Crafted of solid Maple in the New England States during the mid-to-late 18th Century, probably 1750-1770. The shapely top opens over ruled joints for a clean and broad surface- excellent dimensions for use as a functional card table or breakfast table, folding up as a wonderful hall table or dining room server. In 18th century homes, it was important that dining and entertaining furniture could be used flexibly for multiple uses, both functionally as a useful piece when hosting company, but also aesthetically to enhance the beauty of a given room. Evidence still in the corners and crevices of a white paint that may have been the original color. The table rests over a primarily pine frame, one leg gating outward on each side to reveal the dovetailed construction of the frame, the legs joined to the gate with double pinned tenon-mortise joints and swinging on a thick and heavy knuckle joint. Rare 18th Century Queen Anne Slant Front Desk Bandy Leg Slipper Feet No Res
Rare 18th century Queen Anne slant front desk with bandy legs and slipper feet. This desk is fresh to the market from a local estate. It looks like cherry. But I believe it is actually applewood. It measures 40" wide x 38.5" tall x 17" deep with a writing height of 26" The condition is as follows. The front right foot is broken, but the original piece is there and needs to be glued back on. There are a couple of breaks to the drawer lips(se pictures) The interior is complete, but one of the cutouts on the top of the pigeon holes is replaced. Some of them need to be glued back in place. There is a little worming to the bottom board, but overall a solid piece of furniture. The wooden pulls are replacements. The stool is 17 by 10 by 13 inches. The needlepoint has a maroon background with the center ercu. There is a floral petitpoint bouquet in the center. The outer edge has a lacy look. It is padded and has been attached with brads. The needlepoint has 2 missing stitches. The wood on the stool has some distressing. It is solid and quite heavy.

Vintage French Provincial Side End Table Circa 1920-1930 Queen Anne Cabriole Leg
This French provincial side/end table was made between 1920-1930. It has the cabriole style legs and this style is very reminiscent of the 1920's period. Very well constructed. It does have some scuffs and scratches due to it's vintage age. See pics. It has some watermarks on one of the legs that was there when previous owner bought it back in the 1950s. It measures 20 inches tall and the table surface is 24.5 x 24.5 inches. GPX will ship from my local Greyhound location to the GPX location of your choosing. There is not one nail the the construction of this little gem. The batons holding the SINGLE board walnut top. Are dovetailed to the top, then pinned through onto the apron. The legs are mortised and pinned onto the corners that make up the apron. Great tapered and splayed legs The cabinet maker that made this table. Had quite a bit of skill to build this table. Tapered and splayed legs are a relative rarity. One apology on this awesome table is somebody for whatever reason had this table apart in pieces. One of the legs has beef replaced quite a few years ago. While they followed the correct construction methods, they used poplar for the leg. Bummer. There is also a repaired patch ... moreon the top The rest of the table is constructed from walnut. If your a serious collector. This will horribly detract from the value of this table, however if you simply looking for a good useable table, at a good price with a great early look, then this is the one for you! It's a great table at a fraction of the show price of the same one if it had not been repaired. A un-repaired specimen would easily cost in upwards of $1500 at a high end antique show. Very good condition, The shaped legs of this antique draw leaf dining table are a Queen Anne style and sometimes called cabriole legs. They are quite attractive and are hard to find on a draw leaf table and even harder to find with such an elegant stretcher between them. Originally this table was made in England sometime around 1920 and is made from solid mahogany wood. The mahogany has aged well and displays a wonderful patina that everyone will enjoy. One ... moreeither end of the table is a pull out draw leaf extension. These leaves each add 14″ to the length of the table and can be pulled out independently of each other. This gives you the option to have the table 42″ long(closed) 56″ long(one leaf out) or 70″ long(both leaves out) As previously mentioned. The Queen Anne legs are a real treat to find on this table and even more spectacular is the elegant X-frame stretcher joining them. The X-frame is nice because it doesn’t interfere with chairs while adding strength to the table. Their gentle sloping shape mimics and compliments the cabriole legs. This table is in very good condition. The finish is excellent and the table is clean and ready to be used immediately. The draw leaves pull in and out easily. There is a small split on one end as shown in the photos and some minor marks(small dings) here and there as you would expect from something of this age. These small marks add to the character of the table and do not detract from its beauty. This is a wonderful table that would make a great kitchen table or large game table. Up for bid are a pair of Antique Queen Anne carved leg dining chairs. One side and one captains. The back panels are burl wood. The seat cushions are freshly professionally recovered in a lovely dark blue fabric with a predominantly gold floral pattern(see photo) The cushions have the open center construction with webbing for comfort as well as the original horsehair and felt. The webbing has been tightened and a layer of dacron batting has been added. It appears that the chairs were not recovered prior to this. The seat cushions are not permanently attached but fit snugly. Beautiful example of an early 1900's desk. Desk has early Soss concealed hinges also knows as piano hinges which were extremely difficult to install and were used on very well made pieces of furniture. This desk has cabriole legs and 2 small interior drawers. 2 sliding top drawer storage compartments and 1 exterior desk front drawer. Desk is in very nice condition. It does have a few nicks and a small area on the top of the folding flip top section that has some missing veneer and a deep nick on the back side of the desk. The small area of missing veneer is completely hidden from view when the flip top is opened. I have shown these areas in the pictures. The desk is extremely well made and of solid construction. Hard to date this very nice Queen Anne Style Stool with a Floral Needlepoint but the best estimate is around 1920-30. Needlepoint is in amazing shape and the piping(velvet? is in place. Needlepoint appears to be done by hand. The legs are quite solid with a few age-related marks that provide character but do not detract from the piece. The fabric on the bottom of the stool is all in tact and not marked or torn. Measures 14.5" by 10" by 8" It weighs about 4 pounds. We pack and ship with care. Thank you for considering this stool.
