He fashioned the table after the form of a military drum. The drawer comes from the English“rent” table. A rent table was a round table with seven drawers that belonged to a landlord. Renters deposited their rent in the drawer marked for the day of the week their rent was due. Often times these tables are found with just two drawers. While the rest are dummy drawers. These tables are some of the most elegant tables that were made. Many of these tables have false drawers, but you would never know it. This table is in great condition. Revolutionary war style drum table and lamp. I believe these were made in the 1950s. The table is 22 inches high by 19" inches in diameter. W ood which is natural finish on one side and painted eagle on the other. It has ropes and sliders to simulate the look of a real drum. Top is white vinyl over particle board. It is in excellent condition. With one small patch on the top rim that was expertly restored. The lamp is the same style with painted eagle on drum. Wood post and large white shade in new condition. The drum section is 10 1/2 inches high by 10 inches in diameter. From bottom of drum to top of shade, it stands about 31 inches high. It is in excellent working condition.
