DESCRIPTION: Beautiful large pair of Old Paris porcelain figural made by Vion et Baury and exhibited in Viena. Austria in 1873. Vion et Baury is known by larger Old Paris bisque figurals. This rare pair has condition issues concommitant with age and very old restorations. Nevertheless, they still make a beautiful display in their current state.They are exquisitely modeled and painted in soft pastel colors with gilded details. Each statuette is marked with the older Vion et Baury monogram, VB. Embossed and applied lavender biscuit medallion on the interior of the base. Each is also inscribed EXP on DE VIENNE AUTRICHE 1873. This figurine was produced by Gille studio and modeled by artist charles Baury.
