This is a pair of colonial or victorian boy and girl porcelain figurines. Each is handpainted and has beautiful ruffled edges on their clothing made of porcelain and accented in gold gilt. They each still have their foil stickers. Each are approximately 4 inches tall. 3 1/2 inches wide. Both in excellent condition with just a few minor chips to the ruffled edges which isn't really noticable and they are a little dusty. The figurine stands approximately 7" tall and is 4.5" X 3.5" at the base. The condition of the figurine is very good considering its age. Outside of the few small black dots. A crack on the bottom of the base and some losses of the golden paint there are no other defects that I could identify. There is a stamp on the base right above the crack, but the maker is unknown to me. The crack on the base is most likely a result of a manufacturing defect and the age of the figurine. Antique Figurine Wearing Colonial Style Clothing
This Antique Figurine used to have a flask on the top as an oil lamp. It no longer does. I am unaware of the age of this piece. I can recall my grandmother owning this back in the 50's. I just remember seeing it in her house during the 50's. But I don't know how long she had owned it prior to that. There are no marking on the bottom of the piece so I do not know the origin and it appears to be made of porcelain. I'm sorry I don't have any other information to provide, but if you have any questions I will try my best to answer them.

Antique Colonial Styled Musical Pair of Porcelain Figures w/ Mandolin & Flute
This colonial pair of minstrels- lady playing lute and man playing flute are beautifully detailed with hands and even seperate thumbs(especially pic#5) The handpainted clothing and faces are wonderfully detailed. Please see all 12 pictures to see the quality of the molding of this pair. The bottoms are solid and each figure is heavy weighing 6 oz. each. They each were hand incised on this solid bottom base I and 1375 with a stamped imprint of 48 on the bottom of the lady and 62 on the lord's base(see pic.3. 9, 10) A repair has been made to the lady's arm holding the neck of the fiddle at the ruffle as is clear on multiple pictures(see 8, 10& 11) Also the tip end of the flute is missing. This is a beautiful figurine depicting a sitting couple in traditional Colonial attire. The woman's dress and man's shirt are trimmed with lace like porcelain. The figure is white with a lustre glaze. There are applied rose decorations that I am having a hard time determining if they are some sort of decal or are hand painted. They are very perfect. The face details are painted. They are in good condition for age. The gilt has worn off in areas and there is a crack along the seam where the man's leg connects to where he is seated. This may have very well have happened during firing. There is also a crack on the base near the air hole that may be a firing flaw.
