It's very heavy and beautifully carved with tusks up the legs and around the top, and the legs resemble trunks. It isn't flawless and has wear from age and use including a chip at the top of one of the legs as shown in pictures 8, 9, and 11. There are some red stains, perhaps can be removed but we didn't try in order not to compromise the finish on the wood; I noticed them when looking close. The most noticeable spot of red can be seen by zooming in on picture 7. Although it's in good condition, you might want to glue and tighten up some of the seams. It is 17-1/2" in height x 13" across the top x 16" across the legs. It weighs a glorious 19 lbs. 3 Mid Century Vintage Danish Made in Denmark Solid Rosewood Stacking Tables
This auction is for a set of 3 Vintage Solid Rosewood Danish Stacking Tables. The largest one measures approx. 23 3/4" by 14 7/8" and stands approx. 19" high. The middle one is approx. 20 3/8" by 13 1/2" and stands 18" high. The smallest is approx. 17" by 11 1/16" and is approx. 17" high. They have sturdy legs and there are no splits. Cracks, shrunken seams or repairs. The surfaces are very good but do show minor signs of age and wear. I have not applied any oil or other enhancements to them in any way. They are as originally found and for their age I would say they are quite good. The only mark is an impressed stamp, Made in Denmark, see photos. Up for bids is a very unique set of 3 1950's Hand Carved Black Forest tables. You are getting a rectangle coffeee table and 2 end tables. The coffee table measures 18 3/4 tall by 55 inches long and 22 inches wide. There is some slight wear on the top around the outside of the inlaid carvings. It appears to be either fading or some slight water damage. Nothing in our opinion that cannot be repaired. The metal table edging does have sone scrapes and a small crack. The inside carved area is in perfect condition.The 2 end tables are 2 tier and they measure 20 inches wide by 26 1/2 long by 26 inches tall. Each table has a crack in the glass where the upper tier braces connect to the bottom. One crack is all the way across and the other is just an inch or so. Two very nice solid maple nightstands or could be used has end tables if put back to wall. The wood is in great shape for age. The finish needs some touch up or use as is with aged patina and character. These nightstands were made by the forest furniture company which I believe went out of business. The inside drawer is marked Forest solid maple as seen in the pics on one of the nightstands. The drawers are dove tailed on the front and back. Tables show the signature Jalk conical legs and fasteners but what sets these apart is the inverted tops. Unusually the bulldozed edge is on the top surface whereas on this pair they are on the bottom. This appears to be original and there are no signs of the tops being flipped and the veneer grain on the underside is in fact mahogany indicating it was meant to be on the bottom. This auction is for a very nice set of"Butterfly" pattern"Biltmore" stacking tables. 6 tables in all. Made in Mid 1950ies by Biltmore Manufacturing of Miami 47. Florida. They are all in near excellent condition. One table leg as seen in picture has been glued back in place. Very nice clean repair on the leg. Height of tables is 17 inches. Each side of the tables measures 22 inches. Legs are made of aluminum. Legs screw on the table. Aluminum{gold colored} edging on tables Missing about 10 floor glides. For being any age these tables show very light wear. For shipping purposes I will remove the legs. They easily screw off and back on. They also have a nice feature. This is a great matching pair of original mid-century modern side tables with iron hairpin legs. The tops are formica in a speckled print in gold. Cream and bronze. The table legs are wearing original bronze paint. These tables are sturdy and in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. There is some minor chipping of the paint on the legs and a small bit of rust on the bottom of the feet but this in no way takes from the awesomeness of these tables.
