The interior of this purse is clean. There is a covered compartment for face powder with a clear mirror in the lid. Two spring loaded places for a dime and nickel coins and the other side was probably for a dance card but could be used for folding money. They are so fabulous you really need to see them in person to appreciate how well made they are. The dancing Victorian couple is all hand painted. They set on top of a wonderful ormolu filigree footed base. The bottom of the base are numbered 300. The socket takes a regular size bulb but I am including the socket adapter that can be removed with these that will allow you to also use a small end bulb too. I am also including the brand new silicone tipped bulbs that resemble candle flames. The auctioneer told us that these are Dresden although we could find no marks. ... moreSometimes the makers marks are under the porcelain which in this case can’t be seen because it is adhered to the ormolu base. In any case they are exquisite. Each lamp measures 10 ¾ inches tall to the top of the socket. 3 Victorian Dancing Girls Women-PORCELAIN LACE DRESSES-Blue Crown Initial A
Up for auction is a lovely. Antique, porcelain, figurine. It measures 7 inches high and 8 1/2 inches wide. This unusual figurine is of 3 Victorian girls, holding hands and dancing. Each is wearing a pink dress, with white porcelain lace and applied flowers. Each also has a different colored shirt waist. All are wearing ballet shoes. Please look carefully over each photo. There are several area's of damage to the lace. The worst of it can be seen in photo#5, where a large chunk of lace is missing. Some of the lace has tinges of light brown, which looks like it occurred due to age. If you look at the last photo, you'll see to old repairs; one to the thigh and one to the underside of the skirt. Fortunately, this can be seen when it's right side up. Despite the damage, this wonderful piece displays beautifully. The maker is Furstenberg and this was made in the early 1920's. There is a number on the back- 1926 and the Furstenberg crown. Both dancers are stunning. This piece is in excellent condition. Especially considering the age. I did notice that the mans pinky is chipped nad the flower ring on the girl looks like it has been glued on. I'm not sure it will stay glued during shipping so you may have to have it reglued. I didn't want to try regluing myself for fear of not using the proper materials. There are also a few small pots on the girls dress that look as though the"lace" has broken. I have included pictures for you. All facial paint is in near mint condition. Her ... moredress is stunning. There is a great deal of gold trim all over this piece. The outfits on both dancers is gold trimmed. The man's outfit is heavily trimmed in gold.
