Pair Genuine Victorian STAFFORDSHIRE Figures Figurines Highlanders Hunter Piper
This auction is for a fine pair of genuine Victorian Staffordshire figures. They are made from glazed white pottery with traces of gilt highlighting and depict a Highland piper and hunter. Both figures are dressed in green and wear kilts. The hunter is shown resting against his gun with his dog at his side. He has a feather in his hat and a cape over one shoulder. The piper is wearing a sporran and is holding bagpipes. The figures stand 15' high and measure 8' from side to side and 3 and 3/4' from front to back. Both are in very good condition given their age(and the fact that we brought them back from England in hand luggage! with no chips. Cracks or flakes. The paintwork remains good. Vintage pair of porcelain victorian lady lamp figurines made in Germany
This is a very old pair of beautiful porcelain lamps made in Germany from the early 1900's. They are both numbered 14702, there is a makers mark on the side but I am not able to find much info but believe it might be Dornheim Kock Fischer. They are 9 1/2" high overall and the figurine it's self is 6 1/2" high, 4" wide, and 3 1/2" deep. These lamps both have the original cloth covered cords that they first came with and will have to be replaced if you intend to use them. There is no chips cracks or scratches on these wonderful pieces. They would be great in a girls room or up in a lit shelf and proudly displayed. Insurance will be included with shipping. Up for consideration is an old pair of Conta and Boehme fairings. We are first thought them to be match holders/strikers. But there just isn't any area coarse enough to get enough friction to light a match. The each measure about 3 3/4" and are marked on the bottom with the shield/arm mark, and some numbers. One has small loss in that her scoop is gone, and the other has a small loss to her bow on her back. Add a small nick to the base on one of them, and they are otherwise terrific, with no other issues to speak of. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but these belonged to my grandmother, and after spotting them wrapped in the basement, I decided it was time to let another family enjoy them. Of superb quality, and although we are unsure of exact maker the quality indicates they it is a product of one of the more premier German makers, possibly Heubach or possibly Minton. Pair of almost Antique German( Porzellanfabrik Leube& Co) Porcelain Bisque Victorian Hunting Figurines Figural- 9 inches tall My antique expert now tells me the following: These are German figurines made at a little known porcelain factory called Porzellanfabrik Leube& Co. which was located in the small town of Reichmannsdorf about 300 kilometers east of Frankfurt. The company was founded in 1881 by Hermann Leube. The porcelain is often stamped with a red mark(a crowned monogram with the entwined letters LR(for Leube Reichmannsdorf) Although this pair is not stamped the unpainted back and the"3525" markings as well as the modeling were familiar to him. And he was certain they were Leube porcelain. He says that both figurines date to the late 1920s or 1930s.
