This beautiful antique Luigi Fabris porcelain seated lady is holding two baskets of porcelain flowers. The neckline and the hem of her dress are trimmed with dresden lace. A porcelain flower also decorates the center of her neckline. She is wearing sandals on her delicate feet. Her upswept hair is decorated with a ribbon. She is in excellent condition with the exception of a small piece of lace that is missing on the back of her right shoulder(see picture 5) She's 4" tall and 4-1/2" wide. The base is gold trimmed and is signed on the bottom.

Exquisite antique large Capodimonte Porcelain Dresden Lace Style Figurine by Luigi Fabris Italy depicts Lady on Swing from Tree in Garden with Dog. Measures about 12 1/2" tall. 10" long and 8" wide. The base is marked L Fabris 532. Close inspection shows NO chipping. Cracking, loss or crumbling to lace of any kind. Almost all the great old Dresden Lace figurines are found with at least some lace loss so this is extraordinary. Swing ropes are original and no leaves on tree limbs are chipped. I found 2 tiny places in back where the tips of leaves have been nicked off(see pics 9 and 10) And one spot on front left seen in pics 4 and pointed out in pic 11.and for that I have the 3 pieces of the leave tips. This exquisite large figurine is of a lady holding 2 baskets of flowers. She has a beautiful face. Flowers in her hair and a lace bodice tied together with flowers. Both in classical 18th century dress on a bed of flowers. Luigi Fabris(1883-1952) is a well-known Italian porcelain artist. Born in Bassano near Venice. He attended the Academy of Venice studying sculpture and was very successful in this field. In 1912 he began to create figurines. Modeled and decorated with extreme fineness and precision; figurines that recreated, with grace and fantasy, the 17 th century Venezian world. In 1918, following the end of World War 1, he moved to Milan where he opened a factory to produce ceramics. He became highly successful and soon his work was being exported worldwide.
