Antique BERNHARD BLOCH or Johann Maresch HUGE FIGURAL BAR SCENE Figure AUSTRIAN Offered for sale is this HUGE. Antique and presumably Austrian figure of a bar scene. It is most likely a Johann Maresch or Bernhard Bloch piece. The only legible marks are an"O" and some impressed numbers, but looks and feels like some Bloch humidors I've sold in the past. The woman's head comes off and is attached by a wood peg- I think was made this way so her head, that leans far forward over the table, would not get damaged during firing. SIZE: It's a large piece. It weighs just under 20 pounds(9 Kg) The base is approximately 17.5 inches long. And approximately 9.75 inches wide. The figure is just under 21 inches tall. CONDITION: There is an old repair to one of the corner feet of the base. There are a few small nicks on the sharp edges ... moreof the base. There is a nick on the spout of the pitcher on the table. There is scattered paint loss and rubs- although I think some of the piece(for example the man's jacket) is intentionally looking weathered. Her head should be permanently attached- it was glued in place at one point. There is a nick to her hair above her right ear. Please see the close up pictures. MARKS: There is an impressed"O" or circle and impressed"1227" on the bottom as shown. There are some other faint marks under the paint on the bottom but I can't decipher them. Superb Antique Ernst Wahliss Teplitz Austrian Spill Vase This amazing figural vase of an old woman carrying a basket and wheel of bread is crafted with amazing detail. Done probably around the turn of the century. It is embossed Made in Austria 4532 as well as I assume the decorators mark 4532I 409. 2. in green paint. Simply stunning she is very carefully hand painted with much attention to detail and accented in a gold wash that is quite eye-catching. From the buttons right down to the hem of her apron with its beautiful watercolor like flowers; this piece is all quality! I believe this piece probably had a paper label at one time as there are remnants of a sticker on the underside. In doing some research I learned that the company did use a paper label. This has the look of Royal Dux but I believe it more likely Wahliss after comparing ... morehow the underside looks with the impressed marks and painted numbers to other known pieces of Wahliss Teplitz that are marked with a stamp. In nice vintage condition with no breaks or cracks save for one break to the handle of her basket. Probably done when someone was trying to remove a match and got a bit too rough(see pic) it really doesn’t detract for the aesthetics of the piece and if it were filled you would likely not even notice. The item has a little surface grim but I will let the next own choose how best to clean. This item is quite heavy for its size and measures about 8.5” tall The base is 4” wide Nice example from a quality maker! You will not be disappointed! Antique MICE IN BOOT FIGURINE POTTERY Austrian or Japan Okimono Sumida Banko Offered for sale is this lovely antique terracotta or pottery figuine of 2 mice in a old boot. It have seen this same design as an Austrian bronze. And I've seen Japanese ceramic versions, but this one seems to be more detailed/better quality than the others I've come across. I think it is likely Austrian rather than Japanese but I am not 100% sure. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures. SIZE: It is approximately 3.5 inches long. And just under 2 inches tall. CONDITION: The figurine is in excellent condition. There are no chips. No cracks, no repairs. There are some tiny rubs. Please see the close up pictures. MARKS: Unmarked. The bust measures 9" high and is mounted on a thin wood base. On the base it measures 10 1/4 high. The pretty maiden is dressed in a belle epoque style with large fancy feathered hat with puffy ruffled sleeves. At her bust line is a large ribbon which rests on the base of the bust. The bottom of the bust is decorated with raised petals. Her face is very pretty and typical of the Teplitz Art Nouveau busts. The sculpture is in very good condition with the exception of a tiny tip of the fringe of her bang has a chip and three of the raised petals on the base have chips on the ends. This unique and stunning ceramic figurine was brought to the USA just after World War 1 by a relative who was an Austrian-Czech native. That is all we know about it. It has hallmarks but we cannot discover their origins. The dimensions are about 3 1/4 inches high(9 cm) The book is about 2 inches x 1 1/ inches(5cm x 4cm) We are also selling a similar figurine in a separate auction.

It dates from the late 19th to early 20th century and is in overall good to fair restored condition. There are several spots of restoration including much of the front right leg and back left leg and paw. There seems to be restorations and overpaint to the hat brim as well. There is a hole in his bow tie(probably from a bubble in the kiln) Otherwise. There are nicks, flakes, and scratches(some are deeper than others) small spots of paint loss, and other signs of wear consistent with age. Measurements: Height: 15 1/2 in. Width: 7 in. Wonderful signed Bernard Bloch terracotta bust of a boy. He stands 15" tall and 9" wide at the shoulders. Excellent condition with only minor glaze chips& rubs. 1 very small chip on inside of bottom rim. Fully signed with the BB mark and 4049 mold numbers. I can't read the writing above the BB but it is pictured pretty clearly if anyone can help. Please check pictures as they are an integral part of the description. Antique Ernst Wahliss Teplitz Austrian Royal Worcester spil Vase Austrian Figure
Superb Antique Ernst Wahliss Teplitz or Royal Worcester? Austrian Spill Vase This amazing figural vase of an old woman carrying a basket and wheel of bread is crafted with amazing detail. Done probably around the turn of the century. It is embossed Made in Austria 4532 as well as I assume the decorators mark 4532I 409. 2. in green paint. Simply stunning she is very carefully hand painted with much attention to detail and accented in a gold wash that is quite eye-catching. From the buttons right down to the hem of her apron with its beautiful watercolor like flowers; this piece is all quality! I believe this piece probably had a paper label at one time as there are remnants of a sticker on the underside. In doing some research I learned that the company did use a paper label. This has the look of Antique Royal Worcester or Royal Dux but I ... morebelieve it more likely Wahliss after comparing how the underside looks with the impressed marks and painted numbers to other known pieces of Wahliss Teplitz that are marked with a stamp. Regardless of what house made it. It is a well made quality piece that displays beautifully! In nice vintage condition with no breaks or cracks save for one break to the handle of her basket. Probably done when someone was trying to remove a match and got a bit too rough(see pic) it really doesn’t detract for the aesthetics of the piece and if it were filled you would likely not even notice. The item has a little surface grim but I will let the next own choose how best to clean. This item is quite heavy for its size and measures about 8.5” tall The base is 4” wide Nice example from a quality maker! You will not be disappointed!
