~ Dresden Cinderella Carriage ~ This is a gorgeous. Huge German Unterweissbach porcelain and lace Carriage figurine with two dapple white horses, a driver, a beautiful lady riding in the carriage and a footman riding on the back, peeking into the window. A very large piece, it measures 20 1/2" from end to end. 10" tall and 9 1/2" deep(52cm long. 25.5cm tall, 24.2cm deep) It is in excellent overall condition; there are no chips to the porcelain, no repairs, a tiny bit of lace loss on the mens wrist cuffs, some loss to the horses reins(easily replaced) and there is some color wear on the sleeves of the woman's dress. c18 English Chelsea Figures. Large Gorgeous! These are a magnificent and large original 18c English porcelain Chelsea figures! A beautiful woman with sheep at the base. And a gentleman with dog to his side. Hand painted with extremely fine detail, beautiful colors! Applied flowers and ribbons decorate the clothing. The figures are very heavy and substantial. The detail and quality is top notch! The condition is very good overall with some minor damage. The woman has some damage to the ribbons on her one sleeve, and some of the ribbons may have restoration. The gentleman has one finger tip off, and possible restoration to his hat? These are two gorgeous mid to late 1800's figurines of a man and woman done in blue and white with Dresden lace. They are both 13" tall and I believe the mark on the bottom of the figures is from a German factory in the 1800s. They are wonderfully ornate. Both of the figurines are wearing hats and the man is holding an ax in one hand and the woman looks to be holding a small scythe in one of her hands. In their other hand they are holding flowers. The woman is carrying a large basket of flowers and an urn also filled with flowers is beside her. The man's arm is resting on a large pitcher which sits on a cut off tree which is also done in blue and white. The only other colors are their faces. I am calling this Butterfly Catcher. Probably dates sometime in the 1880 to 1920 time period. The figure is of a boy in a lavender jacket with a butterfly net. It is very detailed. It has a steamhole in the bottom and in the top of the tree trunk in the back. Condition is fair to good for age. There are a few small chips and losses to the bottom flower and leaves by his feet(pic#8) No other chips, cracks or repairs. Photo#6 is the base of the figurine and it has only a few flowers. The pink flower in the back has 2 pedals chipped and the blue flower towards the front looks as if the back pedal has a small chip. The other ones are fine. Another interesting feature that I don't see on any of my other higher quality figurines is the way they highlighted the fingernails on both man and woman. I tried to capture this is photo#4) The fingernails are very detailed! In photo#5. I am pointing to the man's left index finger. His"fingernail" is broken off(Not his finger) Also, there is a"spot" on the man's left side of his face. You can see it really good in photo#12. I don't know if it belongs there, but it is not anything that I have had any luck removing. I'm so use to seeing him with that"mold" on his face, maybe it just belongs there. From my 30 +++ years of my personal collection. Large Exquisite French Porcelain Group. This group is of 3 women and 1 man around a parlor table. Very vibrant colors. Measurements of the base approx. 11 1/2" long by 8" wide. Man figurine stands approx. 8 3/4" high. Woman in back stands almost 8 3/4" high. Woman sitting in front measures approx. 6 3/4" at highest point. Woman sitting in back measures approx. 6 3/4" at highest point. Parlor table approx. 3" high. Not including items on table) The underglazed blue mark is apparently Vincent Dubois(1771- 1840) The blue mark is two crossed lines or bolts with feathered ends. The blue feather is well defined. There is a round brownish circle with a Y demarcating 3 initals F.B. S. I am guessing that these are the artists that worked on this piece and it is of an ... moreolder date rather than the earlier time. On the bottom is"Made in France" in blue. Vincent Dubois established in 1773 a hard-paste factory, using for his mark two crossed branches with leaves, in allusion to his name. They are sometimes called pointless arrows. This porcelain group is in absolutely mint condition. If I wanted to be critical(and I will) there is a"flea-bite" on the black paint of the man's left shoe. WELCOME to my ebay store! This is a beautiful and solid little figurine of bisque type porcelain. A little girl in hat. Dress and apron carries a very large basket on her bag which she holds by a rope handle around her neck. She stands on a base that is unmarked. I am guessing it is German made. And probably a spill vase. Some of the pieces from this estate collection I acquired are marked with numbers, or marked Foreign, or not marked at all, as this one. From about the beginning of the 20th century, both the US and UK required more details of origin than'foreign' on imported china items. They wanted the actual country, written in the Queens English(in the US, the act was called the 1890 The McKinley Tariff Bill, and in the UK it was the 1897 British Merchandise Marks Act) So it looks like this piece pre-dates the UK act of 1897 ... morebecause they do not conform to the legislation. It is unmarked. It did come from a UK antiques estate collection of porcelain, see my other listings, they vary a lot in periods of make. Judging by style of the piece and face painting, I am guessing that it, like most of the collection, is German. Other than dirt, I see signs of damage to the figure or the base. Antique Parian Ware White Porcelain Lg 10.5" Lady Head Bust w/Lace Veil MF #79
This is a classic antique Parian ware lady head bust. She is made of a pure white see through porcelain material which is covered with a subtle clear glaze protective finish. This lady was beautifully designed with excellent details. Her makers mark is impressed in the bottom of her base which reads MF. She also has the number 79 impressed on her lower back side. She is could be French. German or English. This lady is wearing a lacy veil and a lovely beaded necklace. I have taken several pictures for your better understanding. As to the condition. There is a damage on one side of her veil where I believe two beads similar to the other side of the veil chipped off. She stills displays beautifully. Especially because the white color makes the damage far less noticeable. There is also one very tiny flea bite at the very bottom of her base which ... morein no way affects the display, but I mention this to be thorough. There are of course, normal manufacturer defects in the porcelain. There are no other issues. This is all shown in the pictures. This is a good size sculpture measuring just over 10 1/2" high. She is riding bareback and holding onto his mane. The horse is white with grey spotted areas. If you lift it up you see the horse is vividly anatomically correct. This is really a stunning piece. She is very large over 10" high and in fine condition with NO chips. NO cracks and NO repairs. There are some scuffs from age being over 100 years old to be expected and the usual tiny firing flaws done in the manufacturing. There is no marking on the bottom. I dusted her off, but she could use a little more careful cleaning. She has wind blown blonde hair. Perfectly painted intaglio blue eyes and pink lips on her smiling open/closed with molded teeth. Perky ... moreupturned nose, dimples in her blushed cheeks and chin and delicately painted brows. The modeling on these babies is amazing with life like creases in the palms. Pudgy arms and chubby legs and knees. Her pale yellow dress has a low neckline with pale lavender ruffles around the shoulders with big blue bows on each side. Lavender ruffles on sleeves and hem as well and tiny raised gold dots overall on the dress. Her hands are beautifully articulated with raised fore and little fingers. She is holding a bunch of cherries in her right hand. These wonderful figurines were once set on pianos during the Victorian era in the 1800s for decoration and perhaps for the ladies to hang their silk scarves or hankies on while they played and entertained their guests. These babies are treasured by collectors and especially desired in this very large size in such wonderful condition. I know you won't be disappointed. LARGER TRIO MUSICIANS GROUP RECITAL STUNNING AND RARE GERMAN COLLECTIBLE PIECE. ORIGINAL VOLKSTEDT DRESDEN LACE PORCELAIN TRIO FIGURAL offered as acquired from estate household. This item was kept in a closed glass display case for at least the previous 4 decades before I acquired it. So it is beautifully clean and visually stunning, no smoke or dust residue at all. The blue under-glaze hallmark is shown on the back on the floor; I am not an expert but quick ... moreresearch indicates this mark is attributed to Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanfabrik AG(1900- 1936) There are no other markings or incisions, the bottom is not marked. Measures just under 9" tall and 10" wide, with figures playing flute, lute, and singing from music book. TONS of precious porcelain lace adorning each figure. There is one notable condition flaw in that there is a flower missing from the floor. Front between singing lady and the table(see photos) This was an applied flower, so there is no breakage, but some residue from porcelain paste. some careful/expert buffing could probably remove all sign of this and it wouldn't even be noticeable, but I do not alter or repair. I like my antiques with the age sauce on top! It is normal to have some minimal loss of lace on these pieces, but the lace here is about 90 percent or better, with the only noticeable area being on the back, on the standing woman's neck and the back of her left sleeve cuff(again, photos provided) There are NO repairs, breaks, hairlines, missing fingers or any other condition notes to report. This is an absolutely gorgeous Spanish Flamenco Dancer Lady figurine. This is a very detailed figurine. Her dress is just beautiful with lots of hand painted details. Her bodice is accented with one porcelain rose and painted with a lovely floral design then trimmed with fringe. She is wearing a raised dotted gold gilt necklace. Her mantilla headdress is accented with white raised dots and 3 porcelain roses. She has one arm raised in the air and the other at her side and is striking a dance pose.
