Classic Hepplewhite cherry wood table by Cabinet Maker Charles Wishtart circa 1965. Seller introduction: I am not a fine furniture dealer. Simply the nephew of the American cabinet maker/ fine furniture maker Charles Wishtart. My uncle Charles accepted me as an apprentice back in the early 1970's when his health was fading. He was a great uncle and we all miss him. My cousin. His son Leonard, carried on the shop's business but now at 90 he is currently selling off the shop's inventory and tools. No need to go into long praises for my uncle's fine furniture as his reputation is well known and his old world craftmanship speaks for itself including the governor's mansion in Pennsylvania which has a Wishtart original as do museums and fine personal collections. This is an offering for a classic Hepplewhite style table by Charles ... moreWishtart. His name is branded into the wood as was his practice. This excellent item has no defects whatsoever. It has been very well cared for since my wife and I received it. As a wedding gift. In the early 1970's. It has been regularly waxed with only my Uncle's original beeswax formula polish. I still have some of it and will make it available to the buyer so that this piece can be properly cared for(Pledge spray and silicone polishes have no place on this caliber of furniture) This vintage piece is his classic solid cherry wood style and measures 28" high by 26"wide X 21.5"deep. It weighs 24 pounds. All solid wood construction. There is a custom crating fee of $85 for shipping. Full insurance is included. This piece requires a rather large crate for shipping because the legs are permanently mortised in place and the crate must surround and completely protect the entire table. This fine piece was created in the mid 1960's at the peak of my Uncle's woodworking career. It will beautify your home for many decades and can be passed on for generations to come. Offered for sale is a Beautiful Baker Furniture Company Vintage Mid-Century Pecan End Table. This table features a gorgeous parquet top with gold and white legs and apron in a Hollywood Regency style. The table dates back to the 1960's and belongs to a friend of mine whose mother bought it new in the 60's. The table measures 25" square x 21.75" high and the Baker nameplate is attached under the table top. This end table is in excellent overall condition with a few dings on the legs(see pics#6-9 for close-ups) and the top is in excellent condition as well. It was covered with glass to protect the top for most of it's life however expect a few light scratches and dings as the finish is original. Rare Mid-Century Classic Eames Molded Plywood & Laminate Table, circa 1950's
This is a classic Eames molded plywood and laminate table from the 1950’s. It measures 26” x 15” x 22 ½” tall. I consider this table in excellent used condition. It is not new or a reproduction. There are signs of usage. But very minor, please take note of the condition from the pictures. There are no cracks or breaks(just a small sliver type chip of the laminate on the short bottom edge about 1/2" x 1/4" but not noticeable because it does not go all the way through the laminate, so it is still black) the top is beautiful; you can see how the polar bear glass figurine reflects off the top. It is in original condition. No alterations. It is a classic piece of art history from the mid-century. The design is simple and would mix well with about any décor you may have. Vintage Genuine McGuire Rattan End Table and Occasional Table Set Thanks for looking at this beautiful McGuire rattan end table and occasional table set. The end table measures 21"H x 27"W x 27"L and was hand made in San Francisco in the 50s or early 60s. It has two drawers in front with unique hardware and four open spaces in the back. If you know McGuire you know the quality. If cared for this can last many more generations. It is in excellent condition especially considering its age. It has been in my family for a long time and I hate to part with either of these pieces. But times call for it. The Occasional Table- You don't see this particular one around much. This is a handmade occasional table with Formica top measuring 18H x 15R. It is in very good shape considering its age. wine tasting Wrought iron and Chestnut Wine Tasting Table Demi Lune Shape• Circa 1970( Great Rustic Look. Wonderful Half Moon Form. Would work with Spanish, Gothic or Modern Interiors. Probably made in the 1960's or 1970's. Please be sure to look at all my photos and read the annotations before bidding. Please feel free to send along any questions via email. Just the kind of table that would look great all decked out at your New Years Party! The table has a chestnut top that is an inch and a half thick. Chestnut looks a lot like Oak but is a little lighter in weight and often has a worm eaten look. The across the top it is 15-1/2 inches thick The over all dimensions of the table are 63 inches wide by 35 deep and 28 high. As you can see the table has leaves at the ends which extend it's depth by 13 inches. There is a replaced hinge ... moreon one of the leaves. This is what it looks like open. The rear front foot which you can see in this photograph is a replacement. The half moon stretcher should end with a nice wrought iron ball. One of the two of these balls is missing. Don't ask me how it got lost. I have no idea. As opposed to trying to find or make a matching ball it will be easier to find two finials you like and replace the missing ball and the one that is still there. The old finials just screw on and the threads are there so it will not be difficult to attach a new pair of finial or ends. This is what the original ball end looks like.
