Description Offered for sale is an S. Bent& Bros. Inc. Vintage Maple 48" Round Extension Table with Two 9" Leaves. This table was manufactured in Gardner. Massachussetts and I believe it to be circa 1970's. The table has a very thick solid maple top with a beautiful grain. It appears to have been refinished on the top because the finish is in excellent shape and only has a few slight scratches on the surface. The legs are turned and have a spoonfoot. The feet do have wear. Chips and scratches(see pics#9-12 for close-ups) The table measures 48" round and will extend to 48" x 66" when both leaves are used. The chairs are also made by Bent Brothers and came from the same estate. This auction is for the table only. The chairs are listed in a separate eBay listing if you are interested in the set. It would be possible to have a sheet 18-3/4" x 10" clear of holes, or 15" x 13" clear of holes. As this is 7/16" thick, the impact resistance is obvious. For sale is an awesome vintage 1970's brass spiral table with glass top. It measures about 14 inches across and about 18 inches high. The top and base are brass circles with a brass spiral connecting them. The brass is in excellent shiny condition but does show some minor scuffs and scratches. As you can see from the pictures does not interfere with the overall beauty of piece. The smoky gray glass top is in excellent condition without any chips or cracks. Just the kind of table that would look great all decked out at your New Years Party! The table has a chestnut top that is an inch and a half thick. Chestnut looks a lot like Oak but is a little lighter in weight and often has a worm eaten look. The across the top it is 15-1/2 inches thick The over all dimensions of the table are 63 inches wide by 35 deep and 28 high. As you can see the table has leaves at the ends which extend it's depth by 13 inches. There is a replaced hinge ... moreon one of the leaves. This is what it looks like open. The rear front foot which you can see in this photograph is a replacement. The half moon stretcher should end with a nice wrought iron ball. One of the two of these balls is missing. Don't ask me how it got lost. I have no idea. As opposed to trying to find or make a matching ball it will be easier to find two finials you like and replace the missing ball and the one that is still there. The old finials just screw on and the threads are there so it will not be difficult to attach a new pair of finial or ends. This is what the original ball end looks like. Wonderful Rare D- End table. Meant to go flush against the wall. 1970's Vintage. In the manner of Karl Springer. Stands 25 3/8 in tall. Glass top measures 16 in wide and 12 in deep.
