But the date on these ... morelittle animal paperweights seems to be open for debate. The web site that many use for dating these pieces shows the makers marks, and all of the animal pieces that I have all have the same mark( S. Kirk& Son) then the word STERLING, and some additionally have a small number that is circled. The makers marks on my animal paperweights are the same that were used 1846-1861 then again 1868-1890. From 1896-1932 different makers marks were used and the chart stops in 1932. I spent almost a full day trying to find the missing years with no success. So, these will all be sold as VINTAGE. This auction is for a PENGUIN that is approximately 2" tall. His weight is approximately 103 grams. Condition for all of these animals is consistent with what one would find on any piece of silver that was actually used. Small dents, scratches or areas of roughness are normal. Please look at the photographs for a better description of each animal. The second to last picture is for reference of size of the 5 animals that I currently have listed. Condition for all of these animals is consistent with what one would find on any piece of silver that was actually used. Small dents, scratches or areas of roughness are normal. Male Asian Oriental figurine Florence Ceramics Pasadena CA Vintage mid 1950s For your consideration is a male Asian figurine measuring 8” tall and 4” wide. On the bottom is written“ Florence Ceramics. Pasadena, California, Patent Pending” He is holding a vase with yellow flowers. It could be it was intended to hold flowers as here is an open hole in the vase and another opening on back side behind hand. This belonged to my mother I think around 1950's. The glaze is shiny and I do not see any glazing or chips. It is sold“as is” in case I am missing something. I double box fragile items.

Meissen figurine of little girl holding a monkey, ca. 1900
Small porcelain figurine(4" 10 cm. of little girl in peasant clothes holding a little monkey, who himself is all dressed up in finest circus attire and holds a truncheon. In excellent condition, hand painted. The only flaw is revealed by the thin gray string the girl is holding in her right hand, which is broken off on one or both sides. From the color, I thought it might have been the monkey's tail, althouygh it is impossible that it was so long. In the official Meissen catalogue, Figuren vol. I, the original figures(made ca. 1775 by Acier) show that the monkey had a rope tied around his waist and the girl was holding the end of the rope in her hand. The long, thin rope falling in mid-air must have been impossibly fragile and, in this case, probably broke before the figurine was painted- or was never finished at all- since the painter ... morepainted the monkey's blue jacket a solid color as if there were no rope; if you look carefully on the original, you can see that the thin rope is sculpted around his waist, but is painted over in blue. A piece of the gray rope hangs down the side, then the piece in the girl's hand. It's a beautiful piece, whatever the story behind it is. This example must have been made in the decades around 1900. Under the base are the crossed swords of the Meissen factory in blue underglaze, below which is incised free-hand a large no. 3(the model number under which it appears in the Meissen catalogue) on top of the field on the underside is incised"95" and a zigzag line. After glazing, it was handmarked"22.

This is a Wonderful Fine Porcelain Bisque Figurine of a Man 17th-18th century style with open flower at side. Figurine measures 7 3/4" in height- base 3 5/8" and open flower 1 1/2" He is wearing a mauve jacket with pale blue britches and white stockings with Gold Gild shoes. Not marked but indicative of Bisque made in Germany. When I purchased this it had been glued at one time towards the bottom of the statue. Very hard to see- but shows up on the picture do to the glue shining in the light- very slight- excellent repair. Otherwise in good condition and a very nice figurine. A beautiful pearlware ceramic statuette of an allegorical figure. Hope, from Regency England. It was made by the Staffordshire factory, molded, fired and hand painted in delicately colored enamels. It belongs to a set of three- there are also female figures of"Faith" and"Charity. Unmarked, but you can tell from the bluish color underneath that it is pearlware. A break in the anchor has been professionally restored. A tiny chip in the enamel over left calf. Otherwise in superb condition. Height- 7 1/4" Ca. 1820.

Antique Dresden Lady Figurine Volkstedt ca 1800
She is gorgeous. So detailed. 10" tall in Excellent condition. Please note Pictures show the skirt to be dirty, it is not. I cannot take a picture of the whole figurine without it showing dark areas. It must be the shadow from the pleats of the skirt. I did take close up pictures to show that there is NO issues of any kind on the figurine. She looks as if she would just run off in the wind. Nymphenburg Wonderful Large Dachshund Figurine Ca. 1960
This realistic and very cute large dachshund figurine was made by Nymphenburg of Munich. Germany. It was collected by my mother when my parents were stationed in Wiesbaden from 1965-67. It measures 9 inches in length and 7 inches tall. The base has Nymphenburg impressed shield mark on the bottom. The painter has given him great eyes. It is still in excellent condition with chips or cracks. There are some firing flaws in glaze- a burst bubble on lower back. Unglazed streak on thigh and small unglazed steak on tail. Overall a figurine with great character.

Rudolstadt Bisque Risque Bathing Beauty Original Figurine marked Germany ca 1899
Incredible German bawdy. Risque bathing beauty made after 1890 and bearing a faint, but identifiable, blue mark"Germany" with a crown over a diamond shape containing the initials RW with the city name"Rudolstadt" underneath. There is damage to the little finger of the right hand and the second finger of the left hand is gone. It retains what looks like a little faux pearl necklace. It measures a little over 14" in height and the base is a little over the four inches wide. Underneath is its mark along with incised numbers 3550 and a smaller 31 and a red script 38. The size is unusually large for a"Bathing Beauty"

Antique Meissen Figurine of Russian Folk Dancer- 6"H- Ca 1880- AS IS You are bidding on a wonderful antique Meissen figurine of a Russian Folk Dancer. The figurine is 6 inches tall and is in excellent condition except for the right hand which is missing(and covered by a small bouquet of artificial flowers which my wife glued to the hand- see photos) and some minor flower loss to the top of the hat. The detail and workmanship of robe and flowing ribbons is clearly top quality and all of the ribbons appear to be intact. The painting is exquisite and clearly demonstrates why Meissen's artist are the best. The figurine has the Meissen crossed swords with Pommels under glaze. The incised markings Q 190 B, the impressed number 94 and 63 in red. A truly fantastic figurine which has suffered a loss but still looks like a million. ca 1800S HARD PASTE FIGURINE DISEASED OLD LADY w STICK, BANDAGED HANDS
We got this at an estate sale years ago and always admired the details of this very old hard paste figurine. Probably dating back to the early 1800s, or even earlier. There is so many details that tell a whole story about this wonderful figure. From her lined face to her hands covered in rags and holding a large walking stick. You can't help but wonder what brought her to this sad state. illness? poverty? or just advanced age. There is a mark on the bottom(see photo) But I can't make it out clearly. It is heavy; 12 ounces for just a 7" high figure. There are no cracks and just a few. Very difficult to find'flea bites' The light areas you see in the photos are just light reflections; the paint is esquisite. Antique Victorian ca. 1890 Porcelain Bisque Angel with Muff Figurine Statuette
Offering this spectacular blue eyed beauty. An original late Victorian ca. 1890's bisque statuette depicting an angel securing her hands in a muff as she perches against a tree stump. Remarkably detailed indeed, this striking figurine exemplifies the grandeur of 19th century style and art. With golden hair and pale pink dress accenting her curves, angel's details are characterized by the soft, pastel color palate. This is a rather rare piece, most likely of German or European origination, although does not contain hallmark of manufacturer. Despite minor flaw(please refer to condition description) piece is in fine grade and still is an extraordinary collectible piece. Statuette stands just shy of 10" inches.
