This vintage table is beautiful! The table top is solid oak and is 1 3/4" thick and measures 29 1/2" in diameter. 29" high. Vintage condition with scratches and other various signs of age and use. I have sanded it so its very smooth but I did not remove all of the character. It has also been oiled and the original care tag on the bottom says to oil it once a month to maintain and add to its beauty please look at the pictures to see the table top. Mid Century Modern Butcher Block& Chrome Dining Conference Desk Table 96x42 96" wide x 42" deep x 29 5/8" tall(and has feet levelers) This table came from an estate in Philadelphia. Nice old finish. Heavy chrome plated steel legs. The table was re-glued at some point and straps were added at the five and six section(at 8 inches from the top in the pics of the underneath) The other two straps seen at the bottom don't look to be needed for anything. The only thing you can see on top. There is a slight raise in a couple spots at five meets six. We could not get it to show up well in the pics. The rest of the table is seamless. A few scratches and scuffs from use appropriate for it's age. Pick up in Wilmington Delaware is free and tax free!

I t is in excellent to mint vintage condition. It has a New Old Stock(NOS) butcher block top that we hand oiled. We acquired several B.B. tops out of a PA estate sale where the owner worked for Knoll. From what I gathered from the family at the sale Knoll produced a line of butcher block furniture. It did not go well and Knoll sold overstock to it's employees. This top is vintage 1960's and has a nice yellow patina and is in excellent vintage condition. The vintage machine base w/ cast iron wheels was sandblasted. Primed and painted flat black. The shelves were fabricated to size. It has a New Old Stock(NOS) butcher block top that we hand oiled. We acquired several B.B. tops out of a PA estate sale where the owner worked for Knoll. From what I gathered from the family at the sale Knoll produced a line of butcher block furniture. It did not go well and Knoll sold overstock to it's employees. This top is vintage 1960's and has a nice yellow patina and is in excellent vintage condition. Avondale Mills earned the respect of many mill workers for its progressive Avondale Millsprograms for employees, and the disdain of reformers for its laborpractices, particularly the use of child labor. Avondale Mills spanned the rise and fall of Alabama's industrial history, and its most notable owners, the Comer family, became some of the most powerful people in the state. The company ceased operations in July 2006, unable to compete with foreign textile manufacturers and unable to recover from a tragic train accident next to its Graniteville, South Carolina, facility in 2005. Around 1897. The Trainer family, which owned a textile business in Chester, Pennsylvania, began looking to ... moreexpand its business into the South. It focused on the new and growing industrial city of Birmingham, Jefferson County, because of its proximity to inexpensive cotton sources and labor. In exchange for stock in the company, Frederick Mitchell Jackson Sr. and other Birmingham civic leaders agreed to Braxton Bragg Comerinvest $150,000 in private funding to build a mill. Jackson, president of Birmingham's Commercial Club(a forerunner of the Birmingham Area Chamber of Commerce) pledged his help to increase employment in Birmingham. The Trainers accepted the pledge of financial assistance and sought an Alabamian to invest $10,000 in the project and assume presidency of the mill. In 1897, they approached Braxton Bragg Comer, a successful cotton farmer and businessman who wanted to support an industry that would employ both women and men in Birmingham. Comer accepted the Trainers' offer and as president became the driving force behind Avondale Mills in its early years. Even buying and weighing cotton and selling the final product, typically dyed and undyed cloth and yarn. Here we have a vintage original butcher block- table. Bought myself from an estate sale. Entire house was 1940s-60s deco orignal too, cool stuff. 100% solid"rock" maple wood too.
