Rare Pair of Antique German KPM Porcelain Girl & Boy Sleigh Dresden Figurine
This is a gorgeous pair of large handpainted porcelain figural KPM sleighs! A boy and girl dressed in Royal clothing and both sleighs covered in apprlied porcelain flowers. Beautiful! They are heavy weighted porcelain and each measure approximately 8 inches high by 10 inches wide. Both have some chipping to the applied flowers and leaves and on the boy's sleigh. It looks like there is some yellowing and wear to the paint/glaze. Not readily noticed on display unless you are looking. Overall a gorgeous Victorian pair for the collector! ~ Antique German Figurine ~ This is a very lovely handpainted German porcelain figure with fine modeling. Superb coloring, and exquisite porcelain applied flowers. A beautiful maiden sits atop two decorative tasseled pillows, and she is helping Cupid as he is struggling to climb up next to her. Cupid's bow and arrows are on the ground at their feet, and the woman holds one golden arrow in her hand. The figure is a nice large size measuring 8 1/2" tall by 7" wide. And it is in excellent condition aside from arrow has tip chip and a few tiny nicks to flower petals/leaves, very minor. It is ca 1875 and is stamped in blue( Dresden Germany” stamp used 1881) and incised with 5575N. It is in excellent condition! The charming dog features lots of wispy. Curly fur and variegated gray spots. Its eyes are greenish yellow and are lined in dark red. The nose and mouth are painted red surrounded with indications of whisker pits. German porcelain pink pigs in woven laundry basket. Early piece Sweet little porcelain piece that may have been a souvenir. Two pink pigs. One peaking over the top of the basket, and one poking his head through the basket. Pigs are not as"pink" as later examples are- they're light pink with dark ears. Realistic"woven" basket with what looks like straw at the top, and touches of g old paint all over the front of the basket. Like many of these early figures. The ba ck is unpainted. This is a beautiful half doll related ballerina dancer figurine made in Germany. Her arms are raised in a dance pose. The skirt of her dress is white with blue and gold gilt flowers and her bodice is painted in gold gilt. Approximately 4 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide. ~ Antique German Piano Baby ~ Marked"Germany" on base with symbol that resembles a shield This is a large antique German bisque piano baby figurine that is from a deceased relative's China cabinet from the New Orleans area. I am not an expert on all the manufacturers of that era. But I do know that the authentic ones are marked or stamped with a symbol, crest or shield. This one has a stamp and also reads"Germany" on the base, while many others listed on eBay do not. So this one is not"probably" the real deal. IT IS. It is in the style of Conta& Boehme( This baby girl has golden tresses and is holding a cup. The era of this doll falls between the 1850s-1900. She has great, even pastel coloring and big dark-blue intaglio eyes with defined highlights, rosy cheeks with a hint of dimples, and an open smiling ... moremouth with row of molded upper teeth; blonde hair with pointy curls framing the happy face; bare feet with upturned toes; she wears a yellow embossed dress with gold highlights with blue lace ruffle trim and fuchsia pink bows at the shoulders, and she is holding a lavender-pink-colored cup. She is in overall fair condition. Because she is missing a little part of her index finger on her right hand. There is also a hairline on underside of base that slightly and very faintly extends up the bottom sides of the figurine(about 1/2-1/4 inch, please see photo) The hair line is smooth. I do not have the tip of the finger. PLEASE SEE PICS of underside and edge of base. Neither the hair line or little chip next to it is visible for purposes of display. I do not know enough about antique porcelain to know if the missing finger can be repaired/replaced, but I am guessing that this is possible if someone chooses to do so. There are a few scattered specks of spotty discoloration from age, the only ones really noticeable are on her toes. Gorgeous Boy and Girl Figurines by Conta Boehme of Germany. Circa 1840 They both are dressed in white and pink clothing with floral accents. Conta Boehme shield mark to base and what looks like the numbers 1441 on each and a 0. They are in excellent condition the only thing I can see is a firing crack to the left side of her dress. Quite heavy and great quality pieces. Approximately 6 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide at the base. They could also use a good cleaning. I will leave that to their new owner. Antique German Porcelain Volkstedt Dresden Lady Blackamoor Lamp Figurine Figure
This is a a beautiful and quite rare to find figural lamp created by the Muller Volkstedt factory of Germany. A lady is sitting at her vanity powdering her face as a young boy puts her shoe on her foot. It is a rare example created by this factory and dates 1920s-40s. The lady has a tiny chip on the end of her pointer finger and the boy has a broken thumb. Minor on display. There is some lace chipping to her gown as well. I did not test the lamp to see if it works however the cord is intact. Measures 8 1/2 inches high by 5 1/2 inches wide. Very special piece for the collector! Measure approximately 11 and 10 1/2 inches high by 6 inches wide. They display wonderfully however the boy's hat has been broken and reglued to a section(see photos) and the girl is excellent besides a bit of paint wear on her chin and some nibbles to the very bottom base. Featured for Auction we have an Antique/ Vintage bisque figurine of a cherub on the side of a dragon headed sleigh. Wonderful coloring. Probably hand painted in pastel colors, with raised enamel. At least we believe this is bisque it may be porcelain. The little cherub is just adorable with his wavy hair, blue eyes, pink wings, and his arrow on his side. It measures about 8 1/2" long by 5" wide and 6" tall. We believe it is German in Origin, but are not certain as there are No Markings. It is in wonderful condition, with minor chipping on the flowers. Also we don't know if the dragons nose is supposed to blunt as it is or if it was pointy originally and broken off and repainted, as it is hard to tell. If you look at the fifth picture, that yellowish spot looks to be a something goopy and mostly came off, you could probably ... moreclean it up even better, its not bad, but wanted to mention it. This is a beautiful 2 piece Dresden ballerina lady dancer figurine flower frog or hatpin holder that was manufactured in Germany by Volkstedt. The ballerina's bodice is green and her tutu is also accented in that color. The bottom of her base is accented in gold gilt. The bowl is white and it is accented in gold gilt around its edges. A wonderful antique 18th century style rococo coach with coachman pulled by four spirited horses. All rendered in white porcelain. Hand painted accents on the white porcelain are highlighted with touches of gold. Probably made in early 20th century. No apparent maker's marks; one-piece construction. It could use a cleaning. One foreleg is broken and has old repair glue remaining- seperated leg remains. One pole end is broken(the foremost) Gold thread for horse lead is missing. Martius is in very good condition with no crazing, but there is a chip under his right hand. To look at the figurine eye level and normally, it doesn't look like anything's awry. Rare smaller Meissen Porcelain Figure.M 104 91"Love Bound" A LOVELY MEISSEN CUPID PUTTO TIED UP. This"Love Bound" German figurine depicting the god Cupid dates from the 19TH CENTURY. Cupid is the god of desire. Erotic love, attraction, and affection. As you can see by viewing the pictures. Our poor little putto sits on a on circular grassy pedestal. The perimeter of Cupid's pedestal is painted in beautiful hues of blues and pinks and accented with gold draping and a sea shell design. This little angel and mighty cherub is sans clothing with only a pink/mauve cloth covering him. His hands and small purple and white angel's wings are tied behind his back. His facial expression show discomfort at being put into such a helpless position. His hair is wavy and detailed. They don't make porcelain figures and figurines ... morelike this any more! Very good condition- no cracks. One of the cherub's hand shows signs of previous repair. The top of one of his feet is chipped as is common for these 19th century Meissen antiques. Underneath are the clear marks used between 1875 and 1900- The Meissen crossed swords in underglaze blue. First quality. Incised M 104 and small 91 impressed in the base. A beautiful Schafer Vater creation executed in delicate porcelain and glazed a soft pink. This antique figurine shows two Japanese girls, one with an outstretched, graphic folding fan and the other playing a stringed instrument while she dances. In great condition except that at some point in its life the tip of the stringed instrument was lost. This beautiful German porcelain statue is about 5 inches tall and 5 inches wide. Lightly impressed with the Schafer Vater mark on the bottom. This is a wonderful example of the craze for all things Oriental at the Turn Of the Century, where even the commonest of figurines was given a bold, dramatic Asian twist.
