Size of the sugar: 4.5" to the top of the figural finial and 5" wide at the widest point. The creamer is 4" tall by 5" wide from spout to handle. Condition shows tiny flakes/chips along top of lid and along the interior lid rim. Other very small imperfections. Antique PARIAN BUST Capt. MATTHEW WEBB Swimmer English Channel Sculpture Figure This is a wonderful antique parian sculpture of the bust of Captain Matthew Webb. Know for being the first person to have swum the English Channel in August of 1875. From Dover to Calais, a distance of 40 miles in 21 hours and 45 minutes. Excellent quality and detailing. The back reads" Swan from Dover to Calais Capt n Webb Time 21 3/4 Hours" This bust shows him wearing two me dals. The first being the Royal Humane Society Stanhope Medal( the first recipient) for his attempted rescue of a seaman from the Atlantic Ocean and the second. The Liverpool Humane Society Medal. He was later awarded the newly designed Stanhope medal which is not shown on this bust. I have searched online and only found one other Parian bust of Captain Webb which sold at Bonhams ... moreauction house. It was a pedestal bust and he is shown with the three medals so I believe this to be possibly an earlier piece. Description: This auction is for an unmarked antique porcelain figurine. Of a male black& white goat, modeled standing in grass. Possibly English Rockingham or Staffordshire, circa 1830, as it came out of the same estate, with an identified Rockingham cat. The figurine measures approximately 2 1/2 inches tall, 2 inches by 6/8 inches wide. It weighs approximately 1.4 oz. The figurine has ISSUES& is in a condition with damages; no repairs. But there are four chips along the base(with the largest being near his front right leg) there is some wear& loss of paint on his left side. The bottom of the base is unmarked& uneven, but it stands evenly. It has a smooth& glossy look under the loupe, I do not see any crazing. He looks a bit like a Georgian doctor as he is wearing an 1830's Cutaway Coat and top hat. The figure measures 6 1/2" in height and is 5 1/2" long. The base measures 5" long by 2" wide. The figure is in EXCELLENT CONDITION and has been well looked after. NO damage. Just age crazing appropriate with antique ceramics. No maker's mark. NOTE: At this time. It is from WW2 and very good white porcelain. Lovely scrolling design on the base. German WWII items were destroyed at a great scale after the war by all participating countries and this eagle with this symbol in the middle dates this in this period. hard to find pieces from this time period. This amazing porcelain cat lamp is incredible. It has the signature Wemyss glass eyes of the early 20th century ware. I have seen similar cats sell over the past few years at fine auction houses. But cannot find any cat lamps. This one appears to be factory original, but I cannot be sure as I cannot find any reference to one having been made. It could have been a custom order from the factory or drilled and converted post factory. The hardware and fabric wrapped cord is consistent with the period of manufacture. Pair of Antique English Staffordshire Men on Horseback Figurines
Up for bid is a very nice pair of Staffordshire figures on horseback. These are 11 1/2" tall and 8 1/2" wide. They were still in England two weeks ago. Both figures are original old pieces in excellent condition. They show some normal age wear to various spots of color trim but are completely damage free. These are what is in slang terms called"Flatbacks" and are rather thin for fitting on a fireplace mantel. There bases are about 3" front to back and the figures about 2 1/2" These are exceptional pieces that are certain to please the new owner. U.S. Buyers. Only!

Charming Antique English Porcelain Parian Bust of a Boy in Hat As-is
This lovely English Porcelain Parian Figurine measures about 7.25" in height. It is broken and glued back together as pictured. This is how it was found and how it is being sold. The break is very clean the most noticeable spot is on his cheek and it is very mild. He show very well. I believe he would have been made by one of the finer manufacturers in England of the period such as Copeland or Mintons. He is not marked.

This fine pair of English pottery Staffordshire King Charles Disraeli Spaniels are crisp in their molding and have wonderful expressions. They are in mint condition- c1850. While English pottery figural groups; single figures and animals were made during the later part of the 18th Century. Animals however. Really came into vogue during the reign of Queen Victoria(1837-1901) These"comforters" as they were called were an integral part of the Victorian English household. Dogs, particularly King Charles Spaniels, were especially popular. Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli who served Queen Victoria as Prime Minister. Was a great dandy and paid special attention to his hair, always sporting a carefully groomed central forehead curl. Consequently, the affectionate name, Disraeli" has endeared itself to the model of Spaniels that have ... morecurly hair on their forehead. Staffordshire figures and animals were made by many different potters and factories and were rarely signed. They were potted from simple two-piece press moulds. Once dry. The moulds were placed together and thin rolls of clay were inserted to seal the seams inside. The next step was to make a small hole, usually on the base, so that air was able to escape during the firing process. After the first firing, the figures were painted with underglaze colors and then dipped into a liquid glaze and refired. Once this process was completed, the figures were then painted with enamel, overglaze, colors and any gilding required and then fired a final time. Due to the deposits of clay left in the moulds, the average mould's life would not last for more than 100 figures without severe loss of quality. This is one way to tell the age of the figure, the cleaner and crisper, the earlier it was produced in the mold's life. The more often the mold was used, the less the quality of the figure produced.
