Pot Or Urn With Lions Heads For Handle Mounts The larger weights 4lbs 12 oz and measures and measures at the top 11 1/2 inches long not counting the lions head 9 1/4 inches at the bottom. And 6 5/8 inches across at the top, 5 1/2 inches across at the bottom. The Smaller weight 13 oz and measures at the top 6 7/8 inches long not counting the lions head 4 7/8 inches at the bottom. And 4 1/2 wide across at the top and 3 5/8 at the bottom across. These were both used. And have some wear on the inside, but the outside of both are very nice, some wear and scratches on them, but I think these are very old, but not for certain. They both have a nice scalloped top. Antique Copper-Brass Coal Scuttle Bucket - Delft Handles - Lions Heads
Up for bids is this Antique Copper-Brass Coal Skuttle Bucket. These Buckets were originally used for holding coal and ashes from the fireplace. Each side of the bucket has a lion's head in brass at the base of the handle. It has a Delft- blue-white porcelain handles which makes it even more charming and attractive. There is one dent in the base as shown in the pics. It does not effect the stability and is only visible from one side. It measures about 15" tall. 10 1/2" wide, 14" long from the handle to the tip of the lip. It is made in Holland in the French Helmet Style. Up for auction is this awesome solid tiger oak buffet in excellent original finish. The mirror supports are graced with fearsome lions heads as are the front legs which taper down into paw feet. I has all the original hardware as well as the beveled glass mirror. There is some rippling on the side panels which is hard to notice unless you get up close and personal. ANTIQUE CAST IRON SAFE/BANK. This measures 6" wide x 5" deep and stands 8 1/4" high. It has 2 small drawers and 1 large drawer on the bottom. It says SECURITY SAFE on top and DEPOSIT on the bottom. The combination lock perfectly. It is dated on the bottom with the first pat. date being Feb. 15.1881 and the last pat. date is March 1, 1887. The only flaw in the whole bank is the wood in one of the small drawers has a paper liner rather than the wood which could easily be repaired. This is a very unique safe and highly detailed with all kinds of scrolling and decoration. Sessions Mantle Clock Lions Heads
Up for you consideration today is a very very nice Old Sessions Mantle Clock with the Lions Heads on the side and beautiful wooden case with triple columns on each side of the clock face. The clock measures 17" foot to foot length. The wooden cabinet measures 15 1/2" long 11 1/2" tall and 6" wide. Runs well. Has Pendulum as shown in picture. Missing the key. There is a portion of the original label on the back of the clock that opens to the clock works. It has a 5" clock face. The glass is solid. There are no scratches or cuts on this beautiful dark wood cabinet. There are some very beautiful but faint designs scribed into the wood on the front. I tested it for a week at my house and it ran. Up for sale is this Antique E. Ingraham Box Mantel Clock with Columns and Lion heads on the sides. The clock appears to be all original including the pendlum. In my opinion. It is a beautiful looking clock. It strikes on the correct hour and a bell on the half hour. The pendulum works and you can hear it ticking, but the hands don't move or move very slowly. I don't think it is a major repair job, but I do not have time to work on it. I'll leave it for someone to get a great clock who can fix the problem. 18th Century Italian Gilded Wood Hand Carved Exotic Lions Heads
Up for auction is a pair of 18th Century Italian Exotic Lions Heads. These are hand carved gilded and leafed. Integrity wise they are in very good condition. The finish does need some restoration in places where it has chipped off. these were purchased from a dealer in Paris around 2001. They were described as"18th Century Hand-carved Exotic Porpoise Heads" I describe them as Lion's heads because I think they look more like a lion. There are six of these in existence and originally surrounded an interior gazebo type structure as I was told by the dealer. Four of them were sold as supports for a table. I purchased the remaining two. These would be exquisite as the ending of a banister of a grand staircase or the supports of a bench or table where the back would sit against the wall. They are about 20" high and 16" wide ... moreare the largest point. They weigh about 25 lbs. each. I will crate them carefully for shipping. They are presently in New York City. Description Super fabulous pair of antique brass andirons-chenets with ornate designs of swags with lions heads on the bottom of the large end and flame top finials. Each measures 20" wide and 17-1/2" tall and extend back 6" They are heavy. Each weighs 17 pounds. I have shown them with a can of coke so you can see how large and impressive they are. Details are shown on the top under the flame and on the sides. The andirons have recently been polished but still retain a deep, rich patina. There is a hook on the back of the bar I have shown in the last picture- there may have been a bar as part of the set at one time. The construction of these andirons show they were made in the late 1800's or early 1900's. These are truly a magnificant set- with handcrafted workmanship that is no longer found today. You are buying a WORKING antique 8 Day time and strike black mantle clock produced in the early 1900's by the Sessions Clock Company in Forestville US. This clock has some great detail and the lions head knocker handles are great. With the detailed feet and cathedral details. The clock works fine and the chimes are all good and all of the parts are there and it is all original. There is some obvious wear from age but with a great detailed polishing it will look great.
