And is blank on the reverse side. It has a slight bit of smudging in its blank margins, but is still in excellent, lovely condition, with the colors bright and sharp. Above the image it is labelled in small print“England— Plate 299. The credit line below the image reads: London. Chromolithographed& Published by Day& Son. Lithographers to the Queen. J.B. Waring, direx. The print will be accompanied by a large sheet of text related to the lithograph. Which is titled“THE QUEEN’S DESSERT-SERVICE. and describes the subject porcelain manufacturers in Worcester in detail. Saying in part: In the present case we have reproduced some of the principal pieces of the Queen’s dessert-service. Executed for her Majesty in the finest porcelain, the statuettes being excellently modelled in fictile ivory, a specialite of this firm. 1900s Royal Dux porcelain elephant with a matte green and brown glaze with gold undertones. A EARLY 20 TH CENTURY Antique and Huge Royal Dux Bohemia Figural Group in lovely condition! Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur A.G. 1897 until 1992) As the Fasold family had just died. The newly established'Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur A.G. bought the porcelain factory in Blankenhain(Thuringia) and at the same time liquidated their own factory in Šelty. The factory now started to produce porcelain. Apart from the traditional products. In 1900, the well known mark was introduced in its basic form but at least three other marks exist as you can see in the'Marks' section; around 1904 the factory employed 400 workers. The mark best known today shows a pink coloured triangle and the inscription'ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA' around an acorn(from the name Eichler. Eichel' means'acorn' For the first years(until around 1918) the acorn had ... morean'E' for'Eichler' in the middle, but it was later changed to a'D' for'Dux' whereas the'M' can be found on items produced after 1953 when the company took over the former'Porzellan- und Steinzeugfabirk Carl Spitz' owned by Dr. Adolf Fischer) in the former town of Brüx which 1945 had been renamed to Most. In the art nouveau period the company achieved a most remarkable success thanks to its modeller Alois Hampel. The factory was awarded the Grand Prix prize at the world exhibition in St. Louis in 1904. The silver medal at the exhibition in Milano in 1906 and the gold medal at the exhibition in Liberec. Some of the products introduced at that time are still produced up to this day. At that point. The company employed 500 workers and the factory had five round kilns and seventeen muffle kilns as well as its own steam and power plant. Sample store-houses and representatives in Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna, London, Amsterdam, Bologna, Paris, Stockholm and Madrid were a solid base for international trade as the products were mainly exported and the company had trade connections with all Europe, Russia, and even North America. They both have lables, and man figure has a signature"K. Lerch" see photo) They feature a Shepperd with a dog by his feet holding a cane(metal) and a peasant girl with a sheep by her feet. Antique 19th Century Porcelain Bust Kinderbust(Meissen style) This is a 19th century kinderbust. Purchased for $850 in 1998 from a reputable dealer in Southern California. Her receipt from that purchase has her labeled as"Saxony/Prussia's Daughter" She is from the same estate as the Meissen plates and figurines that we have listed also. She is absolutely lovely. With delicate skin coloring from her forehead to bodice, flushed cheeks, tiny painted hair peeking out the back of her bonnet and brown eyes. She is wearing a very detailed print gown with a turquoise sash across it. And the flowers on her chest are in excellent condition, we can find no chips on them. Her bonnet and gown. As well as the base are painted with gold. The red bow at her neck is articulated. With all four pieces coming up off of the main body of the statue. ... moreThe plume on her bonnet has broken off. But as you can see it is a clean break and the plume fits back on perfectly. See close-ups please. The interior of the plume has thick copper pieces in it. The base of the statue is slightly rough with a hole in the center. It looks as though this was originally glued( onto a larger base. For an item that is from at least the 1800's. Here is a rare find of a fantastic very early with all the right marks example of Art Nouveau Royal Dux. I have searched all over the internet for this form manufactured by Royal Dux sometime between the late 1800's and very early 1900's and for sure pre 1919 and have been unable to locate one like it. The pictures should show every detail. She is a fantastic early example the detail around her partially naked body is incredible. The fabric is absolutely flowing about her. The shell belts around her waist and legs are super detailed, and the sea foam like hair just flows around her petite and perfectly beautiful face with the finest of details. Her bare legs hang off of the rock atop which she is sitting and are also perfect with phenomenal realistic smooth legs and feet and toes. Around her is the stormy sea with lots of foam and ... morewhat appear to be barnacles as well as some flowers growing up around her.somewhat pale green vinelike foliage which turn into beautiful pink flowers and pink flower buds. These flowers add a little bit more of the pastel color which makes this statue such a pleasing combination on the almost bisque like Royal Dux figural centerpiece. Height to top = 12" Length = 12 1/2" Depth = 7 1/2" So. This beautiful statue obtained at an estate sale long ago, is coming from my personal collection and probably belongs in a more formal Royal Dux collection. Antique Rare 1938 Royal Doulton HN1866 Wedding Morn
I am not a Royal Doulton collector and don't know much about these items. A 2011 listing indicated the following:Extremely rare old Royal Doulton Bride Figurine designed by Leslie Harradine. Nearly impossible to find for sale. Wedding Morn" number HN 1866. My favorite details of this piece are the crown hairpiece from which the veil gracefully flows into a lovely sweep at her feet; the beautiful bouquet of lilies sculpted and painted in rich detail; the timeless pearls and sleek wedding dress with lace neckline. She has a beautifully painted face and auburn hair. Approx. 10.5 inches tall. The few references to this piece online are: Whitley Collection $4.200.00(no longer available) The Royal Doulton Repository which estimated the market value at $5,000 HN1866. Whilst researching the book Doulton Figures as a Reflection of Time, Doug Pinchen came across a photograph of the Princess and spotted the resemblance. The magnificent robes worn for Royal Weddings have greatly influenced bridal fashions. The exquisite silk bridal gown designed for the Princess of Wales by the Emanuels created a romantic fairytale vision and brought back into fashion a soft ivory shade. PLEASE NOTE: This piece is damaged. She is missing a flower from her bouquet. It is in the very front and would have attached to her lower breast. You can see this in the attached pictures. There is no other damage, chips or cracks.The bottom of the figure is marked with the Royal Doulton stamp and is marked with a 12. The name of the figure"Wedding Morn" The RdNo.827903. And the number HN1866. Printed 1202 on both bases with other potter's numbers. These were made into lamps in the 60's and I have removed those fixtures from the base. You are bidding on a fabulous pair of Hadley Royal Worcester Figurines done as a man and woman fisherman. Each one in excellent condition, I can find no chips, no cracks, no repairs, the man measures a little over 18 inches tall and the woman is a little over 17 inches tall, absolutely stunning. Hadley worked for Royal Worcester and passed away in 1903, these are well over 100 years old and estate fresh. AN EARLY 20 TH CENTURY Antique Royal Dux Bohemia Figurine of a Dutch Boy with Basket in lovely condition! The newly established'Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur A.G. bought the porcelain factory in Blankenhain(Thuringia) and at the same time liquidated their own factory in Šelty. I did some research online but I couldn't find this particular figurine but did come across this information: In 1900 the company first used the pink triangle mark with distinguished its product today- a rose coloured triangle made from pink porcelain with the inscription"Royal Dux Bohemia" around an acorn. Beneath this acorn is the letter"E" which stands for Elchler. Records show that this logo was trade marked in 1912 and continued to be used until the end of the 1940's when the"E" was replaced with a"D" 1860-World War I: The letter"E" appears in the center of the triangle beneath the acorn. As you can see by the photos it has this marking. Measurements can be seen in the photos. I did very little cleaning to the piece so you will need to clean it up from age ... moreand storage. Antique Staffordshire Figurine, Girl Riding Goat, Princess Royal
Up for auction is an antique Staffordshire figure of a girl riding a goat. Probably Queen Victoria's daughter the Princess Royal. It measures 5" tall and 4.5" from the goat's nose to its tail. There is the expected crazing for an object of its age, c. 1850. It appears that a piece of the girl's hat was broken and repaired. I have included two pics of the repair. It is almost impossible to see from the front. Other than that there are no visible chips, cracks, rubbing or gilt losses.

Offered for sale here is this Sitzendorf woman holding grapes. This figurine is 6 inches tall and in excellent condition. There are no chips. No cracks, and no repairs. Please look closer at pictures. The Sitzendorf marks on the bottom are the earliest marks of this fine porcelain. Here is a little history on Sitzendorf Porcelain. The history of the town and people of Sitzendorf Germany goes back a long way and the history of Sitzendorf porcelain is just as long. A theology student called Georg Heinrich Macheleidt received permission from the regional prince in Germany to set up a porcelain manufacturing company in the small town of Sitzendorf. In 1760. The first porcelain factory was established. It was moved to Volkstedt in 1762. The actual manufacturer of figurines began in the town of Sitzendorf in 1884 though the factory began working ... morewith porcelain in 1850. By 1809, the company had a second factory and had introduced steam power that helped them employ a total of 300 employees in two factories in a town with a population of 700. The factory remains in operation into the present day. Sitzendorf porcelain is identified and valued by its year of manufacture. The year and the stamping on the porcelain indicate under which of the owner managers the piece was produced. Everything from the Macheleidt period would obviously be the most valuable(determined of course by condition) There are several distinct periods in the management history of the factory. The porcelain manufacture was reestablished in Sitzendorf in 1850 by Wilhelm Liebmann who held control over the establishment until a fire in 1858 gutted the factory building and led him to retire. The factory was rebuilt and reopened under the Voigt brothers management. Alfred and Carl ran things until 1896 when Albert Schonau ran the company as a public corporation with stock valued at a million German marks.
