~ Antique Sevres Urns ~ This is an early pair of French Sevres parian bisque covered urns decorated with figures of putti holding up swags of roses. A beautiful pair. They are large, each measuring 15 1/2" tall to the top of the lid finials. There are some old repairs. A few tiny nicks to flower petals and base rim, and one of the urns has a crack on the side as shown in the photos, however these pieces are heavy and sturdy and this does not affect the stability. French Bisque Singing Goddess With Lyre C. 1830 A Beautiful Antique French Museum Piece. Of the Highest Quality Workmanship. Her gilded lyre has metal strings; she glances heavenward as she sings. There is an amphora at her feet. Surpassingly lovely. This is the first time I've seen teeth. Top and bottom, painted on a bisque piece- beautifully done The gorgeous gilding and enamel beading is in excellent condition. One of the really wonderful things about this piece is the expertly constructed lyre with its metal strings; they actually pass through the porcelain neck of the lyre and are then secured with metal beads which are meant to simulate the tuning pins. How neat is that? I've added lots o f pictures so you can take a close look- the lyre really is a thing of beauty. You can almost hear the music playing. Pair of Antique French Bisque Porcelain Figurines This listing is for a wonderful pair of antique french bisque porcelain figurines that relate beautifully to each other. They were purchased in 1976 at Le Pappillon. One of Dallas' finest antique shops, which was owned by the late Bertha Louise Ahlchlager. She was known for her exquisite taste and made numourous buying trips to France where she would acquire the finest antique pieces. This large stunning pair of figurines is a beautiful representation of young romance. Both are dressed in detailed 18th century costumes that have been jeweled with raised dots of porcelain. The pair has been extensively hand painted and both have gilt accents applied. The female figure wears a white jeweled chemise. Her pale green and white stripe corset has gilt lacings and is edged with white ruffles. ... moreThe gown is brocaded with blue, pink, and green flowers and edged with white lace that has been jeweled. She holds a gilt edged fan in her hand. Her head is covered in a pale blue marmotte and her blond hair has gilt ribbons. Her feet are adorned in blushing pink slippers with pale blue bows. The male figure is dressed in a white jeweled ruffled shirt, a waistecoat brocaded with flowers and gilt buttons. He wears pale green and white pinstripe brocaded britches, white jeweled stockings, and pale green shoes with white and gilt buckles. He is draped in a white cape with pale yellow lining. Gilt is applied to the edges of the cape. He wears a pale blue beret on his head which was usually worn only by french nobility in the 18th century. Both figures stand approximately 14" tall with bases measuring approximately 6" in diameter. The bases are adorned with handpainted flowers and gilt edges. There is a small vent hole in the base of each figurine. There is another small vent hole in the folds of the cape of the male figure but is barely noticeable. This is an absolutely beautiful bisque porcelain statue by Vion& Baury. She stands 16 1/2" tall. The base measures 5 1/2" across. This is a very heavy piece weighing almost 6 pounds. The attention to detail and quality is amazing! She is in excellent condition with only a few minor flaws. There are a couple of chips at the base and one of her hands looks as if it has been repaired. There are some minor imperfections due to age and wear. Please see photos. Possibly French or German Made. This fine figurine dates from the early part of the 20th c. around the 1920's time period. There are impressed mold numbers 301 located near the back side of the base as pictured. Determined facial expression, biting the small cigar stub(The tip end of the stub has faded a bit, but it is intact. Decorated cobalt blue and gold throughout, the bow is quite a nice touch. Look at the interior and exterior rim edge of his hat, how sweet! There is a chip to his left lapel that measures about.5' as pictured. Also a small hole in the other lapel. Estate Find. Up for auction is this Antique 12" Bisque Girl Figurine which is marked on bottom. Appears to be inscribed with the numbers 466 and a painted#10 on inside edge. Not sure if figurine is French or German as I didn't research it. Bisque is very heavy and has no cracks or hairlines. Only has a little roughness on bottom edge which could be a mold inperfection. Bisque has some stains throughout which I didn't try cleaning. I will leave that up to you. Gold trim on bottom of skirt has some fading. Weight is about 1 pound and 11 ounces. Beautiful, soft colors with little gold painted buttons. He has a basket on his arm and a larger one on his back.these are ideal to use as holders for dried flowers or other ornamental objects. Condition: There is some damage to the porcelain's finish on the right side of his face. On his arm, and on the top of the basket on his back-this looks a little like crazing. This is a beautiful pair of 16" tall antique Continental and most likely French figurines of a well dressed couple from the late 19th century. Quality and detail is exquisite. Very lifelike expressions on faces and raised intricate beading and decoration details throughout their elaborate dress from head to toe. Not being able to locate a mark at all would date them to earlier than 1892. They do resemble the work of VION& BAURY of Paris especially with the detail on the bases with the very sharp maroon design of C scrolls. This Auction is for a LARGE& Wonderful pair of Antique French Porcelain Bust Figurines. The figurines. Which measure approximately 13 inches for the Lady and 11 1/2 inches for the Gentleman. Are in VERY GOOD condition with no cracks or repairs that I can see; however. There is one small chip to the hair of the Lady figurine- it is located in such a manner that I did not see it until drying the figurines after a wash- you may notice that it is not visible from a frontal view, plus there is a small chip to the back, on the bottom, of the base of the Gentleman figurine, as well there are a number of small firing cracks from the time of making. Both of the Busts are marked with an impressed"M&F" inside of a cartouche or crest which. Rare Antique French Bisque Porcelain Statue Bust Figurine The Duet Signed
This is a rare opportunity to own a work of art by renowned sculpture Edouard Lanteri titled The Duet. Edouard Lanteri was a French- born British sculptor and medalist 1848- 1917 whose Romantic French style of sculpting was seen as influential among exponents of New Sculpture. Feel free to Google him if you would like to learn more about him. This 19th century sculpture is signed ED. LANTERI and was made in France. I tried to take a picture of his signature, and if you look at the picture of the claw foot you will be able to see the signature, its a little hard to see as it just did not photograph well. It is in wonderful condition, there are no hairline cracks that I can see there is something that looks like a few tiny cuts in some areas, but it looks like it was due to the firing process and,only a little wear to a part of the front of ... morethe base of this piece which is to be expected for its age. It is bisque, porcelain and really very beautiful. the dimensions are 15 1/4 inches wide x 19 inches high, the depth is 12 1/2 inches and weighs about 36 pounds. Please see all the pictures closely as the details on this piece are amazing from the expression on the two women's faces to the details on their fingers and hair, and the folds in the fabric, look at the claw feet on the bench, it is so realistic. Due to the age of this piece, it could use a cleaning in the crevices. The original of this piece was done in marble and is in London. This bisque version has come up only a few times in auction houses such as Christies and Sotheby's. There was one up for auction just like this one in the auction house Dorotheum which is one of the oldest auction houses in Europe located in Vienna with other branches throughout Europe, and the estimate for this same piece is $4800 to $8300. Beautiful Antique French Bisque Porcelain young boy and girl couple.circa 1870. Both are in excellent condition especially for their age ~ 144 years old ~ Amazing! They both could use a good cleaning but we will leave that up to the new owner. There are no chips. No cracks, no repairs. The boy stands 11 1/2" tall, 3 1/2" across base and 3 1/2" deep; the girl stands 10 1/2" tall, 3 1/2" across base and also 3 1/2" deep. The colors on both figurines are very nice pastel greens, blues, pink, yellow, and peach. It looks like they are standing or leaning against a cobbled rock wall. They are a matched pair but we noticed that the bottoms are different but we don't know why? There is a red marking on the inside bottom of the boy that looks like a fish. The girl has something written inside that looks like either"BXW" ... moreor"BAW" with the word"pair" We don't know if that is original to the piece or if it was written by a previous owner. VERY RARE FINELY DETAILED LARGE VICTORIAN COUPLE STATUE FIGURINES/ RENAISSANCE/ PORCELAIN This stunningly large and detailed pair of figurines measures just about 22 inches tall by 7 inches at the base. Gorgeous coloring throughout each piece and very finely detailed. Colors are still very nice! Each appears to be individually hand painted. No maker's marks or markings that I could find on either piece. These great statues came from my great aunt's home and she had them well over 50+ years. Statues are from the late 1800s to early 1900s The woman figure has a beautiful shy and sweet facial expression as she looks at her suitor. She also has gold gilt paint accents throughout as well as meticulously detailed flowers on her dress. Some of the details are raised designs. Antique French Soldier Doll Bisque Figure Tobacco Box Humidor Figurine dresden
This is a fabulous and rare fine hand painted figural tobacco jar of a French soldier. I believe he is a Bohemian made piece. The quality is very fine and the colors are exceptional. He displays wonderfully however has some chips. There are three chips to the back of his arm on his blue jacket, very shallow, and one of end of pony tail, end of collar corner, a few to back of arm on that sleeve and one on the rim under the lid. Even though there are several chips, he displays wonderful and you don't really notice the chips at all. A nice large and heavy weighted piece, he measures 9 1/2 inches high by 5 1/2 inches wide and is marked on the bottom with impressed letters and numbers. They have characteristics of both German and French Busts. It is rare to find both of them still together all of these years. The two are truly magnificent and beautiful young maidens. Both are mounted on fancy cobalt blue Doric columns trimmed with gold accents. Molded of bisque or unglazed porcelain. Molded separately and fastened together with a bolt. The workmanship is remarkable. The detail of the cloth is precise with raised dots. The hair also so sharply defined. Both are dressed ... morein a floral print low cut dresses. One is holding a bid. The other a sealed envelope. Both are wearing hats, one a pink hat with a feather, the other a blue ruffled hat with a red ribbon. They are very old. And these two beauties are not without flaws. The girl with the bird: The hand holding the bird has repairs as well as the base. On her proper right side one of her curls has a repair. The girl holding the envelope: Her face has a very faint surface hairline as shown in the photos. Not readily visible unless closely examining. the feather on her hat has some gilding that looks like it was applied to cover the break. Also as chip at the back brim of the hat as shown in photo above. Both of the busts are in two pieces. Bust and base, and are slightly loose. They can be taken apart. I have looked for a signature, but could find none. They are expertly hand painted and extremely well sculpted. The stunning detail of these works is so perfectly executed. The style of the work is similar to Carrier, Levy, and Deboy, and the German artist Muller. This is a beautiful rare to find early porcelain French bisque figure of two sweet cherubs hugging on the end of a pretty blue shoe. It was created mid 1800s by the Vion& Baury factory of France. You usually see this model made by other companies in a larger size and not quite as finely detailed as this one. It measures 4 x 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches and displays beautifully. Just two small shallow chips to one side of the ruffle, hard to notice on display due to the white ruffles. Being offered is a Superb Antique Bisque Porcelain"Courting Couples" Garniture Set. The pieces are most likely French or possibly German and date from the Late 19th C. Early 20th C. I would have to lean toward French though because they are made in the Chelsea or Vion& Baury style. I have looked everywhere but was unable to identify the mark seen in picture(11) which is clearly visible on all three pieces. The larger piece also has the embossed number 1794 on the bottom. The urn is blush yellow& white in color with gold floral accents beautified with scrollwork& openwork. It features a courting couple dancing. Each is dressed in Victorian garb adorned with heavy gold floral accents& trim. The figurines also depict a courting couple dressed in Victorian attire embellished with heavy gold floral accents& trim, ... morethe bases are blush yellow with gold accents. All of these pieces have been checked with a black light and there are no restorations. The urn is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no chips or cracks showing no signs of wear or loss of gold except for a tiny flake off the tip of one finger found on the lady. There is also a firing line on the urn itself just behind the gentlemen which I believe is from the factory process it is smooth and cannot be felt by a thumbnail(see picture 12) Both of the figurines are in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no chips or cracks showing no signs of wear or loss of gold, there is one tiny dimple in the firing from the factory process found on the base of the women. The urn stands 15 1/4" tall, the base 9 3/8" x 7 5/8" in diameter. The figurines stand 9" tall.

Pair Vion et Baury Antique French Bisque/Porcelain Statues/Figurines 20" Marked
Up for auction is this pair of 1870's French bisque statues of a man and woman by Vion and Baury. They are twenty inches tall and eight inches wide each. Each figure weighs approximately 10 pounds. The pair are in excellent condition with no chips. Fleabites, cracks etc. The exception to this is the male figures left hand which is joined to the wrist by an old repair in the form of an inner peg. There is no loss of bisque and the hand was glued securely to the wrist but has become separated. When glued there will be little appearance of any damage. The colors of these figures are astounding! The turquoise. Pink, light blue and teal are remarkably brilliant and true. They seem to be in wedding clothing and it appears that she is weeping. Tied under her chin. Her face is adorable, and her features are very well modeled, so realistic! She is in excellent condition aside from a tiny nick on the side of her scarf, and a few tiny original firing lines from the making of the piece. Pair of Antique French Bisque Porcelain Figurines Vion and Baury Style
Pair of handpainted Vion and Baury style figurines with gold gilt trim in elaborate dress. Both present well despite the following condition issues: Woman's right index finger broken as well as the item she is holding. Very small chip under rim at base(see pics) Man's right hand index finger and thumb broken, some gilt wear on jacket buttons and cuffs, small chip under rim of base(see pics) Chips at base can only be seen when statues are turned upside down. Both are marked on bottom: LP inside blue oval pad and printed 8 symbol(see pics) Man measures approximately 15 1/2" and woman approximately 15" tall.

Pair of Antique Large Hand Painted French Bisque Porcelain Figurines
Large 15" antique bisque handpainted figurines. Heavy well molded pieces in the style of Vion and Baury. Nicely detailed faces. Figurines appear to be dressed in Empire style. Woman has decorative head dress. Gold earrings, and she is holding a folded fan. She is in good condition, no chips or breaks. Man holding a rose and carrying his hat tucked under his left arm, has some issues: damage to both hands which appear to have been professionally repaired, broken stick in left hand and black dot under cuff, broken right shoe which was repaired. All repairs appear to be old. They do not detract from the item(see pics) Statues are unmarked.

Stunning 20' tall.10' wide and 8' deep,very heavy and complete.very detailed painting and features.stands firmly and sturdy. Rare to have the lady and Gentleman together in one piece.And in such beautiful condition. We have looked very carefully and did not see any breaks. Cracks, or restoration.just 2 small brown marks,approx 1/4' x 1/4' on the right side of her waistcoat. 1850-1899. Very rare piece,have owned for over 40 years,my best piece, non-smoker,kept away from sunlight, safely at the top of my large cabinet, Jean Gille Vion and Charles Baury are the founders of the rue De paradis Poissonniere factory started in 1845. Antique French VION BAURY Bisque Porcelain Victorian Lady Gown Figurine dresden
This is an early French bisque statue of a beautiful woman in the garden with a swallow. It was created by the Vion& Baury factory of France circa 1860-70. She is a large and heavy weighted piece at 21 inches to the top of her extended arm. The detailing is exquisite and she has a beautiful realistically painted face. She displays very well however has suffered a broken finger. The swallow was repaired and I think part of that finger on the hand holding the swallow. I also believe there were three birds at one time on her dress that are now missing. The tiara in her hair has some wear. Pair Antique French Vion & Baury Bisque/Porcelain Figurines 15 inch Anchor Mark
Check out my! This is an outstanding pair of Vion and Baury figurines. Photos 8 and 9 show the green anchor mark. The figurines are just a shade over 15 inches. They are in excellent condition. Photos 7 and 10 show what appear to be some type of stress mark on the male. Possibly stress cracks. Those are the only 2 flaws I can see. Everything else including the fingers are perfect. Note the bunny in his hunt sack on his lower right side. The female is at the water trough filling a jug. She has a bouqate of flowers at her right side and filling the jug for the flowers in her right hand. Everything on her is perfect. I have posted 12 photos which is the max for ebay. I can take specific pictures if you like and send them to you via email if you like. Just let me know. We bought these at an estate auction for resale but in the meantime we love ... morethem on our mantel.
