Antique Vintage Bisque Doll or women figurine possibly Virgin Mary
You are bidding on one vintage bisque figurine. She reminds me of the blessed mother. Not sure but she does have a halo on her head. There is a little bit of gold wear. Issue: Her fingers on her one hand are broken. She needs a good cleaning. This item is white with a mint green and her hair is a blondish coloring. This item is 8 inches high by 5 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches measured across the bottom. The bottom has a black ink mark S 176. Please see all pictures. I wish I could add more than twelve pictures for some of these pieces. This is an estate sale find. Actually the bisque items came from a place that attends auctions and also purchases entire estates. I am not an expert. I will describe items to the best of my ability and tell you what I see. This auction is for a great old figurine. It is of a lady in a winter outfit. What I do not know is how made it our its age. I am also listing another one that is made by the same manufacturer in another listing. They might be carolers. I really do not know. It is made out of porcelain or ceramic. It appears to be hand painted and has the numbers 7716 written on the bottom. It stands approx. 8.5 inches tall. I really could not find any chips or cracks, very little to no wear. Offer fell thru.item still for sale 2/18/14* Magnificent German triple women Dresden Lace ballerina figurine. The beautiful girls are in ruffled lace and the approximate measurements are 5 1/2" high and 8" across. There are no cracks and I can't determine any damage to the lace. I am no expert so please look at the pictures carefully as they are part of the description. Ask questions if necessary. The mark on the bottom(from what I can determine) is from the period of 1900-1936. It would make an absolutely beautiful addition to your collection. This figurine with the famed"Dresden lace" is made by dipping real lace into liquefied porcelain and applying that soaked lace to the figurine. The cotton of the lace is burned off in the firing to leave on the figurine the actual porcelain lace.

Lovely Antique Porcelain Busts 2 French/ German Women in Traditional 1870 Dress This listing is for both of these lovely ladies: finely hand painted French or German Bisque Busts. They have characteristics of both German and French Busts. It is rare to find both of them still together all of these years. The two are truly magnificent and beautiful young maidens. Both are mounted on fancy cobalt blue Doric columns trimmed with gold accents. Molded of bisque or unglazed porcelain. Molded separately and fastened together with a bolt. The workmanship is remarkable. The detail of the cloth is precise with raised dots. The hair also so sharply defined. Both are dressed ... morein a floral print low cut dresses. One is holding a bid. The other a sealed envelope. Both are wearing hats, one a pink hat with a feather, the other a blue ruffled hat with a red ribbon. They are very old. And these two beauties are not without flaws. The girl with the bird: The hand holding the bird has repairs as well as the base. On her proper right side one of her curls has a repair. The girl holding the envelope: Her face has a very faint surface hairline as shown in the photos. Not readily visible unless closely examining. the feather on her hat has some gilding that looks like it was applied to cover the break. Also as chip at the back brim of the hat as shown in photo above. Both of the busts are in two pieces. Bust and base, and are slightly loose. They can be taken apart. I have looked for a signature, but could find none. They are expertly hand painted and extremely well sculpted. The stunning detail of these works is so perfectly executed. The style of the work is similar to Carrier, Levy, and Deboy, and the German artist Muller. This is a rare and beautiful. Very decorative and highly collectible antique porcelain figurine marked KPM with sceptre label in blue and cross in black, numbered 140/350 on the bottom, depicting a girl with a basket full of flowers, c. 1914-1917. The KPM factory uses only high quality materials and their designs are exceptional. The figurine is in excellent condition with one tiny chip to the leaf in the basket( so small. Can't really notice it, look at the last photo) no cracks or repairs. The colors are vivid and beautiful. Measures about 6" high and 3 1/2" wide. The base measures 3 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" deep. Volkstedt Dresden Women Dress Figure Art Figurine German Porcelain Lady Display
Presented here for your bidding consideration is this lovely antique marked Volkstedt Dresden lace figurine depicting a beautiful woman wearing a delicate crinoline dress strewn with flowers! The lady is posed ever so gracefully upon a green settee. Her slender limbs extended to arrange the frothy layers of her ethereal gown. Tiny porcelain flowers are artfully arranged on her skirt, bodice, and in her hair. Note the details in the painting of her expressive facial features, and the fine brushstrokes in her hair to define every curl and wave. The figurine comes in a desirable size for display purposes-roughly 6 3/4"wide by 5 1/4" tall and 4 1/2" deep. The piece is clearly marked on the bottom with the Volkstedt mark that I believe was used from 1900 to 1936, a stamped number 42 as pictured. These draped lace figurines are astonishing ... morein their delicacy. And is often the case, there are some losses to the fragile material. Fortunately, this example has held up quite well. All through the three layers of ruffles at the hemline there are tiny, mostly inconsequential chips. Near her knee the lace is chipped just a bit. On the right hand side near the chair leg the pink ruffle is chipped, along with a bit of the white layer. The lace of the bodice does not seem to be affected at all. The flowers are all pretty wonderful. Still, a very lovely piece to behold! If you have any questions please ask. This is almost perfect a beautiful piece.
