The piece is 8 inches long by 5 1/4 inches tall and is in a lying position. It has a light brown coloring and shows very well. It is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or crazing. The Deer has the green Nymphenburg shield on the base with West Germany printed below the shield, and the impressed Nymphenburg shiled along with the numbers 423& 17. Rare 1900 Nymphenburg Porcelain Whoopee Bird Figurine Porzellan Wiedehopf Figur
For sale is a rare figurine of a whoopee bird( Wiedehopf in German) made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. Not a model you really ever come across except in books and not one produced today anymore. The bird is really well modeled sitting on a stup with some flowers on it. Amazingly his beak is still intact which is often not the case. He is rextremely well painted- quite the stunning piece! The piece is 13.25 inches tall. 6 inches deep and 4.5 inches wide so rather large. It is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath the base as well as the impressed model number 166/ a. RARE 19th century Nymphenburg statuette - Commedia dell'Arte!
This is an extremely rare pull from Bustelli's model for"Scaramuz" from the Commedia dell'Arte. Which he first created around 1760. This one is unpaintede but glazed(blanc de chine" and in excellent condition- no breaks, repairs, crazing, hairlines or other defects- only possibly a small, fingertip-sized indentation under the base at the edge, which probably occurred during manufacture but possibly later; it is so faint, I was not able to capture it in a photograph. This piece is 8 1/2" high-larger than the usual pulls of the series- why, I don't know. Rare Antique Nymphenburg Theodor Karner Porcelain Black Bird Figurine

It is a magnificent piece originally sculpted by Prof. Theodor Karner. As one can clearly see it is meticulously crafted and painted giving it an amazing life like appearance. The one thing that really caught my eye is the overall detailed work especially the feet. Feathers and head area which is incredible. This piece dates to sometime between 1905-1918, as this is the time Prof. Karner worked for Nymphenburg, though from my research I believe it dates to specifically 1914. It has a blue impressed Nymphenburg hallmark on the outer top edge of the base along with a green hallmark on the bottom, impressed numerals 5 397 and T. Karner. It has little to no wear throughout as it was carefully cabinet kept. ... moreThere is a small manufacture separation in the pottery just below his right foot and some horizontal striations on the left side of his neck which may be for effect. There are a few flecks or what I call glaze skips throughout. There is a tiny one on the very tip of his tail that I intially thought may be a small tiny chip though the way it is formed and where it is leads me to believe it is a glaze skip. I have tried to photograph these detailed descriptions so please review the photographs carefully as they are also part of the description. These descriptions certainly do not initially jump out at you and do not detract from the general aesthetics of this gorgeous piece which are only mentioned for accuracy. One may say it has weathered the many years extremely well and is in very good condition with no cracks, breaks or repairs that I can detect. This treasure measures approximately 6 3/4 inches highest point of his tail x 3 1/2 inches widest point across x 8 5/8 inches longest points. They are made in the Nymphenburg Palace, in Munich, and are simply some of the best examples of European porcelain ever made. The attention to detail and the ethereal quality of the glaze sets Nymphenburg at the very top of the European porcelain industry. It is an absolutely magnificent work of art. This piece was completely hand-sculpted. The bows and the lace around the dress are thin and delicate. Even the necklace and earrings are very detailed. Approximately 6.5" tall. The only flaws are the tips of her two middle fingers on her left hand. Which are missing. This is really not noticable the way her hand is positioned. Vintage Blanc de Chine Deer Doe Figurine Porcelain Nymphenburg Germany Rare This is a beautiful Nymphenburg(German) Blanc De Chine porcelain young doe/deer figure. Nymphenburg porcelain is synonymous with the highest level of quality as well as collectability. This piece is no exception. The artist creates a great depiction of a young female deer or doe. It is laying in a curled position. It is stamped on the bottom of the base with the Nymphenburg shield stamp and has the style number 460 and an 8 on the bottom as well. It is in excellent overall condition. There is a tiny chip at the tip of the left ear; however it doesn't take from the beauty of this piece. I have taken close-photos so you can see it clearly.
