Rare Herend figurine"FAREWELL" signed by the artist Janos Pasztor(1881-1945) The Herend stamp on the base dates the piece ca. 1915-1930.This piece has been in my family since before WWll. I contacted Herend Hungary and they were able to confirm that this piece was actually hand signed by the artist at the Herend Porcelain Manufactory. Only a handful were produced that actually bear the artist's signature. The artist's original piece. That inspired Herend to produce the ones in porcelain, was carved from wood by Pasztor and is now on display at a museum in Budapest. I have included a photo of the original carving for reference.
