It's very heavy and beautifully carved with tusks up the legs and around the top, and the legs resemble trunks. It isn't flawless and has wear from age and use including a chip at the top of one of the legs as shown in pictures 8, 9, and 11. There are some red stains, perhaps can be removed but we didn't try in order not to compromise the finish on the wood; I noticed them when looking close. The most noticeable spot of red can be seen by zooming in on picture 7. Although it's in good condition, you might want to glue and tighten up some of the seams. It is 17-1/2" in height x 13" across the top x 16" across the legs. It weighs a glorious 19 lbs. Auction includes both of the end tables pictured. Age unknown but older vintage ornate glass top end tables like no other. Wrought iron tables with leaf and flower top covered with a thick glass insert. Tables measure approximately 12" x 12" wide x 23" wide. Has light wear as pictured. Great condition for its age. So ornate and detailed- outstanding. There are a few minor scratches to the glass tops but I do not consider them serious. No chips or cracks in thick. Tempered glass tops. Tables sit level without wobbling and leg rounded bottoms are not plastic or rubber- they are a metal continuation of the table legs. I have made no attempt to clean or paint these tables. A unique/rare SET. I have 3 nesting tables that MATCH the Tea Cart. You can usually find one or the other but not both! Marquetry inlay with high gloss varnish. Great set in excellent condition. Supposedly from Germany but I think probably Italian from my research. 3 nesting tables all match and the smallest table has a music box that plays when opened(It has a lock that I don't have a key for) The tea cart brass has some tarnish-i have not tried to clean it as I'm not an expert and don't want to ruin it. The tables are made of mahogany and each is hand painted on the top. The painting features different patterns and geometric designs. All of the tables have a common pattern of painted bellflowers which are incorporated on each of the table tops. The wood has a beaded design on the skirted sections and the largest table has a gorgeous scalloped. Pie crust, raised edge. The tables are delicate in their design and construction. They have sleek, slender legs with stretcher supports attached to each leg. The two larger tables are notched on the upper, front skirt area in order to hold the smaller tables.
