It has slight cabriole curved legs and pad feet. There are a lot of scuffs nd light surface scratches to the finish from general use. I am unsure of the age or manufacture of the table. It has a leather top, with a stamped design around the outer perimeter, and some of this design has gold leaf as well. The table has one drawer, with dove tail joints. The table looks like it was repaired at a couple of the corners underneath.

D E S C R I P T I O N: Stunning vintage finely crafted‘flaming’ mahogany revolving table. Widely known as the“drum table” during the 18 th century. It was created by English designer Thomas Sheraton. He fashioned the table after the form of a military drum. The drawer comes from the English“rent” table. A rent table was a round table with seven drawers that belonged to a landlord. Renters deposited their rent in the drawer marked for the day of the week their rent was due. Often times these tables are found with just two drawers. While the rest are dummy drawers. These tables are some of the most elegant tables that were made. Many of these tables have false drawers, but you would never know it. This table is in great condition. Solid and very sturdy, outstanding wood grain, original leather top with gold tooling also in great condition, ... moreno scratches, no damage to the leather, minimum sings of age. Up for bid are 2 Matching. Very Unique Stacked BOOK End Tables. I believe they are Mahogany. Bottoms are Engraved with the Numbers 9228 and had written 158& 16 with chalk. See Last Picture. The Book Tops& Drawer Fronts are Inlayed with Leather. The Tops Look like two OLD Leather Books stacked on top of each other with Beautiful Gold Design. They each have large drawers.
