antique lion griffin head bussle roman chair 6 heads
up for auction is a nice antique roman type bussle chair. it has 6 heads that are lion or griffin and claw feet in the front. i am not sure of what type wood it is made of. it almost looks like mahogany. But i think it is birch or fruitwood. i paid about 500 for this chair quite some time ago and i just had it recently recovered. so the starting price reflects pretty much what i have in it. it is a neat chair with three large heads on the top, the middle one recessed with the curvature of the chair. the top is carved scalloped above the heads, the arm tops are scalloped above the heads at the front of the arm rests. it also has a head in the bottom brace of the seat. nice claw feet with casters. the chair is in near mint condition, a few little bumps here and there, but nothing noteworthy. it is 38 inches tall, 27 wide, the seat is 18 deep, ... moreand it is about 18 inches from floor to the top of the seat. quite a large chair. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at the buyers expense. i can help arrange for shipment if that would be helpful to anyone. good luck.

There is one large rectangular runner with deer and squirrels that measures 27 x 50" long. It has a deer with antlers and a doe in the center with squirrels and flowers along the bottom edge. Set of 6 Mahogany Chippendale Style Dining Chairs Hickory Chair Co.
This set consists of two arm chairs and four side chairs. They chairs are unmarked. But I believe they are the Carolina Chippendale chairs, made by Hickory Chair Company from their James River collection. They are probably 30 to 40 years old and have minor scuffs, consistent with age. The upholstery has a few small stains, but no tears in the fabric, and they could be used as-is. These chairs were made for many years and can still be found on the company's web site.

The set of 6 hand-stitched needlepoint panels have never been used but were made to cover chair seats. Dimensions: 19" x 19" 48.scm x 48.3cm) Each panel has different fruit on it. But the background colour is more or less the same. The panel with the strawberries has the background in two different dye lots of the same colour but it is not a strong difference(see photo 7) The stitching is done in thick wool on large canvas. So the stitches are larger than usual. The colour of the background is a mauvey dusty rose. While the fruits are in all colours. There is one or two stitches missing but they hardly show due to the thick wool(photo 9) Clean. No odors, no stains, no rips, no tears. Up for auction is a 1980’s ornate Stanley Furniture Cane Back Chair Set. This includes 2 captain(arm) chairs. And 4 side chairs.The measurements include: side chairs are 42" in height, 20.5" wide, and 22" deep, the arm chairs are 42" in height, 21" wide, and 22" deep. These chairs are used, but in good condition considering how old they are. As to be expected over time, there are some light stains on the fabric, but nothing that can't be cleaned.These would be a beautiful addition to a kitchen table, dining table, or even split apart throughout the home. Seat features vintage fabric with the original cording still in tact. Each chair has a wicker cane back made out of a quality aria wood tone, cane in great condition on each chair, except for one side chair.
