~ Antique German Group Figurine ~ This is a large. Beautiful German Volkstedt porcelain figural of a hunting scene. With gorgeous coloring, and fine detail, this large piece includes two men, one woman, one dog and a large dead stag on the ground. The men are both wearing tall riding boots, and each has a sheathed knife hanging from a belt around the waist. The woman holds a rifle at her side. The piece m easures a large 10" tall by 10.5" wide and is in excellent condition aside from a chip to the tip of the rifle barrel. LG ANTIQUE GERMAN PORCELAIN FIGURINES MAN & WOMAN IN BLUE & WHITE W/DRESDEN LACE
These are two gorgeous mid to late 1800's figurines of a man and woman done in blue and white with Dresden lace. They are both 13" tall and I believe the mark on the bottom of the figures is from a German factory in the 1800s. They are wonderfully ornate. Both of the figurines are wearing hats and the man is holding an ax in one hand and the woman looks to be holding a small scythe in one of her hands. In their other hand they are holding flowers. The woman is carrying a large basket of flowers and an urn also filled with flowers is beside her. The man's arm is resting on a large pitcher which sits on a cut off tree which is also done in blue and white. The only other colors are their faces. This is a wonderful Dresden figurine. A lady in a yellow dress with white ruffles at the bottom sitting in a chair. She has a fan in her right hand and a gold bow in her hair. The markings on the base are of a blue crown with an"R" in the middle of it and Germany. She stands 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide. Condition of the figurine looks amazing. The only thing I did notice was a very small chip in the porcelain base. Other than that I don't see anything chipped or cracked. More pictures upon request. I do combine shipping. There are two flaws that are not very noticeable: she has a hairline crack on the back of her neck, and the base of the piece has a chip at the back. You are bidding on a old figurine lamp. It has a man and a woman. It looks like the woman is courting the man. It has the delicate lace on it. She has a blue dress with some pink roses. He is dressed all in white. There is a lamb at their feet. It is marked on the back with what looks to be a crown and a letter F. Which from research seems to be by Franz Wittwer. There is no lamp shade and wiring should be checked before using. Very Nice Piece! It is about 10 inches tall to the tip of the bulb socket. The figurines are about 5 inches tall from the top of the base. It is about 4 1/2 inches wide at the base. There are no cracks but looks to have a small chip on the base when it was installed. Not for sure see photo. Please see photos for the lace looks like some may be missing on the bottom of the dress but cant tell for sure. The glisten of the glaze draws one’s eye toward her beautiful face. The dancing figure stands on a one and one-quarter inch round base. The base is highlighted with gold details, as are her ballerina flats. The porcelain house markings on this piece are printed in grey under the glaze. Auction is for a lovely antique pair of figurines in the Dresden Lace style. These are not marked. But are porcelain and are exceedingly detailed, especially the faces. The figurines each measure 6-1/2" tall and both the man and woman are carrying an instrument. There are two small places on her dress where the edging lace is missing(very small) and on one of the man's cuffs(again, very small) All lace is edged in gold. Man has lace at his sleeve edges and the shirt at his neck. She has lace around the bust of her dress, her sleeve edges as well as the edging at the bottom of her skirt. There are no marks on bottom of figurines. Please make sure to take a close look at all photos to determine condition and feel free to ask any questions you may have before bidding. There is one flower applied to the dress on the front and one leaf next to it. This has the blue MZ crown mark from the Volkstedt Germany factory of Muller& Co. This mark was used from 1920-1945. Also written on the bottom is"1098B" It is LARGE. Measures 8" x 13" Weighs 5 pounds. Features a lovely bride with her bridal party. The amount of work that was invested in this piece is simply incredible! Each of the girls are dressed in delightful dresses created with"Dresden lace" adorned with individually crafted flowers while the boys look simply adorable in there smart suits trimmed with lace. A wonderfully charming group. Each of the children has their own character with their wonderfully expressive faces. The piece is set upon a rococo style plinth finished with ... morerich gilding.
