He has has lots of"old world charm" with its wonderful handpainted and applied coloration and detail. 19c Meissen Porcelain Figurine Charming Young Boy Flower Basket 5 1/2" Tall
He measures 5 1/2" tall and weighs 7.54 ounces. The piece has had some very fine professional restoration on the staff and basket handle(see close up photos) After very careful examination with good magnifying glass and enlarged photos. The restoration appears to be on the wooden staff and basket handle hanging from the staff and possible the hand holding the staff as there is some glue showing between the fingers. Bottom is clearly marked with the Meissen blue crossed swords, impressed numeral 132, inscribed number 4 and the number 34 in brown color. Thanks for looking today! I'm in a bit of a quandry. As I can't figure out the maker of this piece. The lady I bought it from said it had belonged to her mother-in-law, and that she only had very fine things. It features a blond boy walking with his hat in the air, and a basket of flowers in one arm, while a goose honks up at him. The only marking is the L.E. 32 Italy on the bottom as shown in photo#2. It is a very large figure, at nearly 11" tall, and it has very fine craftsmanship. The length of the base is 7" I regret the chip on a green leaf as shown in photo#8, and also a chip an the front and bottom of the base. Those are the only faults I can find with this piece. The detail work is quite extraordinary, especially the blond textured hair. The flowers are quite lovely in the the Capodimonte style. It's 8 1/2" tall and has the numbers 1017 incised on the bottom. It's very detailed and the basket has a light pink glaze on the inside. The head has a professional repair on the neck and I feel that the basket has a couple spots on the top that have been ground. It's still a beautiful piece!

Antique Royal Dux Bohemia "E" Porcelian Boy with Basket Apple Figurine Figure
Recent Estate Find! I did some research online but I couldn't find this particular figurine but did come across this information: In 1900 the company first used the pink triangle mark with distinguished its product today- a rose coloured triangle made from pink porcelain with the inscription"Royal Dux Bohemia" around an acorn. Beneath this acorn is the letter"E" which stands for Elchler. Records show that this logo was trade marked in 1912 and continued to be used until the end of the 1940's when the"E" was replaced with a"D" 1860-World War I: The letter"E" appears in the center of the triangle beneath the acorn. As you can see by the photos it has this marking. Measurements can be seen in the photos. I did very little cleaning to the piece so you will need to clean it up from age ... moreand storage. Detailed Hand Painted Antique Figurine You are looking at a figurine of a boy holding a fish. By Ucagco of Japan. It appears to be made of porcelain or bisque or something similar. The figurine is about 8” tall, 4” wide, and 3” deep. This figurine is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. Especially considering the age. I don’t know the exact age, but I am thinking early 1900’s. It does not have any cracks, fixes, chips, or missing pieces that I could find. It is hand painted, and there is one little blop of green paint up by the boy’s collar, but it kind of adds to the uniqueness of being hand painted. Jaru was the copyright for art ware and figurines by Ja ck and Ru th Hirsch from California in the 1950's to the 1990's. This signed piece is from 1974. This little guy is wearing short pants and long sleeved jacket. A cap on his head, socks and tied shoes. His basket has a shoulder strap and his left hand is in his pocket. He totes a wicker basket full of apples that have a thick layer of gold paint. On his other arm he's carrying a little bag( this is also coated with a thick layer of gold paint. He's looking down at an apple he's holding in his right hand. There are also a couple apples at his feet. Adorable! The plaster piece is creamy white with darker accents and has a shiny finish. His head fits back on easily, but there are two small gaps at the neck and one larger chip. There is also a small chip on the brim of his cap and a larger chip on the bottom, back side of the base. Please note his head does fit more tightly onto the body, but I couldn't hold it in place and take a pic at the same time so the gaps appear a bit larger than they will be when repaired. He measures approx. 9.5” tall x 4.5” wide. Very intricate design! This little boy was purchased with a little girl that I also have listed. She has no damage whatsoever. They make a cute set!
