Antique 1920's 2 Bisque Porcelain Figurines Little Girls Children 3 1/2"
This is one of several antique and extreme vintage smalls and miniatures that we bought this week at an estate sale. All of them were displayed in a large shadow box and they looked great. Take a look at them all and if.or when.you find more than one you love. I'll happily combine shipping. It may take about four days to list them all, so if you buy one and need to wait for an auction to end before payment, drop me a line. These two cuties remind me a lot of the Campbell Soup Kids. Both are little girls with chubby cheeks and period dress of the early 1920's. They both have paint loss due to age. There is an area that looks like a mold chip on the back of the green dress girl's hair. But if you look close, you can see where it was painted on with the original paint. Both are marked Made in Japan on their backs.

Sold as one lot of two. From estate. I am not totally sure these items originally went together because the baby does not have a very snug fit. But on the other hand the shoes look very similar. In any event, original combo or not, they do look great together. The larger of the two is about 1 3/4 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches tall. The baby is about 1 1/4 inches tall. Both are in excellent condition with no damage or repair. The baby only is marked Germany on the bottom. It is 4 1/4" wide x 5 1/2" high, and is in great condition, just the tips of some of the fingers are missing. This is a beautiful pair of 16" tall antique Continental and most likely French figurines of a well dressed couple from the late 19th century. Quality and detail is exquisite. Very lifelike expressions on faces and raised intricate beading and decoration details throughout their elaborate dress from head to toe. Not being able to locate a mark at all would date them to earlier than 1892. They do resemble the work of VION& BAURY of Paris especially with the detail on the bases with the very sharp maroon design of C scrolls. She is missing two fingers on one right hand and on the other is good.PLEASE LOOK PICTURES NUMBER 13.Amazingly enough, these don't jump out as missing due to the positioning of her hands.The man also looks to have possibly been holding something else in addition to the bowl he is holding. This is an unusual figure. It looks to be red riding hood- but with a blue cloak. She carries a basket on one arm and holds the other to her mouth in puzzlement. At the back of the figure right under the skirts is a brown wolf. There is damage at the base as shown mostly it does have a lot of paint loss. 3.5" tall. No makers marks noted. Bisque very dense with painted details. condition is poor especially on the paint. There is a good deal of paint loss there is some chipping at the base and soiling. This is a lovely Antique Pair of Porcelain Bisque Baroque Figural 2 Way Candelabras. They can be 3 cup candelabras or one candle candlesticks. They each stand 13.5" tall with the 3 Arm candelabra insert and as candlesticks they each stand 9.5" tall. The 3 arm candelabra insert is 4.6" and 7" wide with a cork liner. The figures are each 7" tall and sit on a 4.5" x 4" base. They are hand painted in pastel colors of pink. Blue, green and yellow with gold embellishment. They are in excellent condition with only one petal missing on a flower at the bottom corner of the insert which can be turned around to the back. The older sister has long curly blonde hair that is tied up in the back with blue ribbon. Her nightgown is trimmed with blue and her socks are blue stripe. She holds a pigeon. They are two little girls in nightgowns. The children are beautifully sculpted and painted– they each have deeply sculpted hair; one child has light brown long hair tied up with yellow ribbon. The other child has shorter, curly brownish red hair. The eyes have molded lids; the parted lips show teeth and the facial features are beautifully painted. The girl with pink flowers on her nighty holds a dog in the skirt. The girl with blue flowers holds two kittens in her skirt. She does have some light scuffs on the tips and edges of her hands and feet. The top of the pear she is holding is supposed to have a green stem, it has been chipped off and is missing. This is hard to see and not visible unless you look from behind looking down her front. This is extremely minor and does not effect the appearance at all. It is a baby girl wearing an ornate yellow and blue lace gown with raised gold beading and pink ribbons on each shoulder. The girl is also holding a piece of fruit, a pear. She has a very detailed face with great color. The figurine is not marked, I believe it is French or German bisque porcelain, late 1800's.
