Here is this large figural group made of fine porcelain. This figural group was probably made by Edme Samson. It has a red crown mark(similar to that of early 19thc Derby figurines) But it also has a crossed swords mark(a spitting image of Meissen) under the glaze near the red crown mark. Samson was known to mark figurines with both marks, so it is likely his. There is also a IV mark impressed on the base. The porcelain figurine is finely modelled and beautifully hand painted. The figurine has a repair to the hat of the masked man and was repainted. The ladies hand, highest in the air, may have been repaired ... moreas well, but the paint for the others' hands also looks to be different than the arms(and those don't look to be repaired) Just be aware that there may be other repairs. The mark resembles early Derby marks but they could be Derby style produced by Samson or another firm. The quality is top notch as you can see in the photos. SIZE: They measure approximately 8.5 inches high. CONDITION: There is an old professional repair to his base which is mostly underneath. There is loss to 2 fingertips on his right hand. She has no apparent damage but there is a manufacturing firing/stress crack on one side of her neck. It is right near her hair and you will only notice it if you're looking for it. A wonderful pair of ceramic Dalmation dogs figurines. Hand painted and both different. Stands 3 3/4" tall and 2 3/8" in diameter. They have the gold anchor painted mark( Chelsea Samson} on the underside. This is confusing to me since all the research I have done shows the Samson Chelsea gold anchor painted on the base. And not the underside. They belonged to my late mother and she had them for over 40 years, they were always kept in a curio cabinet. They are in pristine condition, no chips, cracks or crazing.

This is a very fine Samson bowl that is about 10 inches long and about 4 inches tall very fine details and a very fine French copy of a German Meissen item. Very fine details with the mold work and grapes and the gold gilt and the hand painted areas. Well marked on the bottom with the Samson mark crossed cuffed swords. It does have a restored handle and a bunch or grapes has been worked on but looks very nice and display great. Loads of nice photos. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. This early 1900s 5 7/8” tall x 2 5/8” diameter(base) hand painted porcelain figuring with hand formed and applied roses on the base bears a blue underglaze mark similar to Capodimonte and is marked made in France on the bottom. Obviously an early 20th century statuette inspired by the work of Capodimonte. It is likely the work of Samson or other Paris area porcelain manufacturer. It is free of cracks, chips and repairs. There are infinitesimal color losses on the end of the blossoms. The edges are sharp/rough, so I cannot tell if these 2 or 3 tiny spots are damage or manufacturing imperfections. Up for auction is this wonderful Samson& Co. porclein figurine in a situation where a man and woman converse at leisure in a Louie XIV style. There is a rapport going on between them. The statue is 9"tall x 7" wide and x5 1/2"deep. It is all hand painted with much delicacy with the facial features especially. Looked at by different angles the story of their presence changes slightly. Indeed it is a happy time though. She has one chip on one of her fingers and a bit of ground near her feet is shaved at the surface.

19th Century CHELSEA Derby Samson ROCOCO STYLE PORCELAIN FIGURINES Musicians
Rococo Baroque Style Antique figurines. Sold as a pair. Musicians with a Clarinet and a Lute. Also could be a Shepherd& Shepherdess, he with his dog and she with her sheep. I would guess these are probably from 1875-1900 period. Because of the Dresden type coloring) Although they could be much earlier. I know the gold anchor Chelsea mark was used from 1756-1769, and was the most forged mark. I have seen a mark with this S type going through that was considered Chelsea. There are other marks with the S figure, but they seem to be going the other way, and contributed to other markers. I just do not know or have I been able to find out who for sure who made these. There are parts of them that look like so many different makers combined. If anyone has information or guesses, please inform me. Most areas with damage have had some kind of touch up restoration in the past. On the Lady: 2 broke off flowers& 1 pedal end. 2 broke off leaves& 2 tips. The end of her lute has been broken& re-glued also the end may have been longer with more to it. On the Man: 1 broke off flower. 4 broke off leaves& 3 broke off tips. I also think the short dogs leg was broken off. Woman is 7 3/4" tall. The base is 4 1/2" x 3 3/4" Man is 8 1/4" tall. Antique Porcelain Samson Meissen Dresden Couple Cherub Group Figurine Figure
This is a rare early hand painted porcelain figural grouping of two lovers in a garden with a cherub flying over them. A bust in the background and a dog and two lambs. It bears a very faint blue crossed swords mark on the base. I believe this is an early Meissen piece, please take a look at the pictures. Measures 9 3/4 inches high by 7 inches wide and is heavy weighted. Condition is overall good. There is some damage and restoration. The cherubs one arm has been reattached at the shoulder and he has a repaired bell the little stick to hit in in his other hand is broken. The lady has a broken thumb and end of finger tips, the little dog has only the very end of his one paw chipped. Edmé et Cie. The firm was a copyist of important porcelain and pottery. It's the period that in Europe the interest in history and thus the decorative arts from older times grew year by year. The old handwork was worth to be kept alive. Supplying reproductions of ceramics on display in museums and famous private collections became an interesting market. Which was keenly seen by Samson’s son, Emile Samson. The firm exhibited at the International Exposition(1867) and the Exposition Universelle(1889) Many of its products have been passed off as originals. France, Paris. d- Year of production: Second half of the nineteenth century. e- Material and Technique: Hard paste porcelain. Decorated and enameled by hand by the best ceramic artists of France in the nineteenth century. f- Dimensions and Weight: All approx. Height: 15.5 cm. Width: 20.5 cm. Weight: 1880 gr. g- Identification: Though our statue has the mark of the Chantilly firm. We think we can attribute this work of art to Samson, Paris. The material is a hard paste porcelain which makes an attribution to Chantilly almost impossible. h- Condition: Very good condition. Though there is a very small chip inside the mouth of the figure, clearly visible in our pictures. Very easy to restore

5 DAY'S ONLY at 395.00 for the Pair.REDUCED PRICE SALE: Rococo Baroque Style Antique figurines. Sold as a pair. Musicians with a Clarinet and a Lute. Also could be a Shepherd& Shepherdess, he with his dog and she with her sheep. I would guess these are probably from 1875-1900 period. Although they could be much earlier. I know the gold anchor Chelsea mark was used from 1756-1769, and was the most forged mark. I have seen a mark with this S type going through that was considered Chelsea. There are other marks with the S figure, but they seem to be going the other way, and contributed to other markers. I just do not know or have I been able to find out who for sure who made these. There are parts of them that look like so many different makers combined. If anyone has information or guesses, please inform me. I am selling them as just ... morea pair of unknown figurines. I put in pictures of the underneath bases for you to view. As they seem very old and these seem to be hard paste porcelain. I cannot find any other marks. These just both have a gold anchor mark with an S hand painted in gold on their backs. Please check out the pictures well for damages. I will list what I can see. Most areas with damage have had some kind of touch up restoration in the past. On the Lady: 2 broke off flowers& 1 pedal end. 2 broke off leaves& 2 tips. The end of her lute has been broken& re-glued also the end may have been longer with more to it. On the Man: 1 broke off flower. 4 broke off leaves& 3 broke off tips. I also think the short dogs leg was broken off. Woman is 7 3/4" tall. The base is 4 1/2" x 3 3/4" Man is 8 1/4" tall. The base is 4 1/2" x 3 3/4" These will be sent fully insured and packaged very carefully. All pictures taken. Are of the actual item for sale. Ask questions if needed.
