel cross cable braces are centered to allow seating on both long sides of the table, which comfortably seats four. The glass has some surface scratches and a small nick on one side, neither of which interfere with its usability.
