The top is 72 inches(6 foot) by 44 inches. Unlike most drafting table tops. This one is not full of pin holes or scratches. The top is very smooth and in great condition which is pretty rare. I've had this at least 15 years and used it with a white masonite protector over the top. There are some water stains on the top. One of the oak side caps has a small saw notch in it. The light has very good paint and works OK. The right hand Vemco 4100/30 drafting machine is in very good condtion. A few chips in the paint. It is a 30" machine which is an appropiate size for this board. I am not including any scales, they are availabe on Ebay. The stool has alot of paint worn off on the steel legs. It is the Fred Flintstone stool. Used to have a pad on top. The stool is the right height for most people who would use this table. The bottom of the drafting table is oak and is complete. I had to take parts from another table to complete the hardware on this one. There is one crack which was repaired on one of the leg braces as you can see in the pictures. Glue squeezed out from the crack wh ich is the line you see. The table tilts and can be raised or lowered. To ship this would mean crating it and unfortunately there is no inexpensive way to do this. This kept the table top pretty nice but it does show some wear. Also some stickiness from the paper that was applied. The stickiness can be removed. This was my fathers drafting table from the 1950's. I believe it was made late 40's. The table as seen in the photos is exact EXCEPT that now there is a break in the Table Top Wood across the table. It was dropped during transport and it cracked. I don't have any current pictures of the crack as the table is in storage and has been disassembled. Everything else is exactly as shown. STEEL IRON WOOD DRAFTING TABLE Vintage Mid Century Industrial Drawing Adjustable
Offering a stylish mid century drafting table which adjusts in height and angle of the top. The legs and framework are made of bent steel tubing. The black section on each upright that holds the vertical adjustment. The arcs that adjust the angle of the top, and the large hand screws that lock the adjustments are all cast iron. The top is pine with oak braces. Height adjustment ranges from 34" to 42" The roughly triangular end sections measure 26" front to back at the floor and 25" tall. The stretchers between the end sections are 48" The finish on the tubing is lightly rusted over most surfaces. The uprights that hold the top and slide up and down have been wire brushed to remove the rust to allow the buyer to see the contrast. The comparison can best be seen in photo 9. No further rust work will be done. The iron ... morepieces are all solid with no cracks or chips. The black crackle paint finish is peeling in several places. Those areas are lightly rusted. The pine wood top had a linoleum top glued to it. The linoleum had dried out and become brittle. So it was removed. Some of the adhesive still remains. The buyer can remove it for natural wood or apply a new vinyl cover. The top measures 60" x 36" The metal legs and framework will be disassembled for shipping.

This table was used at Fairchild Republic Aviation in Farmingdale New York until it closed in the late 1980's. Many aircrafts were designed there including the A-10 Warthog. Space Shuttle stabilizers, B-52 fuselage, F-4 Phantom tail sections, F-14 Tomcat tails, wing controls surfaces for 747s and 757s, T-46 and many more. This drafting table is solid. It is in very good condition and has normal age and wear. The solid wood base(W6'8" x D3' x H37" is solid oak with a deep mahogany stain& finish. The 3 side drawers and 1 flat blueprint drawer are constructed of metal with solid oak fronts. Vintage Hamilton Oak Adjustable Tilt Top Drafting Table Post 1950
Vintage Hamilton Drafting Table with adjustable tilt top. Includes the parallel bar. Lamp and a stool. You don't have to take the stool if you don't want it. Its serviceable but well worn. The top is 72" wide X 43 1/2" deep. The unit is 36 1/2" to 37 1/2" tall at the front edge. These items were used in an architects office and then a contractors office. The lock on the tool drawer is missing and the paper drawer has had damage to the left slide that has been repaired, both are shown in the photos. The drawer works fine and the repair is barely noticeable when the drawer is fully open and can't be seen when closed. The leg spacers have normal foot wear and there are some misc. scratches/ dings from many years of use. This table is thought to be from late 1950's. Available for inspection.
