Fantastic DANISH TEAK COFFEE TABLE signed TRIOH mid century modern Eames era
Mid Century modern Danish teak coffee table by Trioh of Denmark is in fantastic condition with very little signs of wear/ use. You would be hard pressed to find an item of this vintage in better shape. These are almost always missing some of the cane work on the lower shelf. But this has 100% of the original cane work! There is one piece of cane that has detached from frame, but is all there(see photo) Also, there seems to be a small crack where the shelf connects to the frame, which has no effect on either the aesthetic or structural quality of this fine piece. Table measures 59" by 20 1/2" by 16 1/2" high. Overall, this is about as good as it gets! We have replaced our sofa/ loveseat with new oversized ones, so this table no longer fits our living room, so it will sell with NO RESERVE! Danish teak / cane coffee table by Trioh
Up for sale is a nice mid-century Danish coffee table. Made by Trioh. Sitting on top of a solid teak frame is a square teak veneer table top with solid teak bullnose edging. An original cane magazine shelf is tucked underneath. Exposed brass bolts contrast nicely with the teak finish and help express the table's construction. For a vintage piece. The table is in very good condition. The connections are solid, and the wood is in good shape, with a warm honey-colored patina that has developed nicely over the years. There are two condition issues that should be noted: 1) there is a slight rough patch on the table surface. I am not sure what caus ed this. This is a nice mid-century coffee or side table with an interesting two-tier design. The table is an unusual size measuring approximately 28.5 inches long. 17 inches across and 22.5 inches tall. I believe it is made of teak wood, it is quite heavy and substantial. The table is not marked with a manufacturer's mark, but does have the word"Special" written in the bottom in cursive handwriting. I'm assuming this means that it was a special order item. This is a true vintage item and it does show signs of age and wear, particularly to the finish. There is some wear and chipping to the finish as shown in the photos. There is also a round area on the top where there is some damage to the finish, also shown in the photos.
