Superb! Antique German Porcelain Bisque Children Figure Bust Figurine Dresden
Gorgeous pair of Victorian handpainted busts of a little girl and boy. They date late 1800s and are beautifully handpainted and modeled. Measure approximately 11 and 10 1/2 inches high by 6 inches wide. They display wonderfully however the boy's hat has been broken and reglued to a section(see photos) and the girl is excellent besides a bit of paint wear on her chin and some nibbles to the very bottom base. Marked with hand painted and impressed numbers. Beautiful pair for the collector of fine antiques! This is an excellent quality bisque bust of Robert Burns. Very. Very nice piece. Could possibly be Parian Ware. 1759-1796 Scottish poet& lyricist, regarded as the national poet of scotland. I don't know anything about the piece. It belonged to my mother& has been boxed away for over 40 years& before that it belonged to my uncle who was an antique collector.The condition is perfect, no chips or cracks, 8" high, 4 3/4' across shoulders. This is an extremely rare Art Nouveau Bust from Royal Dux(Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur AG Bohemia) It is mold# 449 and dates to 1900 or earlier. This particular bust(449) and its companion bust(448) also listed are very high Art Nouveau and true to the period and style. Whereas, the ones typically called Art Nouveau are much more"High Victorian" to me(My Opinion) with the very high flaring pierced collars and elaborate headdresses, etc. I have collected Art Nouveau porcelain for over 30 years. It is much more than just an interest to me. I am passionate as can be about the figures and the medium of porcelain bisque. I have never seen this piece in any book, or mentioned/described without pictures. Replica of Limoges Bust of Young Girl and Boy in Bisque
Other than the original Limoges busts. These are the only busts I could find on line like these. These are very good replicas, measuring 10" tall, the boy is numbered(on the bottom) 6113 and the girl is numbered 8113(the numbers are imprinted into the lip of the bottom in red ink. We could find no damage. They look like they are bisque for the bust and porcelain stands. Very nice, unique is size and quality.

Vintage Porcelain Bisque Reproduction Bust of Houdon's Young Boy Sculpture. There is no manufacturing marks on this lovely piece. But research did yield that this sized piece was produced in 1958 by French Sevres Porcelain Factory. I am far from an art historian but here are few of the items I found. 1958 production of the very famous bust that was done by Jean Antoine Houdon. The pre-eminent French sculptor of the 18th and early 19th centuries. The details depict a spirited young man. With tousled hair and an unbuttoned shirt. It rests on a glossy pedastal. The bisque and porcelain pedestal have no visible cracks or chips. It has darkened with age to have a lovely patina. It measures: 8 1/4" tall. 5" wide at the shoulders. Bust will be insured and securely packaged.

This is a rare opportunity to own a work of art by renowned sculpture Edouard Lanteri titled The Duet. Edouard Lanteri was a French- born British sculptor and medalist 1848- 1917 whose Romantic French style of sculpting was seen as influential among exponents of New Sculpture. I tried to take a picture of his signature, and if you look at the picture of the claw foot you will be able to see the signature, its a little hard to see as it just did not photograph well. It is in wonderful condition, there are no hairline cracks that I can see there is something that looks like a few tiny cuts in some areas, but it looks like it was due to the firing process and,only a little wear to a part of the front of ... morethe base of this piece which is to be expected for its age. It is bisque, porcelain and really very beautiful. the dimensions are 15 1/4 inches wide x 19 inches high, the depth is 12 1/2 inches and weighs about 36 pounds. Please see all the pictures closely as the details on this piece are amazing from the expression on the two women's faces to the details on their fingers and hair, and the folds in the fabric, look at the claw feet on the bench, it is so realistic. Due to the age of this piece, it could use a cleaning in the crevices. The original of this piece was done in marble and is in London. This bisque version has come up only a few times in auction houses such as Christies and Sotheby's. There was one up for auction just like this one in the auction house Dorotheum which is one of the oldest auction houses in Europe located in Vienna with other branches throughout Europe, and the estimate for this same piece is $4800 to $8300. This is a gorgeous figural bust of a little girl or young woman. She is painted pink and she has lovely floral pattern with raised white dot like detailing of the flowers. Approximately 7 3/4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. She is in excellent condition. On the tip of her scarf where it is tied at her neck one of the points feels rough like it might be a chip but it is hard to tell because it is kind of underneath the point. So i'm not sure if it is a chip or not. But I did want to mention it for accuracy. No other chips, cracks or restorations that I can see. Excellent original condition with no chips or cracks. Is signed with the following impressed marks: Artist’s initials‘ED’ or'BD' the word‘Sevres’ and a triangle with the letter‘S’ and the date‘1 9 07. François-Raoul Larche was a French Art Nouveau sculptor best known for his numerous female figures. Both nude and draped. This particular sculpture is titled" Jesus au millieu des doctors" or"Christ amongst the doctors" From the Renaissance onwards Christ amongst the doctors has been a very popular subject with artists. The depiction here is unusal in so far as it only the head and shoulders of the adolescent Christ. Rather than the more typically depicted ... morescene at large. A fine. Large bisque porcelain bust of 18th century French writer and thinker Denis Diderot on a cobalt blue gilt socle manufactured at Sèvres in the last quarter of the 19th century. White. Bisque porcelain bust of the author of the Encyclopédie. And one of Sèvre's 19th century series of busts honoring French royalty, military and artistic heroes. Beautifully-modeled features as well as outstanding translation of cloth folds. see the detailed images above. The bust sits(and is bolted) on a clean. Solid royal blue socle with gilding along the perimeter. The bisque is incised: SEVRES and A*7*79 on the back; the socle is stamped: S.74 and Doré à Sèvres 80. Very good condition. Up for auction is a parian bust of Juliet made by the James and Thomas Bevington company in the 19th century. The sculpture stands 7.75" tall and is about 5" at its widest. The item is in great condition with no chips. Cracks or wear. There are some small dark grey dots on the base which I have pointed out in a pic; only one of which is really noticeable. This is a very cute German bisque bust half doll boy figurine. I had a few old Rudolstadt bisque figurines and this one. Not marked, looks very similar to the ones I had and one that I currently own. The outfit looks to be a pale blue with gold trim. It looks like the boy is holding a letter. The fingers on his right hand are all there, they are just curled under. Sweet looking little boy with a darling outfit. Figurine weighs 1 lb. and 12 oz. Nice for the collector. Condition: Half of the left hand middle finger is chipped off. There is a large chip to the shoulder and tiny firing flaws here and there, light surface scratches and scuffing throughout, as well as other light signs consistent with age. They have a blue base with gold trim and are in very good condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The bod does have a little fading on the gold on the front(see photo) otherwise they are perfect.
