Antique Bisque Figurines BOY& GIRL by CARL SCHNEIDER Late 19th Century Germany Up for bid is a pair of antique German bisque porcelain figurines made by the Carl Schneider porcelain factory. One is a boy wearing a Swiss Alpine style hat and back pack. He carries a walking stick in one hand. The other is a little girl with a big bow in her hair. She has long braids down her back and she wears an old fashioned pinafore over her pleated skirt. The fronts of the figures were hand painted; the backs remain plain white. On each figure. The backs of the shoes are marked(impressed) One foot reads: GERMANY and includes the marking of a C with two arrows running through it. The word DEP follows. The other foot/shoe reads with a number code 10644 along with a number 15 and the word GERMANY. ... moreThe marks on theses pieces identify the maker as the Carl Schneider factory and I believe the format dates the pair from some time in the late 19th century(circa 1879 to 1886) Note: the word DEP indicates the piece was Registered. This practice did not start until the year 1879. Both pieces measures approx 8" high. The girl is slightly less and closer to 7 7/8" tall. Condition: Unfortunately the boy has a bit of damage. The upper end of his walking stick has broken off right were it extends from his hand. One has to look closely to notice this. And it is really more noticeable to touch(as it is a little sharper than normal) rather than to the eye. There are no other chips, and NO cracks. There are NO repairs. All the nice detail in bow and hat show no damage. There is obvious color wear, with much of the paint on front being worn off. Finally, when looking very closely at boy's nose one may notice a slight irregularity- this is from when the piece was made and is not damage or wear. Really a charming old pair for those who love Victorian porcelain figures. They may also hold interest to doll collectors as Schneider is a well known maker of dolls and piano ba

This is Kentucky Estate#2.This is a fine 19th C. German Porcelain Lady statue from this fine old Kentucky Farm Estate Sale. This antique figurine is quite a beauty. Fully marked with a blue Under-Glaze letter"T" over crossed lines on the base as pictured, I will attribute this piece to the Carl Thieme Porcelain Factory of Germany. Also, in my opinion, I will date this statue from the mid to the late 19th C. 1860's-1880's) Measures approximately 7.5' in height, about 3.5' in width. Impressed Numbers 004 on base as well. The condition is not perfect. The back tip edge of her orange bonnet has a small flake, her right arm has been reattached, and her right ... moreindex finger is missing a tiny piece as pictured. Not perfect, but still quite a find. The facial expression is quite nice, her delicate floral bouquet in her left hand is fine. The sweet little sheep at her feet is just adorable. C1890, measures approx 5" front to back and weighs 6 oz. The piece is impressed on the bottom with the Carl Schneider mark and the number 7208. This figure was produced by Carl Schneider, one of the major German piano baby makers during the Victorian era. He is in good condition for age with all toes and fingers accounted for. I find no major chips or repairs that I can see. Antique Porcelain Victorian Woman & Carriage 1886 Germany Carl Schneider
This auction is for a wonderful Antique Carl Schneider porcelain Woman with a Horse and Carriage. The company was founded in 1859. From the colors used and the markings. I believe this was made about 1886. On the bottom is the Carl Schneider stamp of a crown with the letters H G and the year 1859. This figure is a nice size, measures 9" L x 7" H x 6" deep. No chips or cracks. Very nice detail on this. Unfortunately the thin reign thread is no longer tied to the driver but probably could be repaired. Otherwise Excellent condition.

Also small knick/chip on top front underside of basket rim near kitten and kitten's ear tips flea knicked. I can find no other areas to note. The piece is stamped/numbered 13164, and has the proper mark to indicate Grafenthal between 1879- 1886. This is an original matching pair of Victorian era. Hand-painted bisque porcelain busts of a girl and a cavalier boy that is circa 1880's- 90's. This pair of charming bisque figures are unmarked. Judging from the technique, colors, and quality of this small busts I would say that they could have easily have been made by the GEBRUDER HEUBACH factory in Germany, but you can be the judge of that yourself. These delicately modeled antique bisque figurines features a elegant Victorian girl in a beautiful bonnet and handsome young Cavalier. Both are done in a bright jewel like pastel colors. This is a wonderful antique porcelain figurine of a boy feeding deer by Carl Scheidig. The mark on the bottom was used between 1935- 1972 for Porzellanfabrik. Carl Scheidig K.G. thuringia/graefenthal. It is a lovely nude boy hand feeding two young deer. The deer are glazed in a brown with delicate spots on their backs and the rest of the figure is glazed clear over the porcelain. This figurine is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. For purchase is the Carl Thieme Dresden large 16" in height base 8" in diameter monkey with apple in hand sitting on tree stump decoarated with flowers. In excellent condition other than the yellow flower has a minor chip on the petal and appears to be missing 2 petals. Face is greatly detailed with eyelashes. I can see no damage at all on this charming piece. It measures 5" tall and 8" wide. Depicting a pretty Victorian young girl holding a butterfly net with her eyes on a yellow butterfly. Fully marked and wonderful! Hard to find these old Carl Schneider german bisque figurines. This darling baby in the pram is in excellent condition. Dates to the late 1800's to the early 1900's.
