This is a nice pair of North and Judd anchor marked spurs with the heart shaped strap buttons. It looks like they have been used very little and show scattered spots of rust that show through the finish. These have been in the family for about 45 years and during that time they have always had the spur straps shown in the pictures. One buckle strap is missing from the right spur. NICE 19TH CENTURY NAVAL TIN CANDLE LANTERN WITH ANCHOR MARKINGS
Description Here is a nice 19th century naval tin candle lantern in good original condition. The tin surface has a nice smooth dark patina from age with anchor markings. All four of the glass panes are in good condition and the door opens and closes nicely with a brass catch. The nicely shaped roof has a loop handle. Confederate Naval Cutlass short sword - CSN and Anchor markings on brass handle.
Confederate Naval Cutlass short sword with'CSN' on one side and the fouled anchor motif on the other. Feathering/scale decoration on the grip, and a large shell counter-guard. No scabbard. The 20 inch blade shows some very minimal pitting and a dark patina as to be expected but no nicks or damage. The blade is slightly loose from the grip but is still fully anchored. I do not know the history or date of manufacture of this sword. As I bought it at an estate sale in Connecticut around 15 years ago, so I’m selling it as is. From researching similar swords, they were made by several manufacturers such as Griswold of New Orleans and the Ames Manufacturing Company out of Massachusetts and were patterned after the 1841 US Naval Cutlass.
