Beautiful antique c1899 German bisque piano doll- Blowing Kisses- It is 11.5cm(4.5" tall finely modeled with wonderful details. The doll is in very very good condition as you can see by the photos. In the 5th 7th& 8th photo you can see there's an indent in the shoulder which is quite common in early bisque pieces as there was often firing flaws. In the 8th photo I have tried to show a mark in the groin. The little black spots are paint which. I have not tried to remove. There is a photo of the markings however I do not know what they mean. I have tried to explain the faults if you need any more information please email me. Is dressed in winter clothes and has her pocket puppy wrapped in a warm cuff. I've seen this figural before(I've been collecting, hunting, trading and buying for over 30 years) and I can assure you that this is European production, German or Dutch origin, late 19th century to early 20th century and handpainted. This auction is for antique German bisque Schafer and Vater figural elephant shaving mug. It is well molded with nice relief and detail. It has a cameo of ballerina on each side and figural elephant handles. The condition is very good undamaged. There is only minor paint wear on the gold. ~ Antique German Piano Baby ~ Marked"Germany" on base with symbol that resembles a shield This is a large antique German bisque piano baby figurine that is from a deceased relative's China cabinet from the New Orleans area. I am not an expert on all the manufacturers of that era. But I do know that the authentic ones are marked or stamped with a symbol, crest or shield. This one has a stamp and also reads"Germany" on the base, while many others listed on eBay do not. So this one is not"probably" the real deal. IT IS. It is in the style of Conta& Boehme( This baby girl has golden tresses and is holding a cup. The era of this doll falls between the 1850s-1900. She has great, even pastel coloring and big dark-blue intaglio eyes with defined highlights, rosy cheeks with a hint of dimples, and an open smiling ... moremouth with row of molded upper teeth; blonde hair with pointy curls framing the happy face; bare feet with upturned toes; she wears a yellow embossed dress with gold highlights with blue lace ruffle trim and fuchsia pink bows at the shoulders, and she is holding a lavender-pink-colored cup. She is in overall fair condition. Because she is missing a little part of her index finger on her right hand. There is also a hairline on underside of base that slightly and very faintly extends up the bottom sides of the figurine(about 1/2-1/4 inch, please see photo) The hair line is smooth. I do not have the tip of the finger. PLEASE SEE PICS of underside and edge of base. Neither the hair line or little chip next to it is visible for purposes of display. This lady is absolutely gorgeous. And nearly perfect in structural condition. No chips or cracks. There are some patches. At the neck, which appear to be some type of adhering agent. She needs to be cleaned. But i am leaving that, to the buyer, so that they can give her the delicate care, that she deserves. Head has original pin, which allows free movement, and the hands have the original wires, so that they can balance small bisque balls on both hands and head, for your royal entertainment. There are no identifying marks, though I do believe her to be made in Japan, sometime in the late 1940's or early 1950's, and brought to America, by Ardalt. Superb! Antique German Porcelain Bisque Children Figure Bust Figurine Dresden
Gorgeous pair of Victorian handpainted busts of a little girl and boy. They date late 1800s and are beautifully handpainted and modeled. Measure approximately 11 and 10 1/2 inches high by 6 inches wide. They display wonderfully however the boy's hat has been broken and reglued to a section(see photos) and the girl is excellent besides a bit of paint wear on her chin and some nibbles to the very bottom base. Featured for Auction we have an Antique/ Vintage bisque figurine of a cherub on the side of a dragon headed sleigh. Wonderful coloring. Probably hand painted in pastel colors, with raised enamel. At least we believe this is bisque it may be porcelain. The little cherub is just adorable with his wavy hair, blue eyes, pink wings, and his arrow on his side. It measures about 8 1/2" long by 5" wide and 6" tall. We believe it is German in Origin, but are not certain as there are No Markings. It is in wonderful condition, with minor chipping on the flowers. Also we don't know if the dragons nose is supposed to blunt as it is or if it was pointy originally and broken off and repainted, as it is hard to tell. Outstanding pair of early spill vases that have been filled and capped possibly during production. Faint impression on the back bottom of girl that looks like"GERMANY" Which I've tried to capture in the photos but is so light as to be indiscernible. Bisque porcelain with a green matte glaze with gold accents. Superb condition for age with only some minor chipping: Boy: flower is missing its leaves- Girl: Flower is missing one petal. All else is intact and perfect! No repairs, hairlines, etc. Check out the girls' hat! Both are standing on ladders(orchard sitters) Heavy from being filled. No other discernible marks. Rare Victorian German Bisque Piano Baby Karl Schneider Antique Figurine Figure
This is a very sweet and rare to find German bisque baby created by the Karl Schneider factory c1880-1910. He is one of the nicest I have had to sell. An adorable handpainted face! He is in excellent condition with no chips or repairs and measures just under 9 inches wide by 5 inches high. Marked on the bottom with impressed numbers of 10527, Germany and the Karl Schneider factory mark. He is a gorgeous baby for the collector! Antique Vintage German Bisque Doll or Girl figurine Planter with Cherub or Angel
You are bidding on one vintage bisque figurine made in Germany. This is a nice size piece. To me it looks like paradise. This is a very whimsicle piece. It measures approx 8 1/4 inches tall. Across the bottom 7 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide. Measured across the front approx 8 inches long. This item is marked. It appears to be a G Dep and a number 8712 etched in the bottom. This is of a girl with a cherub or angel looking into a planter of some sought. On the bottom are two ducks drinking water from a water fall. Very nice piece. There are a few small chips. Around the top vase type part at the tips. I see three of the tips have small chips. On the cherub or boy his hand has two chips one on the inside and one on the outside. His purple wrap also has a small chip on the front and a larger chip on the side of it. I see a little chip ... morealso on one of the pieces of wood along the bottom basket. All chips are small. I used a magnifying glass to find most of them. There is some gold paint wear on the bottom of the girls skirt and other places. I am not sure what the makers marks for these type of items are, so I can not tell you who made them. I will however try to capture them in a picture for you to see. I was told this was German bisque, but again, I have no way of knowing for sure. This is an adorable item. Please see all pictures. I wish I could add more than twelve pictures for some of these pieces. This is an estate sale find, actually the bisque items came from a place that attends auctions and also purchases entire estates. I am not an expert. I will describe items to the best of my ability and tell you what I see. Because I am not perfect it is possible for me to miss something that is important to an expert. If I did not mention any other issues, I do not see any other issues. All of the pieces seem a bit dusty and could use to be wiped down with a damp cloth. Antique Bisque Figurines BOY& GIRL by CARL SCHNEIDER Late 19th Century Germany Up for bid is a pair of antique German bisque porcelain figurines made by the Carl Schneider porcelain factory. One is a boy wearing a Swiss Alpine style hat and back pack. He carries a walking stick in one hand. The other is a little girl with a big bow in her hair. She has long braids down her back and she wears an old fashioned pinafore over her pleated skirt. The fronts of the figures were hand painted; the backs remain plain white. On each figure. The backs of the shoes are marked(impressed) One foot reads: GERMANY and includes the marking of a C with two arrows running through it. The word DEP follows. The other foot/shoe reads with a number code 10644 along with a number 15 and the word GERMANY. ... moreThe marks on theses pieces identify the maker as the Carl Schneider factory and I believe the format dates the pair from some time in the late 19th century(circa 1879 to 1886) Note: the word DEP indicates the piece was Registered. This practice did not start until the year 1879. Both pieces measures approx 8" high. The girl is slightly less and closer to 7 7/8" tall. Condition: Unfortunately the boy has a bit of damage. The upper end of his walking stick has broken off right were it extends from his hand. One has to look closely to notice this. And it is really more noticeable to touch(as it is a little sharper than normal) rather than to the eye. There are no other chips, and NO cracks. There are NO repairs. All the nice detail in bow and hat show no damage. There is obvious color wear, with much of the paint on front being worn off. Finally, when looking very closely at boy's nose one may notice a slight irregularity- this is from when the piece was made and is not damage or wear. This is an excellent quality bisque bust of Robert Burns. Very. Very nice piece. Could possibly be Parian Ware. 1759-1796 Scottish poet& lyricist, regarded as the national poet of scotland. I don't know anything about the piece. It belonged to my mother& has been boxed away for over 40 years& before that it belonged to my uncle who was an antique collector.The condition is perfect, no chips or cracks, 8" high, 4 3/4' across shoulders. Marked Burns across his back shoulders& also signed in a circle but I can't read it, it looks like RocL but I can't be sure. Antique Large German Bisque Porcelain Heubach Bros. Piano Baby Figurine Nice!
For your consideration is an Antique Piano Baby Figurine made by Gebruder Heubach. A Piano baby is a figurine used to hold the edges down on the large shawls that would cover the piano. Doll sits 8 1/4" tall. The company. Which translates as Heubach Brothers, was established in 1843 by Georg Christoph and Phillipp Jakob Heubach when they purchased an existing porcelain factory in Lichte, Germany. The company began to manufacture items such as household pottery. Figurines and novelties, and in 1863 opened a local art school for sculptors. This training led to the company becoming renowned for its high quality and lifelike figurines, including their range of which are highly sought after by modern collectors. The company registered its‘sunburst’ mark in 1882. And by 1910 h ad begun to produce bisque dolls. Along with bisque doll heads ... morefor other manufacturers across Europe and the United States. Very unusual piano baby. She is quite large. 7 inches tall in a sitting position, and 6 inches front to back and almost 4 inches wide. There is a red number 43 marked on the base. This Northern European white porcelain bisque figure of a woman is probably German and has a distinct mark on its bottom that we are unable to identify. Dimensions: The figure stands approximately 6& 1/4" tall. 2& 1/2" deep and 3& 1/2" across Condition: some of the petals on the flowers in the basket and at the feet of the lady have been chipped but such losses are not easy to see unless examined closely.
