Conte and Boehme Antique Porcelain Figurine
This auction is for a very old porcelain figurine of a colonial man. This figurine stands approximately 7" tall and is about 3.25" X 4.25" at the base. It is in overall good condition for its age. There is a firing crack on the inside of the base that does not come through to the outside. Most of the golden paint has been lost and there are two small black dots, most likely firing defects, one by his left foot and a smaller one on his back. There are no other defects that I could find. It has a Conte and Boehme mark at the bottom of the base and number 8. Please see pictures for more details. Thank you for viewing this auction. Antique German Porcelain Fairing The Orphans Dogs Click on the thumbnails to view more photos Wonderful antique German porcelain fairing titled The Orphans with 3 bulldogs on a chair dating to the 1880's. It has the Conte& Boehme mark and is impressed 1887. The fairing measures 3.75" high and 3.25" long. There are no chips or cracks. But there is some fading of the paint. The bulldogs are so cute! Two Conte& Boehme porcelain candlesticks which have an advantage over their usual run of Victorian Fairings. In that they are useful in a lighting emergency, as well as just as decorative as Fairings Thes candlesticks can also be carried around by their tree-trunk handles if necessary. Hugging Angels Cherubs Porcelain Shoe Watch Holder Bow Slipper Conte & Boehme
Offering a Conta and Boehme Hugging Angels watch holder porcelain shoe made in Germany circa the 1890s. Measures 6" long and 5 1/4" high. A green and black high heeled slipper on a tasseled pillow with two cherubs nestled on a blue and white toe bow. One cherub has pink wings. The other has blue. Hand painted with lovely detailing in the angels' faces, on the bow and toe of the shoe. The pillow has a burgundy top and white ruffle and tassels. Glossy finish on the shoe and pillow. Very sweet. No maker's mark. Some incised numbers or marks underneath. The female angel's wing has been broken off and reattached. See pics. Also. Where the watch hook would have originally been has been plastered and repainted. One nick out of the paint on the black heel. A few stray marks, paint or? Otherwise, very nice with bright paint.
