Antique Victorian bisque hanging oil lamp swinging figure doll girl
This auction is for an antique Victorian bisque girl figure. Meant to hang as a decoration on a hanging oil lamp. She measures about 5" tall. The boy is being sold in a separate auction. While the boy shows an old repair, I don't see anything wrong with the girl figurine itself. The right side of the swing has a small crack on the top surface. It doesn't extend all the way through to the bottom but could be a weak spot. There is a blue number 23 on the bottom of the swing. She has a cute expression and bright color. Resembling a comet's tail. To me it looks like a line of"9s. The burner says"venus" patented Dec. 10th. 1867. I do not believe the chimney is original to the lamp. Condition; There are no chips or cracks. There are a few air bubbles and straw marks, as well as scratches from normal use. Seems the camera picks up what the eye cannot see. Condition: 5.25" tall and 3.75" wide; The original paint is all there except for a little rub/paint loss on the tip of his nose- no damage to the nose just a little paint has rubbed off. The tip of one shoe was repaired. There is also a small hairline on the back of the hammock(see last photo) I have tried to identify any flaws no matter how small but the are antique very old items so not like new. Vintage Rare Bisque Porcelain Hanging Lady on Swing Figurine Oil Lamp Maybe
I have up for auction this very pretty lady. She is so sweet looking with her little hands and feet. This item has original string to hang her with. Not sure what she would have hung from. Maybe hanging oil lamp. There are a few thread coming apart towards the top of the string. The string has a gold color thread wrapped around the first string. The lady is wearing a peachy color dress with lots of gold color dots sticking up from the dress. She is holding a large fan also while she is swing. I have never seen another one of these. If someone knows what she might have hung from, I would love to know. She is just so beautiful. She measures 7" high X 4" across X 3" deep.
