Up for bid is an Antique(19th Century) Staffordshire Gentleman Standing with Dog Figurine. The Figurine has a few very minor paint rubs. Attributed to age, however it is free of cracks, stains, fleabites, crazing and repairs and it measures approximately 5.5" H. The Figurine is a wonderful Staffordshire piece and one that you would be proud to add to your collection. Antique 19th Century MEISSEN- Je les Ramene" Porcelain Cupid Motto Figure Figurine Antique German Meissen“Je les Ramene” cupid motto figure. The heavy porcelain figurine of a cupid or putto is surrounded by and holding flowers with a quiver full of arrows. The fine hand-painted porcelain figurine has a raised oval plaque on the front with the French words“Je les Ramene” written in script. The figure is signed on the underside with the blue under-glaze crossed swords Meissen mark. The number 11 in red glaze and an impressed“F12” and“48” The Meissen figure has tiny chips to a few of the flowers and an approximate ½” crack on the pedestal that is holding flowers. The original garland that the cupid is holding is broken in several parts and only two pieces of it remain as seen in the photos below. Dancing feminine angel candlestick description. Beautifully hand painted with gold. Green, pink, purple, and yellow colors. Colors still vibrant on this unique flowered vined tree. 90% of the gold paint is still present! Many of the flowers have chips. 5 petals missing from under the cups. Center cup is cracked. So much detail still in place. You can see the exquisite detail and coloring of the angels hands, her hair, the red coloring in her lips. So much detail in the flowers and trees. It's gorgeous. A masterpiece. Candlestick number two, violin angel boy description. Also beautifully hand painted with gold, green, pink, yellow, brown, and black colors. Colors are vibrant with this one also containing 90% of the gold! Many flowers are chipped with 1petal missing underneath the center cup. All cups are perfect. Boy missing arm and violin ... morebow. So much detail still present, so much coloring in the boys face, on the vined tree.the flowers are gorgeous. There are so many flowers! More than most pieces! This listing features a delightful OLD bisque match holder. The paper you see in front of it is a note that was stuck inside that reads"match holder out of an old estate over 100 years old" I bought the match holder at an estate sale. Who was the author of the note(and she was old when she passed away, so, the piece is from the late 1800's) It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The basket has raised weave so it acts as a striker also. It stands 5 1/2" tall. On the bottom is an old piece of tape with some partial letters on it. As far as I know it is not marked as to maker. 19th Century Antique Matching Numbered Pair Staffordshire Porcelain Spaniel Dogs
Here is a perfectly wonderful old numbered and trade marked matching pair of Staffordshire Spaniels that date back to the late 1800's. The British royalty loved their Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and they became a revered subject for the porcelain pottery makers of 19th Century England. The pair came down with my Great-Grandparents to Bartow. Florida in 1910 and have been in the family since. I only say this because it probably makes them a"one owner" provenance. The mark on the base is that of"Old Staffordshire Ware England" And both pieces are numbered but only one still legibly. They appear to be numbered 43 and 17 and of course, the numbers are under the original glaze. In 1892 Parliament decreed that English pottery must say"England" on the bottom. Twenty years later the mark had to read"Made ... morein England" The Spaniels stand 5 1/2" high and the base is four inches long by 2 3/4" at the widest part. The pair is in absolutely perfect condition. With no cracking, chipping or crazing whatsoever. I photographed them in sunlight and with flash to try and bring out the lovely rose gold paint under the glaze. The locket and collar are probably 24 carat solid gold paint. I will want to send these insured for at least the value of the winning bid. If you would like. I can insure them for the appraised value of five hundred U.S.D. Antique Chelsea Samson SPOTTED CAT- 19th Century - Marked Germany w /Gold Anchor
Offered for sale is a delightful little miniature figurine marked Chelsea Samson. This exquisite piece carries the gold anchor mark on the top of the base at the rear. The gold anchor mark is between the darling yellow and black spotted cat's tail and the top of the green plinth it is seated on. It measures approximately 2. 1/2" tall with a 2" x 1 1/4" oval base. This piece was made in and marked in gold GERMANY on the underside. The gold anchor mark was typically used by the Chelsea factory in England in the 18th Century. Edme Samson and his son. Emile, built their business by making copies of items from the famous factories of the day such Chelsea, Derby, Meissen and Sevres, French faience and even Chinese wares. Here is a Spectacular 19th Century Antique porcelain Capadimonte figure. Exceptional Quality. This piece has No Chips. No Cracks, No Repairs. This piece has been examined completely and there is no damage. The figurine is marked with a"Crown N" for Capadimonte. The other mark on bottom is unreadable but I took picture of it anyway. Porcelain is excellent condition for it's age, some minor paint wear, but nothing serious. Very old, Colorful, Heavy. Beautiful Antique 19th Century Sevres Bird Figurines
Awesome late 19th century to early 20th Century Sevres bird figurine. The bird are mint condition. There is no damage on it what so ever. The bird are a little bigger then 5 inches tall and the base length is about 5 1/2 inches. The quality of the piece are absolutely breathtaking. The Sevres hallmark is underneath both the bird. There is some other French writing but we are not sure what its says.

There were(and still are) several Porcelain Decorating Studios& Workshops in Germany, primarily in the Dresden/Meissen areas and to some appreciable extend in Bavaria, that engaged in decorating blanks purchased from nearby factories such as Meissen or KPM. Many of these artisans ... morealso worked at these major factories during the day so their techniques& methods were very similar, hence the quality of their items is parallel to that of the major makers. Many of these studios used distinct marks or symbols that are documented. Many of which were variations of Meissen's Crossed Swords trademark- please use our NAME SEARCH for Dresden and then Meissen to see several examples. However. Many of these studios used marks that were generic or very imaginative and if they were not prolific enough in their output, these marks were rarely documented, much less officially registered. Antique 19th Century SCHIERHOLZ? Porcelain Cherubs sitting on Porcelain Shoe
This is such a stunning piece. I have to say I have never found another one like it in many years. I purchased this several years ago for my shop. I decided to keep it since it is so stunning. I have decided again to sell it. I wanted to find who made it. The only company I can find that had this mark of Tic Tac Toe was Alt.Beck, Gottschalck who made dolls in Germany in the 1850s up. I have not been able to find where they made figurines. It is there mark and I have not discovered this mark by anyone else. If anyone knows who made this please email me. I would love to find out more. If there was every a shabby chic piece this would be it ladies. It is a darling slipper made of Porcelain sitting its heel on top of a cushion with two little cherubs. They have little wings and are sitting on the bow of the slipper. Ruffles of the shoe go all ... morearound the slipper. I have tried to show a closeup so you will see the painting of the bow and ruffle are alike. The shoe is pink. The cherubs are white. The pillow with tassels have little flowers painted on a white cushion with pink sides and tassels. This is a piece that is like no other.
