This pair of antique Jasperware framed tile/plaques has been in the same family for generations. They are framed in gold leaf/gilt frames. Paper covering back is stamped Germany. One frame was slightly loose at corner so we removed that plaque to show how the back of each piece looks and how it was made. see last photo) Back is marked but very fine and difficult to get photo of. The very deep 3-D Jasperware figures could benefit from a dusting with a damp rag. Each plaque(including frame) measures 10 1/3" by 7" The tile within the frame measures 4 3/8" by 7 5/8" Shipping charges will include insurance.

NO RESERVE BID- Here is a really charming old diminutive opposing pair of Staffordshire Dalmatian Dog Figurines. There are almost identical except that one figurine is very slightly taller than the other. One stands approximately 5 1/2" and the other 5 5/8" They have red collars gold. Padlocks and gold chains. Thery appear to be all in great shape but do have"age" crazing under the glaze. I m absolutely no authority and all I can say for certain is that they did come from an old estate. I will be glad to try to answer any email questions. There are no maker's marks or other identification that I can discern. In any event they are certainly a handsome pair in great shape. They each stand 13.5" tall with the 3 Arm candelabra insert and as candlesticks they each stand 9.5" tall. The 3 arm candelabra insert is 4.6" and 7" wide with a cork liner. The figures are each 7" tall and sit on a 4.5" x 4" base. They are hand painted in pastel colors of pink. Blue, green and yellow with gold embellishment. They are made of bisque with great attention to detail. The hair is textured with comb marks showing– the child with short reddish blonde hair wears pink trimmed nighty and socks and holds a rabbit close to her chest. The older sister has long curly blonde hair that is tied up in the back with blue ribbon. Her nightgown is trimmed with blue and her socks are blue stripe. She holds a pigeon. They were probably made in 1930’s and since they are not signed and there are no maker’s marks, I would guess they were made in Japan. Up for your consideration are two Vintage/Antique Grandma and Grandpa Bisque Figurines. I can't date these exactly but they have been around since at least 1936. Hand painted by the original artist with his depiction of a man and wife farmer from early depression. There are no cracks or chips however age of each shows imperfections in craftsmanship of that era. This type of molding was very hard to perform until later years. Fine and tight crazing throughout, light glaze and surface scratches and scuffing throughout, and other signs of light wear consistent with age. Measurements: Cow 1 Height: 7 1/4 in. Width: 9 in. THE FLOPPY HAT DWARF IS# u-22B AND THE TALL HAT MAN IS#U22A. HARD TO FIND MATCHED PAIR! FLOPPY HAT MAN HAS NO CRACKS/CHIPS/REPARIS THAT I SEE. TALL HAT MAN IS MISSING HIS CANE FROM HIS HAND BUT HARD TO NOTICE. COLORS AND GOLD ARE WONDERFUL. THEY MEASURE APPROX 6 1/4" 6 1/2" TALL. VERY LARGE!
