Rare Pair of Antique German KPM Porcelain Girl & Boy Sleigh Dresden Figurine
This is a gorgeous pair of large handpainted porcelain figural KPM sleighs! A boy and girl dressed in Royal clothing and both sleighs covered in apprlied porcelain flowers. Beautiful! They are heavy weighted porcelain and each measure approximately 8 inches high by 10 inches wide. Both have some chipping to the applied flowers and leaves and on the boy's sleigh. It looks like there is some yellowing and wear to the paint/glaze. Not readily noticed on display unless you are looking. Overall a gorgeous Victorian pair for the collector! Here's a BEAUTIFUL find from an estate purchase; this came from a very old household in central Kentucky. And was part of a large lot of antique and vintage pottery and porcelain which I'll be listing over the next few weeks. This beautiful young lady stands about 12 1/2" inches tall. Is dressed in winter clothes and has her pocket puppy wrapped in a warm cuff. I've seen this figural before(I've been collecting, hunting, trading and buying for over 30 years) and I can assure you that this is European production, German or Dutch origin, late 19th century to early 20th century and handpainted. Lovely German antique piano baby figurine of a lovely baby girl sitting and posing for a photograph. This adorable baby girl has wavy brown hair. Blue eyes and a very life-like face. Very unusual piano baby. She is quite large. 7 inches tall in a sitting position, and 6 inches front to back and almost 4 inches wide. There is a red number 43 marked on the base. Appears to be the quality of Hertwig or Heubach but not marked as such. Great antique condition. All fingers and toes intact. There is some wear to the paint on a finger and a toe. Rare Antique Dresden Volkstedt Porcelain Military Lady German Figure Figurine
This is a stunning large handpainted figural grouping created by the oldest Volkstedt factory of Germany! It is a gorgeous piece with wonderful details. The lady is making rose garland and the gentleman is holding up a wreath in one hand and a scroll in the other. Measures approximately 10 1/2 inches high by 8 inches wide and displays excellent with minor damages. Some of the leaves and roses are chipped, one is missing on the back of her garland and the scroll in the gentleman's hand has a tiny chip. This auction is for a Rare Continental, German CONTA BOEHME group FIGURINE. Conta Boehme made this basic figural group design with a number of themes ie. chess. Cards and in this case tea party. The figurine is made of a thick rich porcelain and is notably heavy with the piece weighing 740 grams. The figure stands approximately 4 1/2 inches in height and 6 1/8 inches in length. The bottom of the figure has the incised or impressed mark"IV" and the number 3318? not sure if the second number is a 2 or 3 and if the third number is 1 or 4) During my research. I found this piece to be one of the Conta Boehme figures regarded as to be"painted with the same excellence as Meissen" I also found that. Although the figure group displays beautifully just as it is, that apparently this is the top of an ink set? The figurine is a rare ... morefind in this condition. With the delicate paint on the base edge and the raised porcelain dots on the clothing and tablecloth still present- to note: it does have several firing cracks. Rare Antique German Porcelain Volkstedt Figural Dresden Compote Couple Figurine
This is a gorgeous rare Volkstedt German porcelain figural compote! It is stunning on all sides and displays excellent! Measures a nice size of 12 1/2 inches high by 10 inches wide. As I said. Displays beautifully however there are some minor damages. Each figure has one broken finger and when you lift off the top bowl, there are some flake chips on the top of the stem. Does not show when displayed, only when the bowl is taken off. Some of the flowers have some little nicks, all very minor and not detracting. This is a gorgeous early piece dating late 1800s-1920. These are two early 1900s German Candleabras with mirrors and figurines. They are unmarked. I took them to the Antique Road Show Over a year ago where they defined them as very unique early 1900 German Fiqurines because of the mirrors. They valued them at 300 each but I do not recall the candle leaf being broken at all. I just discovered it while taken the pictures. They sold as is.

This amazing German Bisque Fairing measures about 2" tall x 2-1/8 wide. And about 1-1/2" deep. it actually rocks when you push on the ear or man. Its paint is quite worn as can be sen in the pictures. This is one of the neatest pieces of bisque i have ever come across. There is a thin are to the bisque below their legs which is quite fragile, but seems in fine condition.

She is wearing a light blue babushka or head scarf. A pink top with white sleeves, and is knitting a light blue sock. Her face and white areas are high glaze, the pink and blue are hand painted. Description Up for auction is this pair of large German Bisque Piano Baby Porcelain Figurines. They each measure approximately inches tall. It is in great shape with no chips. Cracks or repairs. If you look inside of the buggy lid down behind the baby, there is a mold flaw from manufacturing(small split line) which I've shown. This is not damage, simply in the mold, but I want to be accurate. Piano baby is a collector's term. About 1880. The well-decorated home had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figures of babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place. They range in size from 6 to 18 inches. Most of the figures were made in Germany. They are in great shape with no chips. Cracks or repairs. If you look behind one of the girls hats, there is a mold flaw from manufacturing(small split line) which I've shown. This is a gorgeous large antique figural grouping created by the Karl Ens Volkstedt factory of Germany. It is a large stunning Blanc de Chine figural group depicting a romantic couple playing music in the garden with a cherub overlooking above. Two little lambs are also present. One on the ground and the other behind them. It displays beautifully. There is a little damage. The thumb on the lady is broken and also one ear on the lamb on the ground and the gentleman's coat corner has a small chip and the bottom of the arrow bag on the back of the cherub. Even with these damages, you don't readily notice them on display due to the figure being white and the size and detail of the grouping. Very heavy weighted. Very RARE 19thc Antique German Porcelain Fairing Figurine Figure Continental
For auction I believe this to be a very rare 19thc German porcelain fairing. In all my years of antiquing I have never seen this particular model. I looked in my books. Including Victorian China Fairings, The Collectors Guide, by Derek H. Jordan and I do not see it listed anywhere. It is a very finely painted fairing. Better in quality than the majority you see besides the Vienna series. It has tiny fine painted detailing and there is gold gilt thoughout. The caption on the bottom is written in German and says something about the boys keeping their hats on. Amazing that it is also in excellent condition. I looked it over several times. Very little wear to any painting and the only chip I might feel is a teeny nick on the top of the man's walking stick. I looked it over several times before seeing that. This is a stunning rare porcelain figural created by the Carl Theime factory of Germany. It depicts a beautiful king and queen in royal blue and white. They are made in the Nymphenburg Palace, in Munich, and are simply some of the best examples of European porcelain ever made. The attention to detail and the ethereal quality of the glaze sets Nymphenburg at the very top of the European porcelain industry. And features a classical maiden and her child gardening. Made as part of a four seasons series. This one appears to be"Spring" and has the child offering his mother flowers as she tries to garden. Excellent quality and attention to detail. One of the nicest plaques I have had the pleasure of listing. Approx. measurements of the plaque is 10 3/4" in diameter and approx. 2 1/2" deep. Excellent condition with minor age appropriate wear. There is a small chip on the back where there looks to have been a wire strung through it to hang it. There is also an indented place on the bottom edge but this is from the making. All minor. No other chips. Cracks ... moreor repairs. Although unmarked. The plaque is definitely of German origin and most likely Volstedt. A complete set of 4 sold at auction at Christie's in 1998 for more than $4500 usd. VERY RARE Antique German Porcelain Fairing Figurine Figure French Military Group
This is what I believe to be an extremely rare miniature hand painted porcelain Victorian fairing from the mid to late 1800s. I have looked in my fairing collector's books and cannot find this model. It is extremely well detailed for a fairing and depicts a soldier sitting across the table from a couple with a dog at his feet. There appears to only be some wear to the gold gilt. No breaks or repairs. It is European and the caption as well. I believe the last word is"Attack" however I cannot make out the first word, if someone knows, please let me know. It is very small scale measuring just under 2 1/2 inches high by 2 5/8 inches wide by 2 3/8 inches deep. Rare Antique Volkstedt German Dresden Lace Porcelain Victorian Style Figurine
Absolutely gorgeous MINT CONDITION Volkstedt figurine of a Victorian attired mother and her child on a garden bench with a garland of flowers. I bought this piece about 5 years ago at an estate sale. I've been collecting Dresden figurines for longer than that and I've never seen this piece offered for sale on Ebay so you know it is rare. Their faces are beautifully executed and the floral garland is exquisite. There are only a few very minor flea bites of missing lace on the bottom most layer of ruffles on the back of the child's dress. The piece measures approximately 5 3/4" tall. 5 1/2" wide, 4 1/2" deep and is quite heavy at 1 lb 10 oz. Rare 18th c Hoechst figurine Description: This is an exquisite and very rare German Hoechst figurine dating back to the around 1770. The little girl is holding with both hands a milk jug decorated with blue flowers. She is barefooted standing on a grassy base. And furthermore amazingly well modelled and decorated looking at the the blue flowers on her skirt. Pay attention to the milk jar. As it doesn't have a handle which purposely was intended by the artist. On the bottom is the famous Hoechst blue wheel mark and also there are artist inscribed marks. This is a beautifully detailed porcelain figural group of a boy standing next to a little dog house either directing the cat to go in or leave. I am not quite sure but it is a fabulous piece! The condition is excellent.I see no chips, breaks, or restorations at all. Heavy weighted piece with a flat base and the blue underglaze beehive marking to the back base. Delicate and fine pair of porcelain figurines hand marked" R 1762 Made in Germany"Condition is excellent. Especially considering the age of the piece. The figurines both has gold painted embellishments at the bottom and are hand painted. There are very small minor handling marks on the bottom of this piece, but so minor that nothing to detract from its value. The detail on the figurines is astonishing. The measurements are 4 1/4 inches across the base, The height is 5 1/8 inches from the base to the top of the boy's head.

Meissen Antique Apple Harvest Tree Group Figurine Fine German Porcelain Rare OLD
Beautiful Apple Harvest Meissen group figurine. Marked with the blue crossed swords on the bottom. Also the painted#16 and incised# 1998. Some repairs on this piece. The goblet is repaired or is a replacement item. In the front boys hand. The lower portion of his leg also shows being repaired under close magnification. There are multiple leaf nicks including on the apples in the boys hat at the bottom area. There are numerous repairs and re-painting to the leaves in the tree. They look professionally done in my opinion. Not obviously repaired unless you inspect with close magnification. No major structural repairs. Nobody has lost a head. All fingers and toes look good, no issues with the base, trunk or ladder. I have looked at this under a black light and do not detect anything other than what I have mentioned above. A superb. And extremely rare, antique Rosenthal fine Bavarian porcelain Biedermeierdame figurine on triple-tiered plinth, designed by Constantin Holzer-Defanti, and expertly hand-painted overglaze(much better than my photos show) about 7 ins. 18 cm) H x 3-1/2 ins. 9 cm) W. Marks: Impressed"C.Holzer-Defanti" 7" and"V" Printed Rosenthal Bavaria backstamp for the year 1926. This exquisite piece is meticulously hand-painted in overglaze enamels and gilt. Colors are vivid yet mellow. Appropriate to the subject, and in excellent taste as befits this fine art work. The skirt is colored a rich off-white with the most subtle pale pinkish glints suggesting the sheen of the satin-silk dress. The collar and front of the lady's jacket are edged in a long row of miniscule white raised enamel jewels and a scroll work, also raised, ... morerepresenting lace. Both sides of the lady's fan are detailed in a tiny leafy floral pattern. Gold is used sparingly in the finest way for edges and the lady's hanging belt. In all, the delicate hand work on this piece is truly magnificent and certainly exceptional. Austrian artist and sculptor Constantin Holzer-Defanti(1881 Vienna- 1951 Linz) became noted principally for his remarkable figurines. Such as this Biedermeierdame. He designed models for Rosenthal from 1918 to 1927. All his works are greatly sought and command high prices. The Biedermeierdame is especially rare. Among worldwide auction records. I found only one with overglaze decoration. It sold in December 2006 in Germany for 800 euros(then about $1,200) plus buyer's primium. Indeed a treasure.
