The table features gold embossed detailing, three little decorative drawers with solid brass pulls, and the Maitland Smith brass plate inside the center drawer. This table is a demilune with the option of opening the top to reveal a 30" diameter round surface. The back two legs swing at approximately a 45 degree angle to support the top when open. We are pleased to offer this vintage(1990s) Maitland Smith. Greyhound/Whippet coffee/accent or end table. THIS RARE DESIGN, AND HARD TO FIND, 4 DOG TABLE features 4 large and extremely detailed bronzed, hollow cast, dogs seated regally upon an interesting, brilliant brass base. The dogs are finished in black which provides an excellent contrast with the brilliant base. This design is generally found in its smaller, 3 dog, companion version. The table is in very good condition with some expected"age spots" on the brass base. I have not tried to polish them as I like the aged character they add to this piece. The listing is for one table, but I do have an identical table available if you are looking for a pair. Mid Century Stone Brass & Glass Kidney Side / Coffee Tables - Maitland Smith
Offered for your consideration is this pair of 1970s/80s tessellated stone or marble and brass tables. The kidney form lends itself to making these pieces extremely versatile. Resulting in several possible configurations. Use them as side tables, combine them in a yin/yang pattern to create a larger surface area for use as a"coffee table" or use the large, thick glass to turn one into a coffee table proper. The marble or stone has somewhat of a pinkish hue that was difficult to capture in my photos. It is VERY unusual to find a Maitland piece that functions for both Chess and Backgammon that is in this quality of condition. We are pleased to offer this beautiful vintage table. This fabulous table is superbly crafted of brass with an antiqued brass finish. The table has strong French Rococo or Louis XV influence and details. The table features dimensional scrolled designs on the scalloped top. The legs have dimensional acanthus leaf detail which has a"feathered" appearance. The detailing on the legs carries over into their inside profiles. The tops of the legs have a beautiful incised pattern and they curve outward from the table top. The legs attach to rounded. Bun/ball feet. They are supported by a center circular stretcher. The table is designed for a glass top but it is chipped and we are not including the glass. Because of its size, it will be inexpensive to replace. This is a very high end table. There is a faded sticker on the bottom but the ... morelettering is not present. This listing is for all three tables. These are three very chic Maitland Smith Tessellated Marble Tables featuring a lovely mosaic pattern of neutral colors and wonderful designs. These tables have a beveled rim with highlighted gold accents on the top. The coffee table is 40 x 40 x 15 high. Round one is 19 wide and 25 high, and the rectangle one is 22 x 27 x 21 high. Tessellated Bone Console Table In The Manner of Karl Springer Maitland Smith
Stunning tessellated console in the manner of Karl Springer. Gorgeous ivory colored and heavily lacquered bone top. With thick 3/4" glass legs, which are held together by two large brass discs on both sides. I am not sure if the bone is real or faux, but it looks great.The discs unscrew, so the legs can come off easily, making transportation much easier. The glass legs are near mint. The brass discs have a rich, warm patina, but could be polished if desired. The body of the console is in excellent condition, with only very faint hairline marks in the lacquer finish that are only faintly visible in a certain light. There is one little ding that measures 1/4" in the front center, slightly right. Due to the tessellated nature, it is not immediately noticeable. Overall, this console looks pretty close to new. Beautiful console table by Maitland and Smith. Tusk shaped base of cream colored stone and upper is stingray in a mauve/taupe gray. Some cracking in the stingray(see photo) only noticeable close. It is made of brass with a fixed"tray" top which is recessed and accented with a pierce brass rim. There are 3 legs with roaring lion heads at the top of each. The feet are lion paw fashioned. A simple, circular brass ring stretcher attaches to each leg for support. The table retains the"Maitland Smith, Made in Hong Kong" sticker. It is in very good condition with some evidence of use. The table top has swirls where it has been cleaned over the years. There are a couple of scratches on the top that have gone through the brass surface.
