This is a wonderful example of the Rococo Period work of Carl Schneider. It has the impressed mark with the DEP dating it to 1879- 1887. Also impressed is the number"7758" and a red painted number"114" for the artist that did the hand painting. It shows a boy with a hat holding a basket of fruit and he is holding one apple up high in his left hand.He still has gold remaining on his pants, though the cold painted gold has begun to turn which is normal. Most is still there. The condition is excellent with no chips or cracks and we used a UV black light to chek for any repairs and there were none. The piece measures 7"T X 5 1/2"W X 3"D. They measures a full 11" tall x 8 1/2" wide x 4 3/4" deep and weigh more than 3 1/2" pounds each. The condition of this pair is excellent. One cow has a small glaze flake on the end of one horn which you can illustrated in the 7th image, otherwise, there are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration. Antique German Porcelain Dresden Boy Figurine Figural Vase Planter Spill Holder
This is a beautiful high quality vase which has a Piano Baby Boy Doll figurine attached to the front of a basket. He is holding a bouquet of porcelain flowers in his hand and there are also porcelain flowers on each side of the front of the basket. Unmarked except for an inscribed 13 on the base. But from the quality of this piece I believe him to be French or German made. Approximately 5 1/4 inches tall. 3 1/2 inches wide, and 4 3/4 inches deep. In excellent condition the only problem I could find is a small chip to the very edge of the corner on the top right side of the basket. And his right pinky finger is also chipped. Rare Early c1910 Roosevelt Bears & Basket Bisque Figurine, Flat Back,Spill Vase?
This is a very old figurine of two bears carrying a basket. They are the Roosevelt bears- one brown and one blond. This is a hand painted piece that is unglazed. Some of the paint has worn off of the brown color on the brown bear. It may have been a spill vase to hold parafin tipped cones to start files. It was obviously made to stand on a mantle or shelf with a closed back as there is no color on the back. It has no marks as to the maker. It is 4& 1/4" tall and 4& 1/2" across the base. Other than the wear to the paint. It is in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. A great old souvenir celebrating Teddy Roosevelt.

Antique Bisque Spill Vase, Boy on a Swing
This delicate bisque double spill vase measures 6 inches long. 2 3/4 inches wide, and 5 1/2 inches tall. The little boy is perched on a brass wire swing that attaches loosely to each vase. The piece is hand-painted and is signed on the bottom simply"S3" or"53. We believe it is from Germany, circa 1890, but it is unsigned by the maker. The condition is excellent. Antique Bisque Spill Vase I do not have an EXACT maker but after doing MONTHS of research I have found several pieces that are nearly identical to this with the same markings on the bottom(except the 4 numbers under the arrows were different of course) The detailing that runs up the leg of the boy is nearly IDENTICAL to a pair of figurines done by LaCourtillo or Rue Fontaine-au-Roy Paris. France. Either way it is spectacular! It is a bud vase with 2 figures of children. One on a swing. There used to be a string that is now gone but can easily be replaced(you don't even notice that it's gone however) The colors are VERY VIBRANT and all the little details are still in tact(like the rose petals. WELCOME to my ebay store! This is a beautiful and solid little figurine of bisque type porcelain. A little girl in hat. Dress and apron carries a very large basket on her bag which she holds by a rope handle around her neck. She stands on a base that is unmarked. I am guessing it is German made. And probably a spill vase. Some of the pieces from this estate collection I acquired are marked with numbers, or marked Foreign, or not marked at all, as this one. From about the beginning of the 20th century, both the US and UK required more details of origin than'foreign' on imported china items. They wanted the actual country, written in the Queens English(in the US, the act was called the 1890 The McKinley Tariff Bill, and in the UK it was the 1897 British Merchandise Marks Act) So it looks like this piece pre-dates the UK act of 1897 ... morebecause they do not conform to the legislation. It is unmarked. It did come from a UK antiques estate collection of porcelain, see my other listings, they vary a lot in periods of make. Judging by style of the piece and face painting, I am guessing that it, like most of the collection, is German. Other than dirt, I see signs of damage to the figure or the base. Superb Antique Ernst Wahliss Teplitz Austrian Spill Vase This amazing figural vase of an old woman carrying a basket and wheel of bread is crafted with amazing detail. Done probably around the turn of the century. It is embossed Made in Austria 4532 as well as I assume the decorators mark 4532I 409. 2. in green paint. Simply stunning she is very carefully hand painted with much attention to detail and accented in a gold wash that is quite eye-catching. From the buttons right down to the hem of her apron with its beautiful watercolor like flowers; this piece is all quality! I believe this piece probably had a paper label at one time as there are remnants of a sticker on the underside. In doing some research I learned that the company did use a paper label. This has the look of Royal Dux but I believe it more likely Wahliss after comparing ... morehow the underside looks with the impressed marks and painted numbers to other known pieces of Wahliss Teplitz that are marked with a stamp. In nice vintage condition with no breaks or cracks save for one break to the handle of her basket. Probably done when someone was trying to remove a match and got a bit too rough(see pic) it really doesn’t detract for the aesthetics of the piece and if it were filled you would likely not even notice. The item has a little surface grim but I will let the next own choose how best to clean. This item is quite heavy for its size and measures about 8.5” tall The base is 4” wide Nice example from a quality maker! You will not be disappointed! This is one of those whimsical pieces that appealed to the Victorian taste- a young boy with a gathering basket looks down to the base of a ladder at an excited little dog. Except for a few accents of metallic gold, the only painted portion is the boy and his basket, the ladder and dog are unpainted matte white. There is a narrow opening on the back of the ladder that could hold spills and the basket would be an ideal place for matches- they would look like gathered wood ... moreand could probably be struck against the textured exterior of the basket. At some point in time, the basket was broken off of the piece and has been glued back in place. From the front side, it looks in perfect condition and is only noticeable if you know where to look. From the back, you will notice the broken line of separation on the boy's back and at the top corner of the basket. These were hand painted so they are all unique and this one has a very nice expression on the face. It has a beautiful array of colors with red. Orange, blue, pink, yellow, blue, green and accents in the brown and black. This is an amazing collectible the back was made flat so it was able to lean against a wall and the detail is good, very charming figural on the famous Story book Characters. A spill vase was usually kept on the mantel piece and was filled with rolled paper tapers or very thin wood sticks. Called spill.
