Antique 19thC Bisque German Porcelain Victorian Boy Soup Bowl Figurine Neustadt_ Hi there.circa late 1800s is a hard paste bisque porcealin German figurine. It depicts a little boy with a bowl in his lap. Spoon in his right hand, and a bib. This was hand painted on the front. The back was not painted as was the custom at the time. This comes from a Pennsylvania estate that we purchased and have more going up for auction shortly. Very nice condition. All original. It is numbered 2734 on the back. This is a very sweet and rare to find German bisque baby created by the Karl Schneider factory c1880-1910. He is one of the nicest I have had to sell. An adorable handpainted face! He is in excellent condition with no chips or repairs and measures just under 9 inches wide by 5 inches high. Marked on the bottom with impressed numbers of 10527, Germany and the Karl Schneider factory mark. He is a gorgeous baby for the collector! very fine and rare french or German pair of hand painted polychrome bisque figurines ca late 1870's to early 1880's in mint shape no chips or cracks. An amazing Conta& Boehme figural planter. Measuring approx. 9 inches in width, and 6 1/2 inches in height. The paint and gold detailing still remain in fabulous condition. I find no breaks or cracks. Inside the little yellow holder to the far right, I feel a rough spot inside, but the flower is unharmed, so I assume it's in the original making. Since its so detailed, I've made sure to look it over very carefully, as not to miss any damage. These girls are however in need of a bath. Marked the conta shield, and Germany. Antique Porcelain Bisque Figurine of a victorian boy dressed in period clothing. Holding a flower leaning on a fence. Late 19th century- Early 20th century. Actual date is unknown believed to be of German origin. The boy is standing on a porcelain pedestal painted to look like marble. Ornate design painted on his clothing. Bright rosy cheeks, a fence with shrubs. The detailed gold gilt is rubbed off in some places through out the statue and he could could use a bath. I did not clean him. There is a very small chip on his left shoulder and there are no cracks. The overall condition of this piece is very good especially considering his age. I took many photo's in high definition at every angle and left the photo's side way's for a larger more detailed look. He stands 16 1/4 inches Tall and is 4 1/2 inches at the base. Antique Victorian VOLKSTEDT LADY PUTTI Porcelain Plaque 19c German Bisque Figure This amazing high relief bisque plaque is attributed to Volkstedt German. Circa late 19th century. And features a classical maiden and her resting child. Made as part of a four seasons series. This one appears to be"A utumn" and has the mother and her child resting atop bales of hay. Excellent quality and attention to detail. One of the nicest plaques I have had the pleasure of listing. Approx. measurements of the plaque is 10 3/4" in diameter and approx. 2 1/2" deep. Excellent condition with minor age appropriate wear. The only thing I see that may be wrong, is the piec e she is holding in her hand. Is bit rough on bottom. From the photo of a similar one sold at Christie's(see note below) it looks like she is supposed to be holding a ... moresickle in her hand. It is not something you would not even notice unless you were looking at both plaques at same time. No other chips cracks or repairs. Colors are a bit brighter in photos than they are on actual plaque. Although unmarked. The plaque is definitely of German origin and most likely Volstedt. A complete set of 4 sold at auction at Christie's in 1998 for more than $4500 usd. The last photos is shown for reference only and shows the four plaques from Christie's. The pieces are marked on the back with a number which is typical of German manufacturing. There are no chips or cracks and are in very good condition. The woman has a pencil point black mark on her cheek. Which I have included in the last picture. I am sure it can be wiped clean but have left that up to the new owner. They are both dressed in blue clothing with pink accessories and gold shoes and accents. The gold dot design is raised. Like braille, and then painted gold. Rare Antique Victorian German Bisque Naughty Lady Man Fairing Figurine Figure
For auction is a rare to find German bisque figural fairing group of two women and a gentleman hiding under the ones hoop skirt! I have not seen this piece before and believe it to be quite rare. It was from the same collector as a very rare fairing I just listed as well. Dates mid to late 1800s and appears to be in very good condition with some light wear and the lady in blue I believe had an umbrella at one time as there is a hole in her one hand. The ends of the ribbons on her bonnet have broken on the ends and there metal under the skirt has wear. These are minor in my opinion considering the age and rarity of this piece. I have for your consideration this Bisque/porcelain german girl figurine in one hand holding a fan and the other holding a handkerchief. she has beautiful soft colors of yellow. Purple, pink and blue to name a few. she stands 10-5/8 inches tall and need a gentle cleaning of light dirt/dust that has settled on her throughout the years. she was acquired from a old German home in Buffalo with other antiques I have listed. the underside inner base has a slight separation in the mold as I would assume done in the manufacturing process and is hardly unnoticeable as shown in picture. there is a initial RBF with the date 1845 on the underside. this is a very old piece and in very good condition and well kept through out the years any questions please feel free to email me. Antique Victorian era mantel shelf spill vase and match holder of bisque porcelain. 11 1/2" tall. 5" across the base and 3" deep at the base. The back is impressed"9986 GERMANY" It is also marked with the DEP mark and a manufacturer's mark that looks like an overlay of G and I or H. This is one of those whimsical pieces that appealed to the Victorian taste- a young boy with a gathering basket looks down to the base of a ladder at an excited little dog. Except for a few accents of metallic gold, the only painted portion is the boy and his basket, the ladder and dog are unpainted matte white. There is a narrow opening on the back of the ladder that could hold spills and the basket would be an ideal place for matches- they would look like gathered wood ... moreand could probably be struck against the textured exterior of the basket. At some point in time, the basket was broken off of the piece and has been glued back in place. From the front side, it looks in perfect condition and is only noticeable if you know where to look. From the back, you will notice the broken line of separation on the boy's back and at the top corner of the basket. Here's a very nice antique bisque pug dog figurine with cold painted face. Eyes and tail and gilt ribbon and tassels. There is also a faint tan wash over the back of the dog's body. The figurine measures about 6 inches tall and 4 inches long by 2¾ inches wide at the base. This piece is in nice condition with the exception of a shallow chip at the inside edge of the dog's right ear which is visible mainly from underneath. Otherwise. She is very large over 10" high and in fine condition with NO chips. NO cracks and NO repairs. There are some scuffs from age being over 100 years old to be expected and the usual tiny firing flaws done in the manufacturing. There is no marking on the bottom. I dusted her off, but she could use a little more careful cleaning. She has wind blown blonde hair. Perfectly painted intaglio blue eyes and pink lips on her smiling open/closed with molded teeth. Perky ... moreupturned nose, dimples in her blushed cheeks and chin and delicately painted brows. The modeling on these babies is amazing with life like creases in the palms. Pudgy arms and chubby legs and knees. Her pale yellow dress has a low neckline with pale lavender ruffles around the shoulders with big blue bows on each side. Lavender ruffles on sleeves and hem as well and tiny raised gold dots overall on the dress. Her hands are beautifully articulated with raised fore and little fingers. She is holding a bunch of cherries in her right hand. These wonderful figurines were once set on pianos during the Victorian era in the 1800s for decoration and perhaps for the ladies to hang their silk scarves or hankies on while they played and entertained their guests. These babies are treasured by collectors and especially desired in this very large size in such wonderful condition. I know you won't be disappointed. I will be adding more figurines so please check back. This is a lovely hand painted bisque porcelain figurine of a pretty Victorian girl holding her doll. The young lady had wavy blonde hair and blue eyes. She is very well formed right down to the dimples in her elbows. She is wearing a pink dress and pink shoes. Her doll is wearing a very long light blue gown. and a tan cap. This is a beautiful display. The only damage is a piece of the base had been broken and there is a sliver missing on the side, please enlarge all photos for details. There are also a couple of chips to base but not very noticeable. She is heavy for her size and measures almost 11" high. The only marking is a hand painted mark that may be 55. This is a wonderful marked pair of German bisque Heubach figures. A sweet brother and sister! The boy is more seen in this model however the sister, very rarely and especially a matching size pair! Victorian German Bisque Heubach Piano Baby Child Doll Antique Figurine Figure
This is a gorgeous hard to find beautiful German bisque baby wearing a bathing cap created by the Heubach factory c1890. he is so sweet with his arms over his knees and beautiful rosy cheeks and lips! He is a nice size at approximately 7 inches high by 5 inches wide. The condition is excellent. I see no chips. Repairs, restorations. There is a small firing flaw on his one arm in the back that looks like a little dent or scrape in the porcelain which occurred in the making. He is marked on the bottom with painted numbers and I think impressed numbers as well. This is a gorgeous large bisque sweet baby girl in her pink bonnet created by the Gerbruder Heubach factory circa 1890-1910. She is a rare large size to find at approximately 9 1/4 inches high by almost 6 inches wide and is fairly heavy weighted. Her condition I would consider excellent/very good. I see no chips. Repairs, restorations at all. Only flaws to mention are some stress lines on the back bottom base of her which occur sometimes over age in early bisque/porcelain pieces. She is marked on the bottom with numbers and the Gerbruder Heubach sunrise impressed mark. This is a wonderful rare pair of bisque figures created by the Gerbruder Heubach factory of Germany c1890-1910. They are at the sea. The boy has a fish and the girl is carrying her shoes as she stands at the oceans edge. They measure approximately 11 inches high and are both marked with the sunrise marking. The girl is in excellent condition. Just three tiny nibbles on the bottom edge of her base. The boy has had his head professionally restored at the neck. It was a good job and so it is hard to notice on display. A few small nibbles at the very rim of his base and I see a tiny bit of paint on his pinky finger. As you can see. Their outfits are decorated with gold accents& ... moredesigns on pinks. White and tan cream colors. One figurine has a nodding front to back head as well as hands that move up and down. The other figurine holds a large fan behind his head and his head nodds from side to side. His hair is up on top of the head in a braid. The set is in good pre owned condition. They have no chips or cracks but the weights that move the heads and hands have been replaced or repaired. I have shown the inside of each to see the inside of the weights. This does not effect the outside and can only be seen from the interior. The Nodder with Fan measures 6 1/8" tall, 5 3/4" long and 5 1/2" deep. The Nodder with Moving Hands measures 6" tall, 5 1/2" long and 6" deep. This is a unique and beautiful set to add to a collection or display. Antique Victorian German Bisque Piano Baby Figurines 9" RESERVED FOR BETELRED
This pair have been together for a long time and I can't bear to see them separated. They are unmarked but have all the signs of original German piano babies. The iris's of the eyes are indented. They have dimples and molded teeth, fingernails, knuckles, and they have small blow holes. The porcelain is very smooth but the kids could use a bath! The girl has a scratch mark on her leg(pic#11) and I can't tell if it might be a pencil mark or what but it isn't a crack. All fingers are present and accounted for and there are no chips, cracks, or noticeable defects. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to assist you.
