The mark resembles early Derby marks but they could be Derby style produced by Samson or another firm. The quality is top notch as you can see in the photos. SIZE: They measure approximately 8.5 inches high. CONDITION: There is an old professional repair to his base which is mostly underneath. There is loss to 2 fingertips on his right hand. She has no apparent damage but there is a manufacturing firing/stress crack on one side of her neck. It is right near her hair and you will only notice it if you're looking for it. This is a very fine Samson bowl that is about 10 inches long and about 4 inches tall very fine details and a very fine French copy of a German Meissen item. Very fine details with the mold work and grapes and the gold gilt and the hand painted areas. Well marked on the bottom with the Samson mark crossed cuffed swords. It does have a restored handle and a bunch or grapes has been worked on but looks very nice and display great. Loads of nice photos. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. This early 1900s 5 7/8” tall x 2 5/8” diameter(base) hand painted porcelain figuring with hand formed and applied roses on the base bears a blue underglaze mark similar to Capodimonte and is marked made in France on the bottom. Obviously an early 20th century statuette inspired by the work of Capodimonte. It is likely the work of Samson or other Paris area porcelain manufacturer. It is free of cracks, chips and repairs. There are infinitesimal color losses on the end of the blossoms. The edges are sharp/rough, so I cannot tell if these 2 or 3 tiny spots are damage or manufacturing imperfections. Antique French Dragoon Revolutionary War Soldier Figurine Samson Vienna 19th c
This is an exquisitely done porcelain figurine of an 18 th century French Dragoon Soldier. The front of the piece is incised with Fleurus 1792. Which leads us to believe he would have been in the French Revolutionary War. The piece is 11 ½ inches tall. The overall detail of this statue is amazing. Including the straps for the sword and the bag to the spur on his boot. The back of the piece is inscribed as well and it looks to read Bisson Rousard, which may have been the artist. The piece has a beehive mark and could possibly be Royal Vienna though we are leaning more toward Samson. Samson did top quality imitations of work by other firms and often copied their marks. This is excellent quality and is quite heavy weighing 2 lbs and 12 ounces. We believe this dates to the late 19 th century. The condition is very good. The statue is 9"tall x 7" wide and x5 1/2"deep. It is all hand painted with much delicacy with the facial features especially. Looked at by different angles the story of their presence changes slightly. Indeed it is a happy time though. She has one chip on one of her fingers and a bit of ground near her feet is shaved at the surface.
