Here's a unique pair of hand made folk art pottery Spaniel Dogs. Each dog measures 6" x 3 1/2" x 9 1/2" ht. Since each dog was made seperately one weigh a hefty 4 lbs 10 ozs and the other dog weighs over 5 lbs! Both Spaniels are still in excellent near perfect condition, with only some normal clear glaze surface crazing, any lines shown are also on the surface only with no cracks. there is a minor flaw around one of the backside airholes, and a tiny surface flaw on the bottom edge of one side, the spot on the right dog's nose is not a chip but appears to be an old speck of paint( please see all pics) Total weight of this Awesome Pair 10 lbs!

This chalkware dog is 7 ¼ inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. The dog likely comes from Pennsylvania and is from the second half of the 19 th century. It has its original black. Red and green paint. This would have been the American Folk Art version of an English Staffordshire dog. The figure is made of plaster of paris. There is an old repair on the bottom of the piece as well as a chip on the bottom.

The clothing is cloth which has either stiffened with age or was made to be stiff. The pointed clown hats are covered with strips of the same material as the clothing. There are no cracks.Chips,breaks etc. We found these in the attic along with the Georg LeyKauf(also on auction tonight) on a house call. This hollow chalkware sheep is 9 ¼ inches long and 6 ½ inches tall. It is molded from plaster of paris. It is likely from the Pennsylvania area and dates to the 19 th century. The piece has its original paint that is tan and black. The paint on the back is lighter than the paint on the front and may have been painted over the original paint when it was repaired. The ear of the lamb has broken off. There is a repair to a crack on the base. The paint is dry and is cracking and flaking in spots. This chalkware standing man or boy with hat is 10 ¾ inches tall. It is molded from plaster of paris. It is likely from the Pennsylvania area and dates to the 19 th century. The man has his right hand on a pillar and in his left is his hat. It has its original paint which is white. Black, green, red and mustard. There is some paint loss but this is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Black, brown, red and mustard. There is some paint loss. The woman has a chip on the edge of her hat on the back. A crack is visible on the man where his head has broken off and been repaired. These chalkware figures are usually animals and figures of people are pretty scarce.

Vintage Hungarian Folk Art Porcelain Doll from Budapest
This is a beautiful Vintage Hungarian Folk Art Porcelain Doll. I have had this doll for many years. She is about six inches high, porcelain face, hands and feet. This doll is an antique and was purchased in Budapest at an antique folk art store. The tags are still attached, she is a bit dusty but still a great find for any collector of folk art from Hungary or a doll collector. She has been sitting in a box for many years, we just moved and we found her when we relocated. I would rather have her be with someone who can truly appreciate the craftsmanship of this doll. I was told that the outfit was handmade and the bead work was hand sewn by the shop owner. The tag says" Renata" Exclusive Hungarian Folk Art and it has the business location for verification it was purchased in Budapest. Please note this is an antique, she has not ... morebeen cleaned or tags removed, the photo shown is the actual doll and her condition. Nothing is missing, she just needs little cleaning, or keep her in the original condition for more value down the road. She is a bit dirty, but for a vintage item she is in great shape.
