That is missing now. It is hardly visible hallmark'Crown N' in blue appears to be Societa Ceramica Richard. Milan, Italy, or Capodimonte Capo Di Monte collectibles are porcelain pieces that are highly colored and have a strong relief style. The history of Capo Di Monte porcelain collectibles starts with King Ferdinand IV. Son of King Charles, who opened his first Capo Di Monte porcelain factory in Naples Italy in 1771. They used the mark of the blue crown N(BCN) to designate their porcelain figurines. When the factory closed in 1834 it was the Ginori family of Doccia Italy who acquired and continued the tradition of Capo Di Monte collectibles ... morebearing the same mark. This second factory was closed in 1896 when Societa Ceramica Richard of Milan Italy took over manufacturing these fine porcelain figures but used a different mark, the mark shows a crest with wreaths under a blue crown with R. This auction is for a old/antique Dresden-type figurine grouping. It has 2 young women sitting in a field? with a lamb beside them. The piece is well marked on the bottom with Germany and crown. Etc. and#8343. I do not know the name of the company that made it. The figurine is about 8" long at base, 7 1/4" tall, and about 5" deep. There IS damage to the lace on the gowns-both on the skirts front and back and also on cuffs. The flowers also have some damage. Up for auction is a lovely. Antique, porcelain, figurine. It measures 7 inches high and 8 1/2 inches wide. This unusual figurine is of 3 Victorian girls, holding hands and dancing. Each is wearing a pink dress, with white porcelain lace and applied flowers. Each also has a different colored shirt waist. All are wearing ballet shoes. Please look carefully over each photo. There are several area's of damage to the lace. The worst of it can be seen in photo#5, where a large chunk of lace is missing. Some of the lace has tinges of light brown, which looks like it occurred due to age. If you look at the last photo, you'll see to old repairs; one to the thigh and one to the underside of the skirt. Fortunately, this can be seen when it's right side up. Despite the damage, this wonderful piece displays beautifully. I know! That is exactly what we said the first time we saw this. This piece has to be related to Dresden from a Vintage period. The name"Dresden" figurines is somewhat misleading when their true origin is considered. Even though they are called Dresden figurines. They were mostly manufactured in nearby Meissen. The figurines were then taken to Dresden to be sold, as Dresden was the capital city and the center of commerce and industry in Saxony. Dresden figurine history is therefore also Meissen history and vice versa. Measuring approximately 3 7/8- 4" tall x 2 7/8 wide on top of a concave clover ... moreshaped footed base of 1 3/8" x 1" in circumference. A delicate looking lady dressed in a frilly three tiered Dresden Lace white dress with pink bodice. Trimmed in Dresden lace around neck as well as the yellow rose anchoring the neckline and pink shoes. A rainbow of colors of roses hand applied throughout the flared skirt tiers as in yellow, pale blue and green petals. Two finger tips are missing on right hand which faces down and all others are present as well as on the upward facing left hand. What a sweet pose for this lovely figurine. It is difficult to determine missing pieces such as flowers or lace at times but I do believe a rose may be missing on the front of the skirt. Finishing the figurine is the gold embossing script like desisgn around the base. Markings(a blue crown) and(unknown) blue maker's mark with script"Germany Dresden" impressed number on figure: 1044 A" Made in Germany. To ensure the lasting beauty of Dresden and Dresden designs. A truly magnificent. Beautiful, hand painted Dresden ceramic Figurine. All Hand Painted WITH HAND LACED BORDERS around her head covering, sleeves and total neck covering. The beautiful face with her incredibly delicate fingers, she is sitting on a high-backed chair. Her legs are beautifully crossed as she is looking down to her cat and her cat is looking up at her. She has a blue half-boot shoe with a gold accent in the middle of it. The stand is 8 inches long and 6 1/2 inches wide with felt pieces all over the bottom, so no scratching of your glass or table. The photos do not really show the absolute beauty of this Dresden piece. Dresden Decorators Blue Crown was started in 1883 and was registered between the 4 most prominent ceramic decorators in the city of Dresden. I know this is a period piece, but cannot get the actual date of it but ... morepersonally know that it has been in the family for over 60 years. Up for your consideration is this lot of 3 Dresden ballerinas. They are all marked with a blue crown with an N underneath. They also have numbers impressed into the porcelain. They all stand right at 3 1/2" tall ~Lovely blue dressed ballerina is dancing with hands away. One of her fingers on her right hand is chipped. This is a very small chip She has some minor broken lace on front and back. She is marked with blue crown and N with the numbers 2011 ~Lovely ballerina in maroon corset also has hands away. Lace on bottom of her dress has a significant loss. The back of dress has 1 small area of lace chipped off. She is marked blue crown N and 2007 ~Ballerina in yellow corset has hands away. Antique Dresden Figurine Lady Gentleman Blue Crown porcelain very high quality
Up for your consideration is this fine example of delicate German Dresden porcelain. Lady sitting in a 18c Parisian Parlor waiting to dance being approached by a courting gentleman. Excellent detailing work with fantastic colors. Strong gilt details. With pink and white lace with pink roses. I can only find a small area of pink lace that is damaged(please look at the main photo and look to the lower left portion of her dress below and to the left of the bottom rose. Otherwise I see no damage to any of the other lace, or any of the remaining of this excellently detailed figurine. The gold gilt is still brilliant and the colors as can be seen are very vivid. This fine collectible came from the estate of a US Army Colonel who was stationed in Germany and the Far East for many of his service years. This is a very nice antique porcelain figurine of a boy with bagpipe& lambs. He measures about 4 1/2” tall x 1 5/8” across the bottom of his base. He has the Sitzendorf mark on the bottom~blue crown with stylized“S” Apon researching this mark. It states this was used on pieces from 1800 to 1849. I could find no cracks, chips or reglues~overall he looks to be mint. Bottom also has the embossed number“19” I know nothing more about this cute little piece, but he is Estate fresh!
