This is a very nice piece of German porcelain made by Unger Schneider in the late 19th century. C. 1880. It features a young man reclining on a chair. The colors a quiet lovely, pinks, greens and golds. There is some slight wear to the gilding, especially to the tips of his shoes. There is no damage. The piece is well marked. It stands 5 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches deep.

Antique Unger Schneider large boy with dove figurine German 1875
This figurine is a boy with a dove at his feet. The figurine is 14 ¼ inches tall. The boy is in 18 th century dress. It is done with very good detail especially when viewing the fingers. The hair and the dove. The figurine has a glossy glaze on the boy and the dove. The remainder of the figurine is matte. The figurine has an impressed mark on the back with two lines through a C or G. We believe the mark is that used by Unger Schneider& Cie from 1875 to 1879. The number 7219 is under the mark. The figurine is in very good condition with the only damage being to the wing and tail of the dove. There is a small firing crack on the bottom. There is wear to the gilding.

The well-decorated home had a shawl on the piano. Bisque figures of babies were designed to help hold the shawl in place. They range in size from 6 to 18 inches. Most of the figures were made in Germany. Absolutely beautiful porcelain figurine made by Unger Schneider between 1879-1886 in Germany. Amazing detail and color. The book is even accented with GOLD. Other than the tips of 2 fingers missing on her right hand she is in excellent condition. Marking of"G DEP 11106 Germany" on back of stool. I also left an old sticker on her that reads"figurine German $27.50. 09 M9" which can easily be removed since it is barely sticking anymore. She measures approx. 6 1/4" tall. 2 1/2" wide, and 4" deep( from tip of toe to back of stool) She is lovely with blushed cheeks. And colors of soft yellows and pinks.
