You are bidding on an old Blue Onion Jelly Jar with lid. The knob on top of lid represents an onion. But the original design taken from old Asian pieces was actually a flower. In the late 1800’s this blue flow ware was recreated by Minton in England and copied in Germany and Japan because of its popularity. This piece is made by Arnart in Japan and has the crossed arrows with“blue onion” in script on bottom of piece. The condition renders this jar a“display” piece and not a functional jelly jar.
