The legs are hand carved with exquisite detail as is the ribbon trim around the table, and the accent around the inner perimeter of the top. The table is topped with a slab of green marbled granite. The lower level of the table is caned, which gives it a very unique and interesting design style. I am unsure of the actual age or type of wood of the table, but it certainly dates to the 19th Century. It is 28" tall, and 19" in diameter. It is a great table dating from the 1870s to 1880s. I am confident that it has had an overcoat applied at some point in its past, but it has a warm mellow touch to the medium walnut stain finish. The table consists of walnut and mahogany. It is all hand carved with the floral arrangements on the serpentine skirts and cabriole style legs. The four legs are joined together with cross stretchers in the center with a huge center finial that is an open cup. The overall size is 36 inches long, 26 inches deep and 30 inches high. The overall condition is good and tight. There are a couple of minute chips on the marble that we will detail out prior to shipping.

ANTIQUE LOUIS XV GILDED ROUND TABLE ONYX MARBLE TOP Fine antique Louis XV style round table with onyx top c. 1900 will look great as a parlor centerpiece with the vase and flower arrangements. Very elegant and well build construction feels solid and sturdy and will support a lot of weight. Due to the cabriole leg design the table can fit in small areas because the diameter of the top is larger than the bottom which allows you to put an armchair very close ... moreto this table without creating crowdedness. The table is covered with a piece of green onyx and is pretty heavy. Item is in original unrestored condition and in very good shape considering the age. However as any antique item it shown some imperfections. Which just add a vintage charm and character and will not affect the value. The original gilding has some reticulated cracks. The wood has a few splits, some pieces of the ornate foliate design are missing. I appreciate this look and would not recommend to destroy such time marks with"restoration" The table is about 29 1/2" high and 24" in diameter at the widest point. An extremely fine hand carved solid mahogany chair. This piece represents the amazing skills of the craftsman of the period. This chair is approximately 120 years old. The condition is indicative of the care this chair has received. The back. Seat and arm upholstery has been replaced with a 1940's style white& green floral brocade fabric. There are areas where the fabric has faded from the chair being placed near a window. The upper portion of the arms is covered in matching upholstery. The front skirt and side skirts boast finely carved medallion with acanthus scrolls flanked on either side by a detailed squared off areas containing flowers and diamond cross motifs. The arms have a similar carved floral and scroll motif. The upper portion of the arms is covered in matching upholstery. The chair has cabriole style legs that end with ... morescroll foot on a small pad. Vintage French Provincial Side End Table Circa 1920-1930 Queen Anne Cabriole Leg
This French provincial side/end table was made between 1920-1930. It has the cabriole style legs and this style is very reminiscent of the 1920's period. Very well constructed. It does have some scuffs and scratches due to it's vintage age. See pics. It has some watermarks on one of the legs that was there when previous owner bought it back in the 1950s. It measures 20 inches tall and the table surface is 24.5 x 24.5 inches. GPX will ship from my local Greyhound location to the GPX location of your choosing. The wood is either Walnut or mahogany. It is predominately solid wood with the back being finished in a nice veneer. It measures approximately 24 1/8" x 12" 17 3/4" There is carving on the legs and drawer. There is a missing piece of wood on the side upper panel. I must have known it was missing but hadn't given it a thought over the years. It is amazing how different you look at things when you want to sell them. It is one of my favorite little pieces but I am focusing on downsizing. The present finish is in pretty nice condition except there is a burn on the top from a hot candle in a glass votive jar.it is deep and will ... morejust have to be there.maybe a doily! Very good condition, The shaped legs of this antique draw leaf dining table are a Queen Anne style and sometimes called cabriole legs. They are quite attractive and are hard to find on a draw leaf table and even harder to find with such an elegant stretcher between them. Originally this table was made in England sometime around 1920 and is made from solid mahogany wood. The mahogany has aged well and displays a wonderful patina that everyone will enjoy. One ... moreeither end of the table is a pull out draw leaf extension. These leaves each add 14″ to the length of the table and can be pulled out independently of each other. This gives you the option to have the table 42″ long(closed) 56″ long(one leaf out) or 70″ long(both leaves out) As previously mentioned. The Queen Anne legs are a real treat to find on this table and even more spectacular is the elegant X-frame stretcher joining them. The X-frame is nice because it doesn’t interfere with chairs while adding strength to the table. Their gentle sloping shape mimics and compliments the cabriole legs. This table is in very good condition. The finish is excellent and the table is clean and ready to be used immediately. The draw leaves pull in and out easily. There is a small split on one end as shown in the photos and some minor marks(small dings) here and there as you would expect from something of this age. This is such a pretty embroidered needlepoint footstool. I believe this might be French? It is approx. 13 1/2" by 10 1/2" by 8 1/2" tall. Beautiful example of an early 1900's desk. Desk has early Soss concealed hinges also knows as piano hinges which were extremely difficult to install and were used on very well made pieces of furniture. This desk has cabriole legs and 2 small interior drawers. 2 sliding top drawer storage compartments and 1 exterior desk front drawer. Desk is in very nice condition. It does have a few nicks and a small area on the top of the folding flip top section that has some missing veneer and a deep nick on the back side of the desk. The small area of missing veneer is completely hidden from view when the flip top is opened. I have shown these areas in the pictures. The desk is extremely well made and of solid construction. FANTASTIC ESTATE FIND! This gorgeous French writing desk was sitting in a backroom with painting supplies on it.unbelievable! Although this piece is not perfect. The flaws in the top only add character and experience to the rich feel of this solid mahogany, handcrafted beauty. The wonderful handcarved cabriole legs with such an ornate fineal structure under the desktop are outstanding and capped with very ornate bronze eagle talons gripping it's ball feet present this piece of history with style, grace and strength. No one at the sale knew much about this table/desk. Except that it had been in the family for generations. The joinery help in dating this piece to prior to the industrial age with it's hand carved ducktails in the drawer and the ornate eagle talon/claw and ball feet tend to point towards an upper east coast, i.e. New ... moreYork, Rhode Island, Maryland, origin probably sometime between 1800 and 1850. The only maker's or craftsman mark are the numbers 1111 carved into the bottom of the desk and 1114 carved into the bottom of the drawer. It is pretty amazing the way it sits, but with a little know-how and the right products on the desk surface(the legs and fineal are darn near perfect) this piece would be simply stunning. I have set a lower starting price in order to compensate for finishing some flaws(but don't remove the character of age, please) and to help with shipping costs. 41"w x 26"d x29"h 1 drawer. Pair of French provincial style vintage cane-back fauteuils with ornate carving throughout the frame. These dining/ accent chairs feature hand-carved details on back and on cabriole legs and shaped splats. Vintage fabric on the reupholstered seats. The chairs are solid and firm with no wobbling. Offered from a local estate is a gorgeous set of vintage nesting tables These solid walnut or mahogany tables have cabriole legs and slide onto runners to stack away. There are inset(removable) glass tops to protect the hand painted tops. Each top is different both in scene and in background color: The largest table is 21" by 14" and 22" high the center has a pale yellow background and the design is a basket of roses with flowers and leaves vining all around. Cross hatch corners. The middle table is 17" by 13 1/2" and 21" high and the center has a pale green background with a circle medallion of flowers with cones of flowers on either side and wreath of leaves. The smallest table is 13" by 12" and 20" high with a beige background with a spray of ... moreflowers in center and leaves radiating from the corners. There is some rubbing wear on the fronts.
